i doubt gen made any of this music. he's not a musician, he's a performer. PTV's acid house music was made by a group of electronic musicians that gen "worked" with.
That's what I said, although I don't particularly care or respect Gen's character enough to acknowledge his pandrogyne experiment. He was born a man, lived most of his life up until meeting his deceased wife as a man, and I don't believe paying for surgery to make your appearance as close to your significant other is enough to accomplish the goal he set out to acheive with that experiment in the first place. To each their own though, I loved his work in Coum Transmissions, Throbbing Gristle, and almost all of the Psychic Tv records up until after Trip/Reset. On top of that Genesis is just straight up interesting, I admire weird people like him that embrace the more extreme flavors of the human condition. Gen and the musicians he worked with were and continue to be a huge inspiration to me musically, spiritually and so on; especially Sleazy and his later works as Coil.
Yeah, before and after being exiled from their native UK, PTV decided to go Techno. Chris & Cosey were still the superior musicians that spun off from TG. Gen always just wanted to be a god himself. The fart performance stuff gets old after a while. Besides it takes new generations of people to scare into thinking you're some majician or something.
