I have the 8ight racer and it is a trip.
Im noticing people commenting a bunch about the quality of the aluminum used for the chassis and the fact that its a 4s vehicle. You guys have to realize this truggy is based off the race version. They only allow 4s for racing and this thing isn’t marketed as a basher.
Looked at all the chassis photos , and to be honest all I can think is some parts quality are pretty dire for the asking price . Shock towers are crappy and thin cast metal and look awful for the asking price of the truggy . Horizon hobby is going to price themselves out of business if they keep giving underpar quality at higher price levels . It's no where near the quality of the likes of my 150 amp HoBao Hyper VS2 buggy which is £160 UK pounds cheaper than this losi . The losi isn't worth more than £450 UK pounds at a stretch , of it's asking price of £680 UK pounds . The losi under par quality is pretty dire for the asking price . My verdict of losi is a no go from the start . Horizon hobby is ripping people off , and I'm not interested in them making money to make them richer , for an underparr in quality RC 🤔 .

Overpriced, 6061 not 7075 aluminum, 4s. Its not a buy.
Of course it runs 4s, it's a race truggy lmao.

@@cacanjacowans540 kind of just parroting what the OP said. This is meant to be mostly used on the track and im assuming they used cheaper aluminum cause its gonna be run only on the 4s cause not a lot of tracks are big enough to allow 6s capable cars

I think it's priced really good for people who don't have the money for the kit or doesn't wanna put 2k for a kit and don't even like the racing environment. I mean just buying the esc and motor individually is already $400 lol.
Its ugly af, but I’m sure it will perform like an arrma “tuned buy losi” and be as fun. We will know if and when they go on discount sale. It’s all horizon, same electronics, blah blah. This isn’t really my forte, but i like driving fast cars and bashing.
Looks good imo. Looks like a TLR Kraton with buggy tires. Might be my first Losi
