There was a kind of attractive feeling in the OGs that is totally missing in the new ones. I think its because the OGs were from two of the CW's most famous shows-The Flash and Arrow. And they were also a bunch we never thought we would see together but their chemistry was just amazing with each other.
I don't think it was just that... First two seasons were very different than the later ones. In first two, it wasn't just about joking and messing around. It was "more serious" back then. Betrayals, killing, spying etc. that was on the days menu. Mick, Snart and Sara were specifically recruited, how did Snart put it? To "rob, maim or kill". Season 3 was "the break". It was still serious, or at least attempted to. Season 4 and later was just a joke. I mean stopping magical creatures, who were imprisoned with the demon Mallus, and they made most of them circus freaks. I mean come on, did they really tried to convince us, that it was people who were bad, not the monsters that were LOCKED IN FREAKIN' HELL? Not to mention contradictions. In first episode there was a heart-eating unicorn and then we saw minotaur who just wanted play guitar... That was just wrong.
First season was mediocre, saved by performances alone, not plot, only got better after hawkman left and we got actual villains. Later seasons were all in on the campy which worked for me but I can see why people wouldn’t like it
I remember when this show actually had a team made up of dc characters Now they're all mostly original characters the writers made. Citizen steel is the only actual comic book character still on the team if i remember correctly.

This kitchen was not the area where the legends ate in season 1. In that season I believe the kitchen was a small counter in the clothing fabrication room. But then in season 2 this room randomly existed while the clothing fabricator room no longer had the counter. This was all before flashpoint even started to affect legends of tomorrow. Also the only time in the show where Captain Cold and Hackman were on the team together was the first 2 episodes of season 1. This kinda makes me wonder if this memory actually happened or if this never actually happened and was just inspired the the OG legends roster. But I’m probably looking to far into this all and it could be explained as flashpoint changed this room but it’s still kinda weird to me.
1. My guess is the kitchen came to be due to Jax's ship renovations (like for example the library, which has been established to be built by him) 2. You're right about the Snart/Hawkman thing, and about the kitchen not being there in season 1, but honestly that's not the only thing that's off; the characterizations seem weird too (Caty seems to he playing Sara with the sort of lightness and exaggaration she plays her in the later seasons, Hawkman is a totally cartoonish (albeit funnier and more entrataining) version of himself, Ray wouldn't be this offended by being called "boy scout", and the Legends as a whole didn't get along great at this point but they weren't this dysfunctional or violent towards each other (save for Mick as Chronos)). My headcanon is that this is just exactly what the show says it is; Gideon's memory. And while, in theory, an AI should be able to remember things as they truly were, this whole ep is about Gideon becoming human, and humans do not remember things 100% correctly. Our memories are influenced by our emotions, opinions and perspectives, and that could be exactly what's happening here; Gideon remembers the Legends differently as how they actually were, and gets certain details like the ones you mentioned wrong, due to a negative outlook of the Legends at the time and simple forgetfulness (especially considering this was over 6 years ago for her, the kitchen's been around for a while so she's probably gotten used to it, and the Hawkman thing is really just a small detail). Of course, the real reason behind it is a writting mishap.
I miss the superhero costumes the most. Look, I'm not saying wear them every episode. But final episode season boss battle, you put the white suede on!

And this is right after their son from another life was killed, so that was like episode 1 or 2. And this was reliving memories from the past, including moments like these from the beginning of season 1
Maybe is was just a threat. Ray knew that he could do it because he had gone missing that entire year in arrow however he didn’t quite know how to control yet
I had left legends after season 3, (just lost interest in it I guess) and I returned solely for this episode and I was so so lost to these new characters and the loss of many of them. I have some catching up to do but from what I’ve seen so far don’t think I wanna continue.

It's crazy how different season one was. I see people in the comments hating on how it started leaning more into comedy and how they didn't do suits anymore in the later seasons, and I disagree. The comedy is my favorite part and I am fine without the suits. In the later seasons, they feel more like a family of regular people who just get into wacky shenanigans, and I love that. Also, Avalance is the best part of the show, so I am biased towards the newer seasons.
