The first bakery was a straight-up scam. You shouldn't feel bad for saying the cake was horrible, they absolutely should not accept orders they're unable to fulfill and charge that much for it.

The first cake was absolutely atrocious, and considering how much they charged and how they wanted all of the money upfront... that is absolutely wild!

Edit: The 3rd cake is truly a work of art! It would have pained me to cut it. Definitely worth a good $1000!

I agree! I wouldve been beyond upset with that first cake considering they were all $100-200 apart in pricing. I predicted that last cake to be about 800, so idk if i just dont know how gourmet cakes are priced but i felt like that would've been reasonable if i was charged that cuz it was beautiful and deliciously made as well. I expect $1000s to come from top notch designer bakeries or celeb bakers i guess
i used to work at a cake bakery and i can't imagine selling someone a cake like that first one 😭 especially not for that much money. i'm sure they tried their best, but it just seems unprofessional. i hope they're able to practice more and get better at designing cakes

Therefore; *it’s 100% it’s a true crime rotten mango cake masterpiece*

Second one is obviously better but I would not be putting that out either, for the cost of wedding cakes I think there needs to be a definite high standard. The cake texture looked great on that one!

As a former cake decorator there, they totally deserve it. The ladies in the bakery work so hard and are such a blast to work with, especially the woman who made this cake.
that first cake...the scribbles everywhere & cardboard made it look like a 5 min art and craft even though im sure they spent way more time on it but to give someone that for their special day.....idk. the last one though made my jaw DROP! amazing detail and designs all around!! hopefully the actual cake will have MMB's carrot cake for his book!!

Third cake, *chefs kiss* looks fantastic! They actually did detail work that’s looks GOOD, and from close up AND far away it looks beautiful. Also, Mr. Mango Butt, LET STEPHANIE SAVE THE TOPPERS!! Fondant and modeling chocolate can be preserved and saved!!

First of all, I want to say that Mr Mango Butt is such an amazing artist to come up with this concept. That drawing was amazing, and also the last cake was beautifully made. The little details in it just show how much care and time that they spent on this.

I'd say that first cake was worth about 200.00 just for it's comedic potential and funny story to tell for the rest of your lives after the trauma has resolved.

im still on the first cake but: bakers do put supports in tall or stacked cakes so they won't collapse. The first person put a little too much, especially with the cardboard that could've been replaced by fondant. but having those supports is normal and needed!
OMG ALSO theres a youtuber who makes amazing realistic cakes named sideserf. if she lives anywhere near you guys and accepts making a cake for you, then hers would 100% not dissapoint

Not sure if you’ll see this on the older video so just posting this again! Korea Ideas for you Stephanie!! I tried these while I was in Korea the past summer and I think you’d really enjoy them:
- rent a tandem bike and ride by Hangang on a nice day before sunset, then have a night picnic by the river. The vibes are sooo nice
- Try making your own artisanal traditional Korean rice cakes, I used an Airbnb experience and a lady named Jinsil taught us how to make them! Look it up~

As someone who work in the bakery ,that's unacceptable for the first one it doesn't even look decent the cake isn't even edible .
