KINGDOM HEARTS Coded - How to Play the Demo on PC! [Tutorial]

Finally, I had some time to make another video. Recently, some people have managed to access to the internal data from the Docomo P-01A and grab the KINGDOM HEARTS Coded Demo executable. This is a big step forward in the preservation of this videogame, but there's still a lot to be done.
In this new video, I'll show you how to play the KH Coded demo on your PC using a developer emulator. This emulator was used back in the day for developing phone games. In fact, judging by the game files, I'd say that the team that developed KH Coded used this same emulator as well.

Oh wow, I don't know anything about coding, but I can tell you as a kid seeing this available only in Japan broke my heart because I wanted to play the next KH games so bad 😂 luckily we got Re: Coded at least. I'm still a diehard fan so if one day you manage to get the full game working I might check it out. Keep up the good work!

So I never realized this game was sprite based (similar in appearance to New Super Mario Bros. for the DS) because all of the footage was grainy
Does the game crash to anybody else at the large body round? Any suggestion?

Some might still struggle setting this up even tho the steps are pretty clear, couldnt have made a better video.
Make sure you run most of your shit as Administrator, as it might not work otherwise.
Also, recommended to really use the paths he suggested, such as, c:/program file (x86). Don't try to run this of your E:/usbstick/school

I can't play the game. When I press "RUN" i simply get a white screen. Whats wrong?

Yeah most of the data in the game has been preserved, the problem is the lack of an executable I believe
Why do people want to play the original version when we can play the DS version, which is the same thing?
Because it's not the same thing? The DS version was a remake that overhauled the entire game. The original on the other hand is impossible to find nowadays. More than anything it's about preservation and seeing the game in it's original state, something most fans outside Japan haven't ever been able to.
It's actually exactly the same as asking why someone would want to play the original GBA CoM over Re:CoM since they're the same game, even though they're clearly quite different.
iirc the original version doesn't use System Sectors, which is already a massive difference since that's such a central mechanic of the DS version.
So they're really not the same. Having both options available can't be a bad thing.

It's part of KH's history, it deserves to be preserved

Surprisingly, even though he only has two videos uploaded, he has a lot of comments and 600 or more subscribers. It's not bad for a recnet channel. Even TheGamersJoint did a video on him. So, with all of this It inspired me to ask you this question. Do you want to help him. I understand if you don't want to I just wanted to ask.

@13thVessel okay I understand. I do admit I was thinking about contacting some of the old Timeline team to see if they would like to help themselves. Do you think they would be interested.
@@13thVessel I do have a few map ideas for KH3. My first one is to see if you could import the maps from Oogie's Revenge into the game.
