    The event featured speeches from Anthony Kiedis of the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Civil Rights Lawyer Ben Crump, and Motown songwriter Janie Bradford. Each shared personal anecdotes about Clinton, highlighting his charisma and influence. Steve Nissen, the president of the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce, declared January 19 as “George Clinton Day in Hollywood,” amplifying the celebration.
    Notables such as Lenny Kravitz, original P-Funk band members, and DJs Cassidy and Battle Cat were present, adding to the event's grandeur. Clinton's musical legacy, with hits like “P-Funk (Wants To Get Funked Up),” “Mothership Connection,” and “One Nation Under a Groove,” was celebrated.
    An Audible Original titled …And Your Ass Will Follow, detailing Clinton's journey from Motown to the Mothership, is set to release on February 2.
