Let’s be honest, this was long overdue. This guy is a walking legend.
I never thought it would happen since he’s been out of the lime light for quite a while
I'm watching him in AHS right now and damn you're right
So true!
It was long overdue. But he was absent from the spotlight throughout the early 2000s to late 20 teens. Now that he’s back with his podcast and doing interviews it was probably the best time to give it to him.
💯 correct
The way he still calls her mom and when he tears up. ❤️😭
That’s beautiful
He still calls her mom…that’s so heartwarming
It's always a tradition for me to watch Home Alone every Christmas day, ever since I was a kid until today and I'm 38. Proud of Macaulay Culkin. Well deserved!💯
Same for me at 39 years old!
Me tooo!! My Xmas wont be complete without watching 1 and 2
My Christmas has to include Home Alone 1 and 2
Same for me, I’m 28 and still watch both 1 and 2
For me it’s always home alone 2 every Xmas ❤
How does one even compose themselves after that tribute from the amazing Catherine O'Hara...what an honor and deserved. Great speech, I 100% teared up
Facts 💯🎯
She said she was his "fake mother" but I dont think there was anything fake about it. She was his movie mom and they both touched our hearts with their relationship.
Agreed. He even called her mom at 00:26. I don’t think there’s anything fake about their relationship. There’s clearly a loving bond there.
I don't usually care about Walk of Fame ceremonies, but this one was definitely worth watching. I'm 44 and I grew up watching Home Alone at Christmas and anytime I could. This was long overdue and definitely deserved. That's sweet that he called her momma and she responded calling him 'darling baby'. So moving.
Catherine is a class act.
She sure is, a phenomenal woman in all the sense of the word.
She definitely is. And aged beautifully well. I'm so shocked how wonderful she looks at her age.
She’s delightful
Mother and son 2gether again is just so beautiful!!
Just sad that dad wasn’t there 🥺🥺
@@iqranedzereie6026 sad to say the dad died in real life
@@jasondeguzman6279 RIP John Heard aka Peter McCallister 😢😢
Both of them deserve their flowers. They're both 90s staples and essential to childhood memories. From Beetlejuice to Page Master and My Girl.
They are not only 90s staples! But staples now 😊 Goodness, I love what Culkin has been up too, and Catherine playing the iconic Moira Rose on Schitts Creek was AMAZING. I am sad it ended a little while back…
Catherine is a comedy icon.
She's clearly everything Mac wants in a mother, that his own mother couldn't or never gave him. The reason he invited her there for sure :)
When I found out about his parents divorce it was quite a shock to me!
He said on a podcast recently that he’s on good terms with his mother. His father on the other hand…
I noticed that with all the awards Kieran Culkin has been winning lately, he's been thanking his mother and not his father.
I used to worry about Macaulay when I'd see things in the news. But he really does seem to have turned out OK. I hope he's as happy as he'd made us over the years.
Yes!! I remember like 8 years ago they thought he was on drugs because of that picture of him looking super skinny.
He is the best to start a child actor nobody can top him
I hope so too
The media and paparazzi are there to report news, not make news. I can't imagine what so many actors and other famous ppl have to go through because of some pathetic troll journalists. Very sad.
Super proud of him. Well deserved
She didn’t forget him this time ❤
Catherine O’Hara is such a Canadian icon and a star, can’t wait to see her reprise her role in Beetlejuice 2.
He earned it.
“KEVIN!?!?!”
Catherine O'Hara is a wonderful human being.
Man I’m so happy this guy found the light and is married to a beautiful wife with a child together. We all thought he was another one going down the dark path to the grave.
Agree So proud of this man, congratulations Macaulay
They live together, they are not married.
I love this. Now, it's time for Catherine to get her overdue Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
We need a Home Alone movie comeback of these mother and son tandem! Just perfect! Don’t we?
Omg yes that would be sooo amazing!!
Who knows? Maybe this speech will convince Hollywood to do it.
You didn’t watch Saw?
Uh no that’s a pass for me. I thought we all mostly agreed to stop with the rehashings/remakes/reboots
Yes where hes grown up and his family going on vacation w the grandparents and someone gets left behind lol
Catherine looks great!! Love her
I'm surprised he didn't get his star sooner! So well deserved!
He said "mum" so sweet
She has always been so beautiful!
I have tears of joy seeing Macaulay Culkin healthy and happy. This sweet soul of a man went through so much to get where he is today and I'm honestly just proud of him! He is so deserving of his Hollywood Star of Fame. ❤ Icon from my childhood! It wasn't until my adult years that I learned this was a "Christmas" classic. I watched it religiously on my VCR until it just stopped working. 😂
Proud of him, so well deserved 🥹👏❤️
I really love Home Alone 1 and 2. Its a traditional movie that I watch every year. It makes me laugh so much and gives me joy. Its a lot of fun. Great job Macaulay!
I love Macaulay Culkin. I think he looks just as adorable now as he did in those home alone movies. May God bless him and his family. Those home alone movies still bring me joy and laughter to this day. Congratulations Macaulay, I still think you are a brilliant actor who deserves a star.
These two were amazing together in those films
He deserves this! He should’ve had one a long time ago!! ❤️
So sweet! Home alone is a must watch every year in our house and it’s because of him! He deserves this star so much 😊
I been watching Home Alone since it came out! And I am now 37 years old with 6 kids of my own and they all know that movie! We watch both every single year! Sometimes not even on Christmas 😂 this movie is and will always be a big part of my life! Thank you Macaulay Culkin for the best Christmas movie ever!
You weren’t born when it came out! 👶🏼
You may want to recalculate :) @@Justyna_N
@@Justyna_NThe movie is only 33 years old
Not sure where you live, but they’ve got a festive season in the local cinema near me here in the uk, and they are showing Home Alone 1&2, might go and see it, would be awesome to see them on the big screen 😁 (I’m 39)
Long time coming and well deserved. Wish that John Heard (Peter Mccallister) was still around to witness this.
I can’t believe he’s just getting a star!!! It’s almost insulting this man was THE childhood king of the kids 🎉
Im really tearing up seeing them together again ❤❤❤
Culkin definitely deserves this. And O'Hara is looking so fine at her old age.
What a lovely speech and tribute. If “Home Alone” were the only thing that he ever give to the world, it would have been enough. I enjoy watching it with my 9-year-old daughter ever since she discovered it last year and fell in love with it.
Rest In Peace John Hughes.😢
Congratulations Macaulay, wonderful speech by Catherine too.
One of best childhood friends. Kevin was a great example that we could outsmart adults when we had to.
Without Macaulay Culkin, there would be no Home Alone trilogy, no Boy Meets World, no Ned’s Declassified, no Suite Life of Zack and Cody, no Stranger Things, and there would no Good Boys.
33 years after Home Alone arrived in movie theaters, Macaulay has received his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. As a fan, I congratulate him because this wonderful story is an example of how as long as we keep our faith while facing hardship God knows how to work things out for good in order to find redemption.
It was possible due to his determination, not some fairy tale like "God". Silly religious freak
Why is he responsible for Zack and Cody and Stranger Things?
Round of applause for Macaulay Culkin I grew up on his movies in the 90's and hes still doing it as an adult is great he deserves it
My favorite movies with him are Richie Rich and Getting Even With Dad
I grew up with Macaulay Culkin. I am glad he is doing so well.
I'm 41 and I watch Home Alone with my two kids now around Christmas time. I remember my Mom taking me to see it as a kid and it's still a highlight moment of my life. The McAlister's are family to me, great moment to see. Well deserved
Catherine was so good to show up for Macaulay!! She's awesome.💯
Love them both!!Not the real mother and son , but still mother and son!!
Legendary Home Alone! This was really sweet to see them reunite; you can still see the love between them ❤
I can imagine this like a McCallister family accomplishment day with Kate being proud of her son Kevin achieving the fame and success that he has worked hard for so long. It’s just sad that his dad Peter wasn’t there to see 🥺🥺
because he died
If only they were a happy family onscreen as they seemed offscreen
@@sabinahoudkova1417 RIP John Heard aka Peter McCallister 😢😢
Time is passing fast and the lifestyle of the generation we have now is changing but no matter what happens the young Macaulay Culkin will never be lost or forgotten because he is one of the companions in our childhood memories especially during the month of Christmas.
The best Christmas movie ever
Love the reunion ❤
What a gift every year to watch this hugely talented performance! Thank you and congratulations Macaulay Culkin!
I love what Culkin has been up too, and Catherine playing the iconic Moira Rose on Schitts Creek was AMAZING. I am sad it ended a little while back…
Great speech! And yes our family doesn't go a year without watching Home Alone 1 or 2
One of the best speeches given for the Walk of Fame ceremony.
My absolute favorite Christmas movie and the first movie I'd seen in theaters as a child. Thank you to the entire cast for this wonderful memorable movie.
This is beautiful!! Love them both!!
Such a beatiful moment.. Every Christmas i watched home alone i was little boy when i first saw it 7 years old in 2006 still every christmas i watch only 2 original parts and now WITH my wife and my littke daughter.. Im 24 now young father.. Seeing this had me to tears ngl.. GUY IS A LEGEND!!
She looks incredible
Wow, what a beautiful speech. Tearing up seeing them together ❤
The mother who always wanted and wasn't. McCauley my best wishes to you!!!
Sweet little boy! I’m glad he’s getting this!😊
I am 47 and every chritsmas i watch the movie. And my son is 11 now and we watch it together.
Thanks For all! It si a great movie (Home alone) and all christmas i have to watch this movie, i feel like a child again. Thanks! Regards from Perú!!
This young man deserves it! He’s be of the best actors as a young boy. Christmas wouldn’t be the same without home alone or part 2. This is an iconic movie for ever and these two movies will be a forever tradition for every family and their kids to watch. This kid had a hard life growing up because of his ugly parents seeing him as a ATM! He looks so healthy and happy now. I hope he’s truly happy and found peace within himself. You’re the man Macaulay Culkin!! God bless you brother.. you deserve it and much more. You still see the lil boy in him. That’s awesome grown man with the boy in you.
Beautfiful speech, I love when Catherine talks about the sense of humor part as well
My fave Mac role would have to be the one in "Saved!". He was just so good in that role.
My favourite Christmas movies, absolutely loved this 🎄
Home alone a classic. I loved it and now my 2 young children watch it and love it. And it's great too see him so healthy after all his issues years ago.
Amazing watch these films about 20 times a year! ❤
The photo of them hugging then and now just go to show you how much Catherine meant in his life, thank you for a magical reunion on the walk of fame of all the fans of home alone, I'm proud of catherine, and McCauley for the years of entertaining us with home alone, even though this is only 4 minutes long when they hugged and she almost cried, I'm pretty sure we all felt the emotion's as they are two amazing people with one coming so far in his life
I'm not crying, you are!
im soo glad they have stayed in each others lives! God is so good! Please continue blessing Macaulay and his family as well as Catherines. Amen!
Is that the same god that made his parents be evil to him and the reason they are not there? Stop talking wet
Two legends.
Love you Macaulay!!!
HAPPY 70TH BIRTHDAY CATHERINE O HARA !!!1
I’m currently watching Home Alone on Freeform and it’s perfect timing !!!
I loved her as the drunk mom in the movie Orange Country
Epic man right there. congratulations!!
Macaulay Culkin is the best Hollywood Star from two Home Alone movies. I will never forget him and I have so much respect about his successes. So everybody love him.
i am truly so happy for him, to go through that type of human experience with fame and have found his balance and purpose.
I'm about his age, and I remember all of us wanted to be him, I'm so happy and proud for this moment, he is an icon, he deserves it❤his giggle at Catherine at the end, so heartwarming
Congratulations Macaulay Culkin!!! The fam is there again
When i first watched Home Alone back in the day i quickly developed a crush on Catherine O'Hara ❤
I always thought Catherine was 😍❤️
Mac is the man!
We all love Macaulay because he brought heart to his performance and you can’t fake that. It fills my heart with joy to see this for him. The magic of Home Alone’s story is that we all make mistakes, but when it comes to family, you do everything you can to make it right. Especially on Christmas. Happy holidays everyone 🎄🎅🏻
That got me emotional
I like when she walked up he said, "thanks Momma"
She's still bangin
How good to see it so well!
Seeing Home Alone in the theater is one of my earliest movie memories. I was 5 when it came out. I have seen how much the world has changed since it's debut. 33 years doesn't feel like such a long time ago in some ways, but in other ways it feels like a lifetime ago. It's really great to see Macaulay getting the recognition he deserves and that he seems to be enjoying a good life. The first 2 Home Alone movies are bonafide classics, and I am so glad I have them both on Blu Ray to enjoy forever. They have to be included in anyone's list of favorite Christmas movies.
Watched hime alone 1 and 2 yesterday. We do every year. It feels like Christmas 🎄
This is so so so deserving! I am 34 and Christmas is not Christmas without Home Alone! I am the biggest fan from Portugal!
Really such a genuine, well-articulated speech from Catherine. So beautiful.
catherine her voice doesn’t change at all🥺
Ha.. Macaulay's Looking Gorgeous With This Beard And Those Sunglases & Catherine Stills Looking Beautiful 🌟👏💕
He should have got the star 20-30 years ago, but better late than never. 😁👍🏻
Got to say, Catherine absolutely nailed that speech, didn’t even look like she was reading off anything she wrote, I couldn’t do that, I’d be all over the place, forgetting everything 😂
There should be a home alone sequel called “Home Alone: The Road to Forgiveness”
What can the Road of Forgiveness be about?
Beautiful moments❤
