- Carriers are one of the coolest Capital Ship classes to play. However after many nerfs over the years, increasing hull costs and neutering of ratting, they have fallen into disrepair.
Outside blob warfare they are rarely used. I decided to find a way to breath new life into them.
This is a short compilation of the fights I managed to bait out. I hope you enjoy!

I am in love, Chimera was my first ever carrier, literally 2 days after the carrier / citadel changes and I really miss using it in PVP. Used to drop it around Provi breaking up gate camps without a care in the world, granted they were stupidly OP then. It's really refreshing to see someone go against the usual game play and PVP this way. Really hope to see more!
Mmmm indeed, i just love it because it reminds me of The Expanse. Unfortunately carriers need a bit of love to be worth their 3b and rising hull price.
Especially the Chimera and Archon with it's lower damage, no light fighter boost, almost useless support fighter bonus AND smaller fighter hanger.
I'm hoping CCP gives carriers a support buff of some kind to encourage small gang stuff but not buff blobs.

i used to fly supers fax and carriers alot loved it, remember 1 time i was ratting in homespace when there was a war on. got tired of the max hurf get all hyped to be shot down cause enemy didnt form shit. and i got my hel dropped on by 12 dreads, still managed to take one down and get another in half hull. had more fun losing a 27 bil isk hel then i did forming and not undocking the entire war lol good video keep em coming

Jokes, but seriously the controls are clunky in Eve fashion.
I'd recommend yeeting haw dreads first as they are easier to control. Then with carriers you MUST have everything you can keybound. I had all my mouse buttons in use + keyboard controls to select fighter tubes, deselect, recall, launch etc.
Then do some ratting/sisi for practice on being fast at blowing targets up/managing fighters.

Not currently as I'm doing a few projects in HS first.
Been thinking of trying the rorqual next.
As for getting good, practice with haw dreads first as they are much easier to learn. Find a good and supportive corp and don't be afraid of using sisi to practice.

Check out war eagle fleet. They are really cool bunch. They honestly don't care if you feed trying to do PvP. They also are the ones who joined me in last part of the clip to spring the trap on rote, horde and snuffed.
The rest had just been me yeeting a carrier with no real plan.
They also have a weekly drunk fleet where you just go on a roam with whatever, caps included. Probably will die but fun.
Else I used to just gate a revelation around horde space chasing after small gangs.

There is nothing skillful about flying a capital. The only skill is in his fit, and maybe his ability to bait out a fight.
