Dolly Mixture Live at the Great Northern Pub, Cambridge 9th June 1981

It was a long time ago. I was living in a B+B round the corner from The Great Northern with a heroin addict for company... I recently found this cassette in the attic. I remember recording it on a BASF mono machine hidden under a coat. The quality kept me from posting it till now but reaction to Mike Appelstein's Bridgehouse cassette reminded me of how missed they are and how regarded by so many. I've tried to scrape a bit more vocal out of it with EQ but it is what it is. So 'hello world'. Another absolute one-off rarity dropped on an unsuspecting world. Lincoln

Thanks for the post. Been a fan of the dollies since the 80's. Northern university collage radio (wnur) had a copy of the Demonstration Tapes. Made a cassette and played the * outta it.

I was at this gig, and also taped it (in stereo.) I recall my tape being maybe a tad clearer, but it is lost forever due to a sudden move out of Cambridge in the early nineties… :( If possible I would love to have a lossless copy of this recording. How donI contact you?
