Nothing makes me happier than seeing our younger generations appreciating good music and doing it justice. As a 40 yr old music lover I would pay to see you guys before I'd take a free concert to half the so called "artists" out there today. You guys are awesome and this video made my day a little better.........rock on!!!!!!!!!!!
When wife and I met, she never listened to Rock or Classic rock. She grew to love it as much as me. We make several concerts a year. Styx and Lynyrd Skynyrd are her favorite
@@gonzovlogs2505 Keep playing those drums, though. I started on drums and made a living doing it for several years before switching to a couple of full-time gigs on the guitar, as well. I still love doing BOTH, equally. :)
As a fan of Head East and this song and an old fart lol You guys were great.I know this was 5 years ago but I hope all members are still playing!!!! WELL DONE!
Tgis is awesome guys! Just popped up in my thumbnail and I'm always a glutton for a little Head East! That guitar player playing lead on the keyboard parts is spot on and sounds great! She's talented as all heck. Great cover young guns! So happy to see this that the younger generation understands how great these songs are! Thank you Collision Course
One of my favorite songs and also one of the top 2 covers of this song I've heard. Probably the best cover without a keyboard. The bass player was spot on also. Could've used more cowbell but I still rate it a+!!! Great job overall.
The band looks to be 10 or 13 if they play this good now soon be covered by someone on CZcams this is one damn good cover. My favorite is the drummer. The cowbell and drum rythym is right on cue.
Does my heart some good to check these kids out. There are an awful lot of comments on CZcams by kids denouncing today's music. Here are a few trying to keep the good stuff alive. Good going guys.
This was fun. Pulled it off without a synthesizer too! Very impressive. Each had their own look and personality. Low slung bass player and everyone talented. That guitarist could really play and sing. Dude singing talented!
Fantastic job done by these young musicians. I've seen Head East back in the day when they played small night clubs and when there was the Iowa Jam. The vocals were split and had the cowbell, but didn't know how it would work without a keyboard, but the gal pulled it off!
My band played this when it was new, pretty sure it wasn't close to being this good. Jeez, I sure hope they're still doing music. The young lady on guitar is a natural, a pro in the making
My crew was chillin right here, watching this vid and we were all saying “bro needs more cow bell”.....then sure as shit drummer starts pounding that cow bell like a Schmidt’s beer! Oh hell yeah!!!!
I MOVED FROM COLORADO SPRINGS TO A TOWN IN NORTHWESTERN IOWA AND SAW UEAD EAST AND "VIXEN", ANOTHER BAND CIRCA 1972-78, AS OFTEN AS POSSIBLE. I AM A RETIRED LOCATION SOUND BOOM OPERATOR NOW. AFTER SEEING HOW WELL THE ADULTS OF NOW CAN ROCK, I WILL NEVER WORRY ABOUT ANYTHING AGAIN. THANK YOU.
Are you kidding me thought just another cover, oh how wrong I was these kids have it. Keep on this course, I managed several local bands you keep on you will draw a crowd and a following
I'm a Head East Fan and started listening to them when they 1st "broke out big" in 1975. I bought "Flat as a Pancake" as soon as it was re-released on 8-track and My Wife and Sons will tell you that everytime "Never been Any Reason" comes on the Radio, I'll tell them "That's the BEST Dang Song in the Whole Dang World!", LOL! I love everything about the song, not to mention most of their others (my next favorite is "Gettin' Lucky). So hearing these Young People cover "Never Been Any Reason" WITHOUT a Synthesizer pretty much blew me away. I've found other videos out on the Drummer and he is fairly well known but I can't find anything on the Young Lady, not even her name. I'd love to see what she's been doing lately (I hope she'd still Playing, as it'd be a shame to waste that much Talent).
I was surfing some old favorite tunes this evening and stumbled upon this gem... So glad I clicked on this video instead of the usual CD rip with cover art from the album. I was curious to see what another band might do with this song, and you guys delivered the goods. Thanks. Keep on rockin!
As a veteran Boston Sound Engineer and Audio Tech with over 45 years working with bands from Aerosmith to The Zulus, all I can say is.... FUCKING GREAT! This performance restores my faith in today's youth! Thank you kids; you made my year.
I just realized this clip is now 6 years old. And six years time is like more than a decade for kids that age. Anyone know where any of these kids are now and if any of them are still involved with music? They were pretty damned talented for their time. Thanks again kids!
@@jackdonahue6588 If you click on the channel, my father recorded us through the years. I stopped playing drums around the time of the last video he posted and started playing guitar.
Made me cry !!!
Unreal to see kids kick the sh!t out that song that’s btw one of my all time favorites. I’m 64 and still a rocker !
Roger-Out
I'm a welder named Richie as well. And this had exactly the same effect on my 61 yr. old self.
The music of my youth!! 🤘
She is amazing! Covering all of those keyboard parts on the guitar and making it sound right! Great job by all!
The original Head East version would have sounded MUCH better if the keyboard parts had been guitar instead. ;)
the girl......... awesome artist. you can tell she loves playing, and shes damn good at it.
I agree but I give kudos to the drummer I drum
Yup!
Chick on guitar is badass
