Jin in Bts asked Chris martin to help him write a goodbye song to Armys, beacuse Jin had to enlist so Jin ad Coödplay wrote the Astronaut, and Jin flew for over 2 days to Coldplay concert in Argentina just to do this song live for Armys, now all members have enlisted

When Chris flew to SK for this it was during the pandemic. Upon arrival in SK Chris had to spend 14 days in a hotel quarantine alone before he could even meet with BTS. It was a big sacrifice for him. I see Chris (and the other CP members) share the same values which I believe is why they are drawn to one another. They share a special relationship that I think goes beyond music.
He possibly wasn't there 14 days because when he traveled there was already in place in South Korea an special protocol for people from fully vaccinated people from approved countries. He would have to spend a day or two of quarantine, and then limit his movement to one location (in his case, he probably had to sleep at HYBE given it seems it took more than one day to record the song, unless his quarantine room was still available)
06:15 same attracts same. Coldplay and Chris are so similar to BTS in their overall humility and down to earthness. They became such good friends, Coldplay made song for Jin, Suga visited Chris when he was on vacation, and any their i teration together brings joy to both fandoms. Armys are so happy bts has this example how group can be healthily together for 20 years and happy they have such good friends just on personal level. Also armys and coldplayers have amazing relationship as fandoms. Best so far. It is also so endearing how Chris mentions bts on his concerts as his brothers when they perform my universe
Thanks for sharing. There was more to this behind the scenes when it first came out. The boys and Coldplay have a dinner together, and BTS gifts them modern-day hanbok to wear. And Chris gifts his guitar to Jin......which in turn ends up as a prop in Jins MV" Astronaut," along with Chris being the newsman on the tv, too.( more than a year later) All good things come full circle, don't you think? Music ,to me,transcends all language. Thank you for sharing 😊🫶💜
When you decide to react to a song, I think it's always good to react to as many formats as you can find - so an MV, (sometimes, as with ON, there might be 2, which is probably a bit much), A live, a dance practice and "making of" as well as any "explanation of videos if there are any. Of course, if time is an issue that may not be possible, but it would a great package for everyone!
True about the humbleness I think it's one of the main reason BTS and Coldplay get on so well. Coldplay have often spoke out when BTS have been attacked racially. Coldplay members met at University College London end of 1996/early1997 and have been together ever since.
They performed it together at the 2021 American Music Awards. I will say though that the sound at that show wasn't the best, as whenever the crowd cheered so loudly, the music sound seemed to get lower, BUT it shows them all together and that was awesome. Also, Chris came to one of BTS concerts in LA in Nov/Dec 2021 and they did the song together there too, but not with Coldplay's full band at that one. I didn't really know Coldplay before this collaboration. Jin also did a collab song with Coldplay called The Astronaut. He flew 39 hours to get to Argentina just to perform this one song, as it was a gift for ARMY before his enlistment. There is also an MV for The Astronaut. Not sure if you already saw it or not, so if you did, my apologies.
BTS are the Number 1 group and Coldplay are the number 1 group globally on Spotify. Also BTS are in the Top 10 of all Global artist and the only group in the Top 10.
That is Wembley Stadium I was there singing with the rest of ARMY to BTS it was the second night. We suprised BTS singing to them just before their last song. They were chatting to us and then we got our cue on the big screens and we started singing. BTS thought something had gone wrong eg the 'wrong' music had started.

It is still great but not as good as it should be. That's not BTS or Coldplay's fault. The second time was at the Permission to Dance LA Day at SoFi Stadium. It was a great moment! There's an explanation video where he talks about the inspiration for each song and where all the people that featured on his album talk about their collaboration (indigo Film Magazine). People like Erykah Badu and Anderson Paak feature on the album. There's a Tiny Desk concert where he performs 3 songs with a live band, there's a 2 part documentary of 'A day in the life of RM' and there's a concert he did in a small venue for only 200 people (RM live at the Rolling Hall in Seoul), The concert is a masterpiece! It was back to his roots (he was an underground rapper before BTS). People were that close, they could touch him. It was a big contrast with the big arena's he usually plays in with BTS for 50.000 plus people. there's also a behind the scenes of the concert. There's even a vlog he did when he went on a trip to Switzerland to attend an art fair to get inspiration for his album. He's a big art enthusiast. He also loves reading. He has also a big part in writing the lyrics for the BTS's songs. He's a poet, a lyricist first before he's a rapper. In his latest solo album he surprisinfly did a lot of vocals instead of pure rapping. His songs got a more mainstream feeling this way, everyone can like them.
