The Turf Trial You NEED To Know About // Bermudagrass Trials in Australia

- Come for a drive out to The University of Queensland Research Facility in Gatton where I show you the Couch Trial with TurfBreed, Syngenta and ICL.
The trial includes IronCutter Elite Hybrid Bermuda, Tahoma 31, TifTuf Hybrid Bermuda, Santa Ana and Wintergreen.
Half of each plot is cut with a rotary mower at 25+mm and the other half with a Cylinder Mower at 12.5mm. Each plot has three different Nutrition treatments:
1. 100kg/Ha of Elemental N (per year)
2. 200kg/Ha of Elemental N (per year)
3. 300kg/Ha of Elemental N (per year)
Finally, Primo Maxx II Plant Growth Regulator is being applied as well.
I'm hoping to be able to bring you some of the results, as the parameters for data collection are:
* Height
* Colour (NDVA Greenseeker)
* Colour (NDVI Drone)
* Turf Quality
* Thatch

How is Celebration Bermuda called in Australia? Considering it was developed there I'm guessing it's just being called differently because I haven't heard of celebration on any Australian group.
Should trial which one responds best to dog pee
I’d say wear recovery and divot recovery would probably give an indication as to which would repair quickest from urine burn
Is a height prism worth getting for the home lawn for good accuracy in HOC?
They’re super expensive and the only ones that are affordable aren’t heavy enough, so they’re inaccurate which defeats the purpose imo. For a home lawn, you’re probably better off using a metal ruler imo
The two big measurements i would love to hear about is wear tolerance, for home lawns with kids and dogs, and winter colour and that will be interesting coming out of the VIC trial. Also love some honest info on shade tolerance as well. Excellent video again. Your very good at your work.
I believe both shade and wear tolerance are trials they have on the horizon later in the year 👍🏻
