- For those of you who are new to the channel my name is Fen and I am half British and half Libyan and my lovely wife Akasha is American but Czech by blood (hence Culture Clash Reactions).
Although Lee Evans is undoubtably a legend within the UK comedy scene, unfortunately he was never really my cup of tea. I thought I'd give my American wife a taste of his comedy to see what her thoughts were.
He’s been retired for a few years. I miss him.
Honestly comedy is you unless you are not
No where near his best bit of you ask me.
Yeah the reason he sweats so much also is from the heat of all the lights shining on him in the stadium plus running around.
Lee is my favourite comedian.
I love Lee Evans but this was the wrong clip to introduce.
If you want the funny stereotype of a British dead pan comidean, I highly highly recommend Romesh Ranganathan. A modern day Jack Dee but more relatable for the average working class Brit.
Romesh Ranganathan at Apollo. It's just brilliant.
Try his police horses one.
React to the whole Lee Evans the big XL tour , and split it up into different videos
Lee is the best
If you want people who have no animation in their comedy watch Jack Dee be right up your alley.
You should also watch his bohemian raspsody song remake it is quite good
He was in movies, he did mouse trap and he was also in there’s something about Mary
Lee Evans - Top 3 Stand-Up in the UK easy, along with Peter Kay and Jimmy Carr.
Love Lee Evans for a bit of silly comedy.
Freddie Mercury would lose that much sweat ever show.
I've seen him live and he's hard to follow to be honest, he doesn't stop.
That’s a you problem lmao
He is my favourite comedian with peter kay and i am prone to jason manford aswell, on a sidenote lee only stopped because his manager died. ( please lee can we have 1 more show 🙏)
Does that American wife have a sense of humour
Need to react to more of Lee, think the colonoscopy sketch is one of his only boring ones
I know what he means, me and my friends used to watch him when we were younger but not these days, although I did see one of his shows not too long ago and there were a certain few moments where I was creasing over laughing out loud. Most of it now I find a bit too much, like watching someone struggling with ADHD who also happens to weave in some jokes within the 'manic episode'😂
Couldn't agree more about what you said at the beginning. I absolutely loved lee evans and peter key as a teenager but definitely grew out of them.
I only like around 15-20 stand-ups maximum, a lot of them are dead, and none of them are American, as American stand-ups are not funny.
I only like around 100 sitcoms, most of which are long-forgotten (even by me, as I can't remember how good some of them are), and only a few are American (mainly teen sitcoms, from when I was a kid and a teen) as most American sitcoms aren't funny either.
The only time Americans are funny are in feature films, although "film comedians" nowadays are people like Kevin Hart who is not funny in anything he does.
Not as funny as the Billy Connolly one.
