- Today marks the end of the sixth Parliament with just over a week to go until elections. Parliament has passed several key bills, including National Health Insurance. It even saw former speaker Nosiviwe Mapisa-Nqakula resign over corruption allegations. Acting National Assembly Speaker Lechesa Tsenoli reflects on the outgoing parliament's highs and lows.

May the parliament members' souls rest in peace 😢. This was not a good term for this parliament if the public could give the assembly mark I'd give it a 4/10. Very slow in implementing policies, very slow in finalising legislation that the citizens agree with and very quick to implement legislation that only works in their favour. On the 29th of May let's make the strategic moves South Africans all 27 million people must go to the ballot. Make sure your voices are heard.

It's my first time hearing Mr Lechesa Tsenoli speaking sense. He's always come across as dramatic, partisan and biased towards the EYENSI.
