I saw you open in San Francisco a few weeks ago, and this song reached deep and really jarred something loose. Even though it's about romance, it really reminds me of my dad. He couldn't handle his demons, so he passed them to me and went out with a needle. He was a right bastard but I loved him all the same.

Joy is the real deal. Incredible songs. It was an emotional experience for me seeing her perform her intimate songs at Nashville's Bluebird Cafe, last week. Meeting Joy afterward was a special moment. But maybe awkward for her Ha ha...(she knows what I mean) A superb artist, she's going places. She'll be everywhere.

I love all the comments in this video about the absurd amount of amazing that this girls voice is but can we give some cred to the actress in the video too? LIke, this is my go to song for when I need something soulful and sad but the video, i just love it because of the girl. She makes that "running into your ex" funny, relate-able. I mean yeah it gets a little dark at the end there but this is realism folks.
