- purpose of a good opening statement at the CCMA arbitration or disciplinary hearing is to convey a confident impression that you are prepared for your case. An opening statement is a like a roadmap and shows what the key elements of your case are. In this video we discuss our formula for preparing an opening statement that you can use for your unfair dismissal case at the CCMA or during workplace disciplinary inquiries. We also go through a practical example to show you how to prepare your own statement.
