    I have been served with a protection order, this dragged on for 2 years , then on record I asked the judge if I grant her the protection order will this then effect my job, the judge replied no ,then I informed her her that it will effect my fire arm license as it's written in the book I have studied, she once again said on record that it won't have any effect, so on the next court date I decided not to pitch up as this has been time wasting, but SAPS informed me that I have breached section 22

    I was dismissed due to recording a meeting without obtaining permission to where I was a party. I did this to gather evidence as the employer had harassed me in previous meetings to gather evidence to raise a case at the ccma. My employer claimed that the trust relationship is broken and as such that a summary of sanction dismissal will be the effect. Can this argument be challenged at ccma arbitration?

    Hi. Won case at CCMA 17 July, They filed Review application on the 28 August, Security bond paid on the 9 September 2023. Got a call from applicant lawyer on the 03 July 2024 for settlement. Settlement refused by responded. My question is: When is the estimated date for final sitting(court date) to finalise my case.. Thank you in advance...

      Always remember to keep your own record of your tasks and achievements, recordings and screenshots etc so you have your own evidence to prove that their metrics are incorrect

    Yes its on your record, if you need reference later, yes...they can divulge, and you cant use POPIA, they have a duty to be truthful, yes CCMA is public record...

      @MariusJochems advise the DOL to email the employer for the UI19 and salary schedule. Else go to the CCMA before 90days and they can settle it conciliation for you, state as Unfair labor practice

    I work for a company in cape town,and they just changed our shift pattern without our agreement where we are now working 240 hours per month,,we work 4 days 12 hour shifts back 2 back,,it's 2 days from 6-6 and then 2 nights from 6-6 and then 2 days off but it's really one and a half days off coz we are working into our 1st off day,,we are really struggling at work our bodies just can't handle it,,is this even legal?

      My job literally just tried this with me, and I called off before the store even opened for the day. They can't demand a doctors note if you're only missing 1 day regardless of what day it is. I called off today for a sick day, and the company told me I either show up with a doctors note or not all.😂😂😂

      Some companies also want you to call off 2 to 3 hours in advance. If you're me and called off 8 hours before my shift started and still got hit with a sick note. I did my homework and found out by law that it's not required. If you only miss one day, regardless of what your manager says. 😮📝
