It's an amazing skill, Bradford Young I think really pioneered this! I use this technique alot because i like to shoot darker as my style so I typically black out everywhere I can't see in the frame hahah
Here is my constructive input. Needs continuity when he's holding the phone. Better actor would have been nice, with more emotion and eye movement. Color temp and haze changes while camera is on him. Actor has some similarities to Kip from Napoleon Dynamite. Looks nice, I'll give it a 7/10 rating.

What type of tape are you using ? Gaff tape seems to strip paint off walls.
