    Thanks for the video man. I've been using displayfusion for years and still learned new things today like mouse locking and keeping windows focused. Hope to see you upload more again in the future, I just subbed.

    Excellent review and thank you for not having splash screens, music, and telling us to subscribe. But although excellent, there is nothing in the described features that causes me to suppose that I need DisplayFusion. Plus, I am concerned about how much resources does DisplayFusion consume and whether it is glitchy. Because every time that Microsoft releases a critical update, or whatever; DisplayFusion is possibly affected.

    Looks to good to be true... I will have a go, thanks for the info.

  • @twelvewingproductions7508

    Keep up the good work. Looks great so far.
    Quick question. What hardware do you need for running 3+ monitors? It would be great if you could do a video showing your hardware setup and cable routing.

    • @TechDredge
      @TechDredge  Před 7 lety +3

      Depends what you're doing with them. If you're just watching videos/editing/documents/browsing the web/programming etc, you don't need any special hardware, you don't even need a dedicated graphics card. Just 3 video outputs from the motherboard.
      If you're gaming, you need a good video card, but honestly surround gaming isn't that great and is a lot of effort to set up each time you want to play - an Ultrawide monitor will give you a much better experience. Multiple monitors are best for productivity.
      I use older workstation grade hardware, so my hardware isn't relevant anymore, but I will have a few videos next month on some cool things my setup can do.

      Thanks for the quick reply.
      I too am using an older work station in our recording console and yes, we use it for exactly what you describe. Writing copy and then either voice over or video where running copy on a monitor is helpful but currently time consuming to set up.
      I'll have a look to see if I have any slots left to set up a monitor card. That was basically what I wanted to know. If you could do that or if you needed a special video card.
      Thanks again for your help. Looks like a trip to the store today.

      Twelve Wing Productions if you're actually doing video editing work, a higher end graphics card will be necessary, but if it's just playback you should be good with anything.

    • @twelvewingproductions7508
      @twelvewingproductions7508 Před 7 lety

      We do that, but not on the computer we use for audio. We have a dedicated audio deck to do the voice overs so the only thing the video is there for is so that commentary and musical score can be laid down real time.
      All editing and post production are done on one of our "super computers".

    (3 monitor setup)
    is there an option where 3 different programs always open up on a specific monitor instead of each program opening up in the middle and me having to move them into their place every time?

    Hi,
    Thanks a lot. I´m thinking of buying this one. But i´m struggeling with one thing: How can i replace the "windows taskbar" on the main monitor with the fusion taskbar? I´m simply not getting it! :D But it´s an essential feature for my setup.

      I'd check out Helios Display Management. You can save a default config with your monitors separated, and then one when you want them combined. Completely removes the need for Nvidia's horrible surround software.

    I have 3 monitors and nvidia surround enabled. I can not find a way to limit games like pubg or H1Z1 to my middle screen in an easy way. Can you help me with this?

    • @TechDredge
      @TechDredge  Před 7 lety

      Have you tried virtual monitors with DisplayFusion? I used to use it on surround, but can't recall what I used to do for gaming as I was trying to do the opposite - to have the screen treated as 3 separate monitors except when gaming.

    Why are you sweating so much! Turn that AC on!

    • @TechDredge
      @TechDredge  Před 7 lety +3

      Don't have AC in that room unfortunately. And it was I think 45 degrees celcius when I filmed this. Under studio lighting!!

    • @HaydnStealsLight
      @HaydnStealsLight Před 6 lety

      That's why they use special makeup in the film & TV industries? I know what 45C feels like, and to add studio lights on top... omfg - perhaps you can take short cuts and wipe your face down in between or film on a cooler day. Unfortunately it is something people will notice a lot and distracts from the useful info you are sharing. Just some thoughts. What do you think?
      With any luck you will be able to afford to put aircon in there? If you are spending a lot of time in there, it is worth it.

      Pretty sure it does considering that if your teeth are bad looking you most likely wont get a job, for example the air force if you have bad teeth you will not be exepted

      +PowerUptech Well I have a high paying job, so...yay? But no it won't affect your chances of employment practically anywhere. No one in Britain has nice teeth and they have an Air Force!
