Re: Necrobloom
For fluctuator combo, there are 5 lands that you can use. There’s only one dual (Scattered Groves), and Urza’s Saga gave us one in each color and a colorless land.
As someone with two casual EDH decks built around cycling (Roon and Esika), Necrobloom fluctuator combo might be my first cEDH deck if it’s viable

I’ve been looking at satya for a cedh commander I think it has some legs between Kiki lines, breach, displaced kitten, and spellseeker combos. I’m probably wrong but I could see it being decent.
Decoction Module is a 2 drop artifact from kaledesh that gives you an energy when a creature enters the battlefield. Paired with Primal Prayers you can cast creatures cmc 3 or less by spending 1 energy and you can cast those at instant speed
Roil cartographer not making map tokens has to be the biggest flavor fail of the set.

Warren soultrader also goes great in hulk piles with it, zulaport and gravecrawler
With Volatile Drake and Saheeli, the suns brilliance you can copy the drake in responce to the etb trigger. If you target the same creature with both drakes, the original drake's ability fissles, allowing you to keep the drake around to copy on future turns, stealing a creature each turn in return for a token that dies at end of turn
As far as I recall, rulings state that the opponent won't have to sacrifice the token. Saheeli instructs you, the controller as of now, to sacrifice the token. Once they get the token, the instructions don't suddenly change. You are not allowed to sacrifice a token you don't control. See section 791.17a of comprehensive rules for a relevant ruling.
Nadu, obviously strong, but is it not just (ha!, "just") Simic Magda, in that it only works when Nadu is in play? The deck is random piles with little inherent value until you control Nadu. There's a *lot* of chaff in the early builds.
The deck is certainly overhyped. It’s a non-deterministic and commander reliant turbo deck. People are just goldfishing it and seeing these crazy t2-3 wins that would instantly lose to any interaction.
@@wizardsmix7961If Nadu isn’t countered you pretty much get 2 cards out of it guaranteed - one for the first target, and one when your opponent goes to kill it. That’s a massive difference compared to other commander-reliant decks

Sooo for becrobloom, gitrog loop is not 4 horseman because you get extra draw triggers, how is fluctuator not 4 horsemen?
Worth noting for Warren Soultrader that all three creature types on it have tutors. The zombie one is the worst but you could play Goblin Matron or Step Through with this to assemble some creature based combos. Gets better when green is in the mix though and you don't have to worry about awkward tutors
I really want to test Six and Fanatic of Rhonas in Etali.
Does Harbinger of the Sea make High Tide viable again?
In Nadu "Aphetto Alchemist" and "Seeker of Skybreak" are sick value engines since you can untapp themself AND trigger Nadu 2x in each opponents turn.
sea kings blessing, sylvan paradise and sway of illusions are 3 instants to target ALL your creatures to get a lot of Nadu triggers too
Aphetto and Seeker produce 9 cards per turn cycle because you can target Nadu the final turn.
Not to mention some agathas soul cauldron shenanigans
Ocelot Pride could also be nice in najeela to make her army snowball even faster
Armed raptor doesn't work with cedh cascade because the raptor tries to cast the next nonland exiled, not "exile until you hit a card you could cast"

Nadu is cool. I think it’ll eventually settle on a safer midrange plan, but only after the dust settles from the tubro bird phase. Almost like Tivit.

For the rules folks: how does Ocelot Pride work with Rionya tokens? My guess is that you copy them, keep the copies, then exile the original tokens.
"You control" on the endstep trigger, so if you do not currently have those tokens they are not duplicated. Same sadness for something like Delney + Blade of Selves, or that would be a 3 combat kill combo.
To clarify, this works with Rionya/twinflame just fine the way you said, you just have to order the triggers to get rid of the tokens after you have resolved Ocelot's trigger, I was thinking of Myriad/Delina not Rionya.
@@xxfenix15xx Let me expose myself as a fool here, but on Rionya, the exile triggers at the beginning of the end step, same as Ocelot. Can you not stack those to resolve Ocelot first and then Rionya?
@@SenorCoupon Exactly correct! The exile/sacrifice trigger on those copy effects is not something that you will copy when you create that new token, meaning you get a nice new token that can stay around forever.

As a dargonaut im not aware of anyone in our little corner of the brewscape thats really excited for the soultrader. It looks like it'd be great but busting it open in dargo means playing some unwieldy lines with cards we really dont want in any other context.
Six being a 6 mana 6/6 would have been so on par with his name. tho the effect would be way weaker for the mana cost
Cascade doesn't work with amped raptor because casting off cascade is not from your hand
and also seems like they like many other people doesn't understan well how the effect works, it will exile until you reveal the first nonland and could be anything including one of your cascading spells and if you don't have enough energy you simply can't cast the spell and this card won't do anything. Seems like many people read it as if you could exile until you hit something you could or want to cast.

I feel like Nadu gets hit by soo much hate, especially since alot of its cards that you wanna play for your commander dont synergize amazingly with your other cards, but also just arent too independently powerful.
But, to be fair outside of generic answers (counters/removal) hating nadu isnt done via etb hate or shtuff like that, so alot of the hate required for Nadu isnt as popular and also most of the stuff thats a lil more generic causes nadu to trigger.
Maybe its worth it, but I feel like its overhyped (but im also a scrub and it aint my kinda thing).

fwiw, Ashling, Flame Dancer has been utterly BERSERK for Krark Sakashima so far-and Krark Silas players are also reporting great experiences.

Still have no idea why this dude ever thought energy would be “pushed over the edge”. There was literally no indicator that would be the case.
They would’ve needed a couple dozen energy cards printed at cEDH power level for there to be any consistency in using them.
Currently testing Warren Soultrader in a budget Grenzo, Dungeon Warden Doomsday/Goblin tribal deck. Absolutely disgusting, especially with Goblin tokens 10/10
