This story is so very well written and the narrator did an outstanding job! I don't think I've ever listened to a story twice but I had to listen to this one again. And just like when you watch a movie for a 2nd time, I heard things I hadn't noticed the first time I listened to it. I can really relate to this story bcuz I too was bullied non-stop all thru school. And I have to admit the parts where Spacegirl's tormentors got what they deserved made me smile. LOL. The writer really made the characters relatable and created a story that the reader or rather listener could actually envision in their mind everything that went on. When a writer is able to do that it makes the story that much more enjoyable and intense. I give the story and the narrator 10 bloody skulls! 🤘🏽🖤🤘🏽
I produced the story here, and spent hours editing it... and I STILL find new hints every time I listen. Realizing there's more of a backstory there regarding why Spacegirl's father isn't in the picture anymore (no pun intended? Haha) was a hell of an epiphany.
Love stories of people getting what they deserve
I went to school with 3 guys like the bullies in this one. Not so much the violence but the words bring back memories. All because I had a friend who was different. However that was 30 years ago so it doesn't hurt anymore. But their's not much more I despise than a bully and bullying.
This narration was amazing! 👏👏👏👏 The author really described the feelings well and she (the narrator) conveyed them perfectly!
This was a beautiful story. I felt very sympathetic for Spacegirl, enjoyed Jane's redemption arc, and I'm always a sucker for a happy ending. Ryan and Danielle both knocked it out of the park on this one.

Danielle rocks... as soon as I realized this story was about bullying I had to stop what I was doing and listen to it because it got me fired up. Her delivery of the story especially the outcome was very satisfying.

Damn the story made me wonder. What did Spacegirl’s dad do to make him get trapped in the painting? I can’t tell what’s worse though. Being trapped in an empty canvas forever or being trapped in a canvas where anything in there can hurt you.
I would assume sexual abuse. That bit about 'only your father has been there' was disturbingly telling.

The writer did another story with Jane and Spacegirl called 'Love Letters to Spacegirl' which is about the aftermath of Jane getting mugged but I'm not sure it's as good.
Loved it.
It deserves to be turned into a movie.

I remember reading this story on r/nosleep during spooktober, it's a good one.
I know it's two years too late but this girl kicks ass. Every single one she does I'm teary eyed in the end on the edge of my seat the whole time

THIS is how a love story should go! This is in my top favorites. Wonderful on all accounts.
Wonderful reader and also an amazing story.
This hit me a bit in the feels. I was super shy in school, wouldn't talk and drew horses all day, was the best artist in my class, got made fun off, got hit and had things thrown at me, had my art work sabotaged and got called a dyke too.
I didn't have a unicorn, but here is how much things changed:
As soon as we graduated I moved to America(I'm from Europe), I now have a loving husband, a big house and am the first girl in 60 years to do the job I'm doing, in the metal shop I'm working in now and before this whole virus thing happened, I was about to be promoted to boss and none of they guys had an issue with me telling them what to do, because they like and respect me.
The last thing I've heard of my 2 worst tormentors, was that the leader of the 2 went to jail a few years after high school, trying to smuggle drugs from somewhere in the middle East back to Germany. That's a very long prison sentence. My other tormentor, the underling, got pregnant right before graduation, from her abusive boyfriend, who she is now married to and had 3 more kids with. No job, no life outside of her home. That was the last thing I've heard from them, but it's been a couple decades ago.
The reason why I'm writing all this down, is that if any of you younger people listen to this and think 'oh this sounds so much like me, but I don't have a unicorn to save me', I can tell you that things don't stay the same. Try to hang in there, things that happened in school mean nothing later on and you come out a totally different person once you do a bit of growing up. Just do your best and usually the 'nasty' people, do get what they deserve and maybe they learn their lesson from it. What you send out returns to you. Just try hard, don't let them get to you and be good and forgiving, people will see that and will be good to you in return and it'll help you build your confidence and make you strong.
Ok, that's all I wanted to say. Sorry for the looooong message, the story just got to me.

This was an amazing story and flawless narration I couldn't put it down for the life of me being an outcast myself back then this bright a wave of nostalgia back the good and the bad and put me there as I was listening to this unfold. Incredible 3 ½ thumbs up 👍

Beautifully done it didn't need the end but the end made it just that much more wholesome I believe is the word I'm looking for, I rarely ever comment but when I get home from work and sit in my car for 10 minutes just to finish a story it deserves to be complemented

As a special ed teacher I have seen plenty of bullying. Kids can really be mean at times and don't think of the consequences of their actions. I love to see karma in action. Good story and narration.

That ending was bone chilling for sure. I find it interesting how Danielle pronounces "drawing". It sounds British, yet it seems that she grew up in Massachusetts. Nice VO work.
Hahah, so, I had no idea I say drawing incorrectly. Someone brought it to my attention like last week haha I always thought that's how everyone said it. You're 100% right I'm a masshole. :)
@@dee7470, it's alright. Various regions pronounce common words differently; "drawing" is no exception. I've learned that route can sound like "root", and root can sound like "rut" and so on. I'm a Michiganian, and how I pronounce certain words may sound odd to you. Basically, how you say words shouldn't hinder your chances in this competition.

A most satisfying ending!
The main character Abigail in the stories you've guys done for me is totally Anti-bully. Even though she's never been bullied her humanity (kinda, lol) knows that it's wrong. Which is the irony in the tales. They get their comeuppance.

I've been drawing too. Love it. And i loved the narration.
This story reminds me of the hateful little garbage human maggots that tormented my daughter all thru school. Nothing wrong her, besides being different and loving anime. All bullies deserve the worst in life, be they internet trolls or school bullies or jerks at the workplace. Truth is, they're all jealous, talentless, unloved little lepers who hate anything truly beautiful or unique. And repeatedly calling someone a "retard? Yeah, the ones saying that are usually so stupid they couldn't add 1+1 and get the correct answer.
Also, as for the narrator... I usually avoid female narrators, as I prefer male voices in general. But this one held my attention from start to finish. She's got my upvote. Great work.
