  • The menswear brand Bryceland's has gained a reputation for real, quality workwear alongside its classic tailoring. As it opens its first store in the UK, founder Ethan Newton talks to journalist Simon Crompton about how the shop has evolved, how his own style has changed, and what he wears on a first date.
The products on display are from Bryceland's, accessible at BrycelandsCo.com and in the Tokyo and Hong Kong stores. Simon's writing, and other interviews, can be found on PermanentStyle.com. The talk was held at Mortimer House, the members club Simon has used as his office and refuge for the past five years.
Simon is wearing a bespoke suit from Sartoria Vestrucci in Florence, in charcoal flannel.

Hi Simon! I would love to hear one of these talks with Adam Rogers of Adret as he has a very interesting perspective on menswear and what constitutes being stylish. Would really appreciate any content I can find on Adret as they don't really have a website and only post occasionally on their social media

Thanks Enoch. Yes, Adam doesn't like to put out much, it's on purpose. I can certainly ask but I'm not sure he would want to

It's VBC flannel, though to be honest these days I would probably use Fox - I prefer something denser, not as light
