Great video! It is a pleasure listening to two experts in the world or men's wear and tailoring. I know that Simon visits Japan and Hong Kong quite often... I would like to see your coverage of Japanese men's wear also... I think that thier pursuit for perfection does not diminish the thoughtfulness and wearability of the items. But I invite you to find out for yourself and share your discoveries with us here. Cheers.
I think this video format is great for you; please don't take it the wrong way, but in other videos you're, in my opinion, a bit too talkative, not leaving much room to your guest (which is why I watch your content less and less). Here, it feels like you let the guest express himself more, and it's imo a nicer watch.

Mr. Kirby Allison, I love your videos and always follow them. I have a couple of questions: 1) Do you think Hatch grain shoes will only look good with casual clothing? I am basically never on a suit but always with dress slacks and sports jacket and will like to know your suggestion if a shoe like this will look good in clothes like this. 2) The only Hatch grain shoes I've been able to find in a MTO program is G&G and I will like your comments if I should go with them or should I look into other brands? Thanks

Well perfect is not perfect.
The point can realy not be to show of your welt but to show of that you buy quality because you take good care of your stuff and use it for the rest of your life, because you know what you want and why you want it.
The kind of rockstare attityde when they spend $100.000 on clodes is kind of sad, or they buy a watch for $10.000 with a standard movement.
I'm not saying that it is ever easy because our taste evolve over time.
But we all seam to be kind of ashamed of what we liked a long time ago, but love the simple stuff that we took well care of.
Someone said you remember quality longer then the prize.
To have a dossen very versetile items of good quality that you take well care of should actually be the normal.
Simon has CLEARLY shined a lot of shoes all these years....🙄
