Unlike the first couple of days, the weather on Day 3 was absolutely perfect, as we ascended and descended Elk pass and had a beautiful, long ride through the Elk River valley to Elkford, where we camped in the cyclist tenting area of the municipal campground.
For your first CZcams cycle vlog … absolutely excellent. Great production and interesting. Good job buddy.

What tent are you and your buddy using, and how much does it weigh?
I used (and still use) the MSR Hubba Hubba NX2. it's about 1.75kg...a tad heavy for those who like to travel ultra light, but for me I like the extra room...especially if I'm nailed down with rain for an entire day. I ordered the dark green fly from the UK because I like the stealthiness of it (NA versions of that tent came with a light grey fly...may as well set up neon lights pointing the way to the tent, LOL) ...and MSR would not sell me one here in NA...very strange marketing restriction. No leaking issues. Hope this helps! Cheers!

Hey David, thanks for the compliment!! This is my first venture into vlogging my entire ride!! I did do video on my 2015 ride around Iceland as well, but it was strictly POV and no commentary…and the dates were wiped out due to a software malfunction on the cheapo action camera I used at the time. Perhaps that footage may make it up to YT eventually!

Actually I recorded most in 1080 and 4k, but the rendering and upload times were taking a long time. Found that they seem to look ok…are you noticing a quality issue?
@@reinhartbigl367 yeah i notice big different even on a iPad .. plus CZcams wont push any video under 1080p they really want videos 4k then they push them

Hmmm…didn’t think the quality was that compromised…will endeavour to render all in the highest resolution possible going forward and repost what’s there.
@@Bikepacking iMovie, with some additional sound adjustments in Insta360 Studio.
