@@bernadettec6386 In july 2022 I went to sleep at the Rainetto bivouac (3000 mt) and the following day went to the summit called Petit Mont Blanc (3424 mt). When I go to these places I know what I will find and I am prepared. On every aspect: you will sleep with your cloths on and you can't wash after 5 hours of hike, there will not be restroom so you must arrange, will be cold, very cold so you will eat, sleep, poop wearing your down jacket, wool cap, neck gaiter and gloves. The pack weight like a boulder. And when I am back I need a shower. So, why? Because I go to the magic. In magic places, with magic peoples to have magic conversations and making magic things, to see magic landscapes, magic sunsets and sunrises, I shoot magic pictures, I became magic because I go beyond my limit and if I am alone my perceptions are x2. These things are to go beyond our everyday life. Because out there, there is a lot more. But only for people available to pay the price.

I had been many times, but every time is magic. Soon I hope to go to sleep there.
Ok to eat but what about washing up and the loo. Edited to say it must be pretty precarious out there in the middle of the night.
