- As you may have heard, the first night of Disney's Jollywood Nights at Hollywood Studios was a little rough. But we have good news! Things are a lot better now and we followed up on the second night to see how things were improved. In today's video, we'll show you that first night, along with some updates from the future that will help you have a great night at the newest Christmas party at Walt Disney World.

I was at this party last night.
I have no experience with disney world, no expectations. So this was worth it to me purely for the no lines for the rides like tower of terror and rockin' rollercoaster.

I really appreciate that you did the party twice before posting this video. I just KNEW the 1st night would have some kinks to work out. I took a lot of the first impressions and negative reviews with a grain of salt. I also think everyone was expecting MVMCP 2.0 when, in reality, this is something totally new and different. I hope this event comes back next year. I'm thinking of adding a little bonus trip next year just to do this and MVMCP 😊

It seems like the Brown Derby isn't worth the trouble. BTW, your holiday clothing is very sharp!
I have heard nothing but bad things about Jollywood Nights 😬 It’s good to see a video framing things as more of a ‘Here’s what not to do’ rather than just relentlessly ragging on the event, although I personally would not pay money to attend even with your tips!
Hello! Things improved a LOT after that first night. It was a bit of a fiasco, but I think it would be an enjoyable night with the changes Disney made. If the shows look fun to you, I would say it is worth considering in spite of the negative reviews (and I would NOT have said that after the first night). Could not have agreed more! We did it the first night, and our biggest complaint was just the lines. We really hope Disney will improve the event…even for next year!
I truly appreciate you adding in 2nd night advice. I think the 1st wasn’t as planned but being able to see how the 2nd night went makes me feel much better.
I’m glad I went back, too. They made some huge improvements. I feel like it can be worth it as long as you focus on the things that are most exciting to you and don’t try to tackle as much as we all did that first night. 😅

I really love your videos it makes you live from afar the magic of disney and honestly you do give a lot of advice in a lot of things that I was unaware of and even though I have never been to disney florida (in fact my first time is going to be during Christmas season but in anaheim) I would love to hear your thoughts so I wont be a chaos and actually enjoy both parks

My wife saw you this past Wednesday morning at the Guest Experience booth near Test Track! She overheard you say some very kind words to the cast members. So nice to realize (of course) that you are positive and kind both on screen and off! It worked out okay though because we were still able to get all the information about the major changes and it seemed things were going way more smoothly on night two. Great video!!! I had a ticket for Dec 4th but even with the few character additions i decided to swap it for an after hours at Mk for my February visit instead.

Oof… that first night seemed rough and I feel for people who only got to experience that. I’m glad you were able to go back the following week and show everyone that things had improved. Rob, that was the jollywood Christmas party review I’ll recommend to anyone going to jollywood nights. Such balanced and informative coverage! My question was did you suspect there might be multiple first night glitches and get tickets for both first and second parties in advance? I believe both of the events sold out early though maybe second became available again after first party bad reviews led to ticket return? Thanks again for your great planning and feedback. We went to the Epcot after hours event this summer after the mediocre ( but not as bad a jollywood) reviews . We enjoyed that event cause we knew what to expect (except for no transportation after closing if you left from the world showcase exit). This Christmas review should help people plan what’s right for them.

That’s why I wasn’t able to get footage of the new meet and greets or the parties that we missed. Quick question on park hopping (sorry if you have read this elsewhere)
Which would you do for park hopping and why?
Should we start at AK then go to HS, having used genie plus to stack rides for HS and rope dropping Flight of Passage and Navi? Or just genie plus starting at AK and keep playing those slots when we get to HS?
Or should we start at HS then go to AK then hop back over to HS for Fantasmic using genie plus for everything including rope dropping Rise?

Hello! While there are some advantages to all of these, I would suggest this: book Navi at 7am. Ride that before HS opens and then book your first HS ride (ideally Slinky Dog if it is on your to-do list). If you are able to get in FOP with a short wait, great, but if it is already over an hour when you get there, do Dinoland and Asia before they get crowded. Two hours after HS opens, you should be good to book another ride. I’d suggest grabbing Safaris if you can grab a relatively quick return. As soon as you tap in there, keep booking for HS. Try to get Slinky, Coaster and Smugglers Run booked before you hop. If one of those is not on your list, consider Runaway Railway or Tower of Terror in its place. Keep in mind that if you don’t have luck getting a short wait in the morning for Flight, you’ll need to budget time for that line, but the time you save by hitting everything else as a walk on or with a LL should more than make up for it. Hope you have a great time!
I think because we d mainly being going for rides not shows we ll pass this year. Although character meets the 2nd night looked amazing
Hello! I would say it is hard to justify the cost if you just wanted to do the rides - it is one of the most expensive after hours events at WDW, especially when you compare with getting in at 4pm for the MK parties. Thanks for watching, though! 😃

Any advice for someone who’s going to Disney world for the first time next year? I’ve been to Disneyland Paris loads but never Florida and I’m so excited to finally get there after 28 years!xx
Hello! We loved Disneyland Paris so much. Disney World is a LOT different. Mainly because it is so much larger. It is twice the size of the island of Manhattan. 🤯 If it’s your first visit, I highly recommend staying at a Disney hotel if you can - mainly because the transportation will simplify things for you. Plus it is fun to stay inside the so-called “Disney Bubble.” Hope you have an amazing trip! 😃

Rob you can try and spin this all you want but for $179 the opening was a flop. Some of the shows were good but the lines were disorganized and insanely long. Everything pertinent to the event was an insanely long wait. You could have wasted one hour on line and the event was only 4 hours. Bam was just a free show they had from years ago and dusted off. Food and snacks like Gertie were way over priced for what you were getting. The Brown Derby was a disgrace…no decorations…just about the same food as always…disorganized long wait to get in and a long wait to eat. This certainly wasn’t how it was portrayed initially by Disney. Hopefully they will get their act together for future events.
