Giving the Chiefs a week 6 bye, KNOWING theyve played more games than any other team the last few years, and then knowing theyre almost certainly going deep in the playoffs again-- and THEN having them play 3 games in 10 days, IN DECEMBER-- is an intentional shot at the Chiefs. The NFL does NOT want them to win a third superbowl this year.
Yeah bt what they DON'T KNOW... is what we've acquired is SERIOUS... underrated weapons in the UDFA that's gonna throw em for a loop... if they thought that Worthy was the only certified weapon... welp, they're in for a surprise at how deep we've become!!! The League won't know what hit em 🤷♂️
Well win your first 12 games then start resting players. Problem solved.
@@natureredux1957 yea! 🤷 No big deal right? That's only happened like a handful of times in the history of the league 🤷 so just do that then. Simple.
And nobody feels sorry for them lmao 🤣
@@BBM716 Only the opposition
No team should ever play 3 times in 10 days. Blatant disadvantage. Hope Reid can afford to rest the starters on one of those games and stick it to the nfl
Whoever doing the chiefs schedule needs to be fired honestly unsafe and no rest wtf
Roger Goodell is doing everything he can to make sure KC does not repeat. Three games in 10 days towards end of season is ridiculous
The amount of games this season that will be ruined by hip drop tackle penalties will be hilarious.
Calling it now the Chiefs will win the AFC championship game due to a hip drop tackle.
@@nje32 it’s not just the chiefs. This rule is going to ruin many games. More eyes on the nfl than ever but the product is worse than ever. Sad
Chiefs draft last and get a lousy schedule. NFL trying to block them. I hope they go undefeated.
Tell me again how the NFL cae so much about player safety
Nantz is a legend
3 games in 10 days? Does the NFL ever regulate itself? So this is the punishment to the late Lamar Hunt for starting the AFL - which made the NFL the entertainment draw it is today..?
A game on every game of the week except Tuesday is insane.
As a chiefs fan I’m happy the last half is easy and we beat the teams in post season that we play first at home this time
The number of short weeks in the last 6-8 weeks is absolutely ridiculous. A 4, 5, and 6 day short week? That's absurd.
Just have it wrapped up by week 17 and rest the boys.
Has an NFL team EVER been scheduled to play 3 games in 10 days with the last one on a Wednesday (Christmas)?
Four teams have that burden this season
They’re going to beat all 3 teams by double digits and Patrick won’t even be in the 4th Quarter.
Then they have 11-12 days off. And they’ll blowout DEN too.
It don’t be an issue AT ALL.
I wish I got that many days off. And only Doyle’s half a year.
is it just me, or is Rich's Bra showing through his shirt :) 02:09
I jest, but it did catch my eye :)
With a hopefully improved offense, If I were the Chiefs this season I'd run up the score as much as possible just for the ability to pull starters out.
Having their bye week in Week 6 is wild to me. The Chiefs are probably going to win at least 12 games, and there's probably going to be at least two they lose that they have no business losing. It happens every year, the media will panic and declare the Chiefs dead, but the Chiefs will still be fine. I just have this sneaking suspicion they'll find a way to lose the Carolina game, I don't know why.
Maybe bc they've done it before.. like last year against the sorry Broncos 😂😂😂 🤷♂️
Every game last year that the Chiefs lost was to teams who had more rest. Three of those teams were coming off a bye week. The other three had 2 or 3 extra days to recovery and watch film. My hope is that the Chiefs lock the down the #1 seed by week 17. They could then play the bench on Christmas day and the last game of the season.
Flex Houston to Sunday and Pittsburgh to Monday??
Wow.thats like 3 months of playoffs.i guess they dont want a 3 peat
We need a 20 week schedule 18 games 6 weeks bye weeks 6 weeks then bye again last 6 and boom playoffs
i don't see a problem they'll still get a winning recorded 1st place maybe not. 12-5
12-5
14-3 at best
If the Chiefs win it again this year, with this schedule, we can stop arguing about it. They are the greatest team every, with the GOAT at QB. I assume that Reid will have a plan for how to prep, but I am guessing that one of those games around Christmas ( Cleveland, Houston, Pittsburgh ) they will either play backups, or have some simplified scheme. The Houston game might matter for playoff seeding, so it might be a skip prep for Pittsburgh, and focus on the other two games, since they have 7 and 6 days, just the 4 day turnaround seems suspect. We are talking about the end of the year, maybe they won't care about any of them, depending on how the AFC has comes together.
It's not just 3 games in 10 days (12/15-12/25), it's 6 games in 31 days (11/24-12/25), when the normal number would be 4. The other 3 Christmas day teams have either a bye in week 14 or a mini-bye on 11/24.
The mid-week games are an abomination, really damaging to a fair schedule and harmful to the players.
Besides the 10-day stretch with 3 games I really don't get why anyone thinks their schedule is so brutal, they get 6 games against their own division - probably the easiest in the AFC outside of the Chiefs - and then 4 games against arguably the weakest division in the NFC. Aside from that, they also play the AFC North, and I don't think anyone believes the Browns or Steelers are going to be a powerhouse. That's 12 games they should be favored to win comfortably right there. The only games they should really be tested in are against the Ravens, Bengals (maybe), 49ers, and Bills, and the last of those is in week 11.
Don't underestimate Taylor in the stands and ref help. They will win it all again. Go back and watch Bosa being held but Trent gets called on a crucial play?
Cry baby 😭
It would be hilarious if the Chiefs were in a decent seeding position and could afford to rest guys on Christmas Day.
Imagine Mahomes doesn’t even play; what a middle finger that would be to Goodell 😂
Probably won’t happen because it’s rare you’re locked into a spot before the final week, but man it’d be something.
If the complaint was about anyone playing on Christmas OK, but ALL the teams playing on Christmas have exactly the same rest in those 10 days. The chiefs only play twice on short rest against a team with full week of rest. Compare that to the Bengals, Ravens, and Bills. You also play the pathetic NFC south while the Ravens and Bengals play the NFC East and the Bills the NFC West. Not to mention the own-division opponents of each of those teams. The Chiefs whining about their schedule is absolutely ridiculous.
I am not happy with their schedule either; it appears to be a direct and intentional method of making sure the Chiefs do not make it to the playoffs, much less to the bowl. The fans will see through it also.
Cincinati at Kansas City - There is home / away rotation. It has been the Bengals traveling to the Chiefs 4 straight games now, BS
I thought your team owned Burrowhead???
The 49ers schedule is brutal too.
Yea 😢
😮😮😮😮😮😮
Somebody wanna see the Chiefs fail 😢 or not to 3-peat
Absolutely no worries, we got proven rifles on our side this time
49ers are going to have the 3rd worst net rest differential since 2002. They had the 6th worst last season. 49ers have the maximum of 2 short-week Thursday games, just like last year. No other team did the max last year and will do it this year. They'll face KC (wk7) and Dallas (wk8) coming off their bye weeks before taking their own bye (wk9). Then the 49ers face Seattle (wk11) and Buffalo (wk13) off of their bye weeks. Indy faces 3 teams (Ten/Den/Mia) off of byes. 7 teams face 2 teams coming off of byes. 11 teams face 1 team coming off a bye. 12 teams face no team off a bye.
Yes, the Niners got screwed too.
Jeebus, of all the countless pictures of Andy Reid you could choose, you have to go with the "frozen snot" picture? Yuck.
That’s not snot. It’s condensation from his breath freezing in his mustache🤦♂️
Chiefs opponents have to play on those same days, with the same lack of rest. We good.
Not really how that works lmao, not all teams are playing on Christmas for example
It's _not_ with the _same_ lack of rest. Did you _already_ forget about KC's December 2023 schedule?
FTC.
I have to work 6 12 hour days EVERY week more often than not and I don't get paid anything close to what these guys do. Cry me a river why dontcha sheesh
You might want to direct that to the ever-aging fixtures in the US Senate. . .
In the NFL the AVERAGE hit is roughly the same G-force you would absorb if you were in a car and hit a brick wall at 30 miles per hour. I highly doubt what you do at your job is anything close to that.
And there are people that have it MUCH worse than you wondering why you’re whining about having a full time job in the comments. All this stuff is relative, andrew..
I'm gonna go ahead and call bullshit on "I have to work 6 12 hour days EVERY week more often than not"
@@proxy6211I'm with you on that, plus playing in the NFL is way more strenuous than most blue collar jobs, especially these days
My response: boohoo
Early bye followed by playing a 49ers team at their house and them, seeking revenge sucks!!
I am not impressed with Nantz. Without Romo making up for his lack of actual experience in football as a player, he's little more than a prop teleprompter reader. With all of the behind the scenes fact finders and historical past prompters in his ears, he's jaded and without humility not acknowledging what supplies him with his banter. A little too smug for my tastes, he does not excel at any particular aspect of announcing the game, but is given the plumb spots because of Romo and his incisive knowledge...
I love Jim Nantz and Rich Eisen but you do realize that they go through each division every year it's not like the NFL is making these teams up. You do realize that right. So the Chiefs have been a first-place team for 9 straight years so they'll play the Texans the bills the Ravens the AFC North the NFC South and whatever the NFL picks the other games are so stop acting like it's a conspiracy that they have a tough schedule
