      Indeed. This guy also doesn't explain why its not allowed. He only says that its a bit dirty. But that depends on each dog. Cause you have some dogs that are much cleaner than the other. It depends on each breed. Even some cats are dirty too. If your train your dog that he pees and shits on the right place than there is no problem. Cats are even more unpredictable than dogs. Even if your dog licks your hand you still have wudu for example, in the (Maliki madhab). So why can't you having him in your house? Weird video imo. Moving angels away doesn't mean that it is haram too. He has too much personal taste in his reasoning too, rather than giving real arguments.

    • @dryhug5084

      @@issi529 I personally have no problem with there being a lack of explanation on why specifically a dog is not allowed. I don't ask why I can't eat pork -- Allah commands me not to eat pork in the Quran so I don't eat it. But with the case of dogs being a deterrent to angels, it doesn't line up with the historical evidences and sahih hadiths that mention dogs in many instances. How can a dog be allowed into a masjid but in the same breath be banned from the house. All in the name of the comfort of angels. Does this mean the angels were not present in the house of Allah? It doesn't make sense. Furthermore, he says that the saliva of a hunting dog is not najis but the saliva of a regular dog is. This also defies logic. I hope that these questions can be answered soon.

    • @issi529
      @issi529 Před měsícem

      @@dryhug5084 I know what you mean but in this specific case its very important to give a real explanation why dogs are haram. Cause eating pork is just a wrong example. There are enough explanations that it is forbidden. This is not the case for dogs. I didn't heard one real argument or proof about it. And on top of that your story is also true. There is a unanimous agreement about not eating pork but thats not the case with dogs in your house. Very strange.

    • @dryhug5084
      @dryhug5084 Před měsícem

      @@issi529 what I mean is that even if the explanations for eating pork weren’t present it wouldn’t matter bcs the Quran strictly prohibits it. So if it turned out that eating pork was actually healthy for you to eat or something I wouldn’t touch it bcs there’s an explicit prohibition of it with no contradictions in the Quran. Moreover, in the case with the dogs. If the Quran strictly prohibited dogs then I wouldn’t need any explanations because the wisdom is coming from the almighty. The only reason why I question the validity of the dog-in-the-house prohibition is because it doesn’t align with other hadiths such as the dogs being allowed in the masjid, the saliva of a hunting dog being pure, and the many stories that put dogs in a positive light throughout Islamic tradition and history. May Allah forgive me if I am wrong and guide me to what is true. I’m no scholar but I am a skeptic and will ask questions when things don’t sound right to me. May Allah guide us Allah for He knows best.

Its completely different. So my question was not only on the why but where does it say that it is haram. If it was in the quran he would have said that. This was definitely not a good video. Excuse me. Then how did the dog sleep with Ashab al-Kahf in the cave? Jibril didn't come to the house because the puppy was dead, and then narrators must've assumed that angels don't like dogs in general, or they confounded the issue with the issue of dogs that suffer from rabies. That would mean that Jibril wouldn't appear above Jabal an-Nur, because there were dogs sleeping outside in Mecca.

      The dog of Ashab al kahf was a guard dog. It even mentions that he slept at the entrance of the cave. So it comes under the exception that the sheikh mentioned. Also the sharia of that time could be different. Lastly, a cave is not comparable to a house.

    There are many holes in this statement.
    (1) He insinuates that dog excrement is najis because dogs eat meat. In contrast excrement of ducks sheep, etc is not najis because they are herbivores. Mistake 1…dogs and ducks are both OMNIVORES.
    (2) It makes absolutely no sense to put a guard dog in a garage or backyard. The valuables to be protected (Human life) are INSIDE the house. The dog had one job and you made it ineffective.
    Instead of re-examining the ahadith to make sense of them (either they were for a specific time and purpose or not sahih) we’ve resorted to make nonsensical statements.

      I mean there are holes in your statement too:
      1. He did not make that statement though. That's what you have interpreted.
      2. He never suggested garage for a guard dog. He said keep it outside (0:30) which makes total sense. They are used to deter intruders / detect potential threats and respond if someone approaches your property.

    • @SomeofThisSomeofThat
      @SomeofThisSomeofThat Před 9 hodinami

      1. He specifically mentioned the excrements of dogs and contrasted its excrements to that of ducks, goats and sheep. He SPECIFICALLY pointed out that these animals are herbivores and is not like that iff a dog’s. There is not other reason to point out the diet of these animals unless he was using that information to make a point…that is why we use words after all. Otherwise stating that these animals are herbivores and their excrements not najis and contrasting that to a dog’s excrements was superfluous. My point still stands.
      2. Not worth typing to explain

    • @manbetterunderstand
