This actually made me laugh out loud, great job explaining this in a simple way
Awesome video. Funny and informative!
When can we expect the next MTS Live?
Thank you! Hoping for Friday at 2:00 Central
Hands down the best video you have made yet. Also where can I buy
Great video, Jack. I have a roughly 1,200 sq/ft single story, rectangular, rental property with a single U6 LR access point centrally located in the attic. Several of the bedrooms on the far end of the house still get very weak 5Ghz signal. I've tuned all of the settings on the AP to limit congestion and maximize signal strength. I was considering adding another access point. Do you think that would be overkill?
Awesome presentation. Keep up the good job buddy!
I wish all CZcams videos were narrated this quickly. I wouldn't have to abuse the playback speed setting.
Yeh just wait till you do houses in Scotland with walls 2 feet thick made of solid stone. Oh how I wish we had thin walls made of nothing 😂 Funny vid very enjoyable.
Haha yeah came to say this. My brick and mortar solid wall in the Midlands is better than my mum's three foot granite wall in Cornwall, but still a challenge at times! Have to get creative with the placements.
Oh, and fireplaces 😔.
Then again, guess our English houses (and probably your scottish ones) are tiny compared to the average US home using unifi.
I’ve been waiting for this!!!
Oh wait it’s not the one I was thinking about but this is still really funny and good
Which one were you waiting for???
@@MillerTechnicalServices the aps in a chain meching together one that u mentioned in a stream
I want to say the most over used WiFi name is FBI surveillance van.
I love this!
Yes in Europe we do love some thick walls
But at least we don't have caps on cable/fiber/dsl broadband.
Nice video but about those channels you talked about. I have a 3200sqft home 2 story. I have a netgear night hawk router with wifi. And I have recently bought 3 Netgear WAX214’s. I understand the overlapping channel crosstalk. But what channels do I need to be on? Are there certain ones or as long as its different it doesn’t matter? And do I need to disable the wifi on the main router? I plan to space the AP’s evenly throughout the home so Im sure some overlapping will be there. Thanks
There really aren’t any specific channels. You can do a sweep with your phone if you download an app to see what channels are congested so you can avoid those.
brain damage on a stand!
Ya know, for portability.
Any suggestion around how far they should be from each other and not exactly on top of each other on both floor to avoid overlapping or interference or does this even matter in a two story house?
I have ap upstairs in the attic near one side of the house and the other ap downstairs on the opposite end. That’s what works for my house. You just don’t want much overlap but it’s not the end of the world if you do. I recommend grabbing some long Ethernet cable and just messing around with the placement and seeing what works for you before you run your installation cables or settle on final placement.
Would you recommend me a unifi u6 long range or waiting for a WiFi 6 version of the Ap AC Pro?
Doesn’t really matter. Both are pretty kickin
@@MillerTechnicalServices ok, thanks.
Unless .... they had a concept of channels so they don’t conflict... oh wait they do....
good shit deude
Hello, I run a business and have up to 30-40 phones on a 2.4ghz network in a close proximity. What is the best option to keep a decent speed and lower or eliminate the disconnects?
A high density access point. The nanoHd or the AP HD
@@MillerTechnicalServices Right on, thank you very much for the response! I really appreciate it, earned a new sub
How much coffee did you drink before making this video?
Makes sense
i wonder what people have for wifi names I'm sure its not good lol
radiation 📈📈
I have 8k sq. ft. all on one level. 5 access points, but one of them is constantly dropping like every few mins. Im not sure what is going on?
Is your camera in the microwave at the end? lol
ummm...
What Mic's are you using?
Thank you! Sennheiser MEII Lav
@@MillerTechnicalServices If you are near a server rack does it pickup the sound of the fans much? I have that issue in my home office and am trying to find a solution for my videos.
I want to emphasize the HUUUUUGE difference between 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz! So, what works for general public, may not work for others. For example, I have over 48 neighbors' signals on one side of my house on the 2.4Ghz rendering channel over 97% used. I could have phone right next to AP and not even make initial connection-much less getting internet. This forced me to go 98% 5Ghz. Only have 4-5 items on ok side of house using 2.4GHZ. Due to this, I had to use four APs. 2 outdoor for front and back yards. 2 inside house. This is because 5GHZ is such lower range. But now get full internet speed in every square foot of my property!
Why don't you try any mesh network products? That's the future! Also totally didn't expect that you're only 19!😁 Try some new gadgets and you should run a great channel!
All newest orbi, eero all use same channels and no interference amoung them. I know this sounds impossible, but speeds are very fast 600+
Hilarious!
Native Spanish speaker here and still understood better the "hello", reason: 1rst I'm expecting you to speak English so I catch first "hello" and second because your "hola" accent is good but not as native speaker, so still would catch first "hello".
Dude you might want to cut back on the caffeine!!
😂 Great video
Nice video!! Very engaging from beginning to end. Nevertheless, businesses and investment are easiest way to make money irrespective of which party makes it to the oval office.
