I lived in Orlando for many years. I was there when all this happened. I had friends who helped search for Caylee. To this day, I believe Casey killed her daughter.

I lived down the street during this and man I remember it being such a media circus too. I always felt so bad for the grandparents and ofcourse Caylee.

I work in nursing homes sometimes people end up here because they weren’t always the nicest. Regardless of their previous life choices I always give compassionate care however I have met family member who have broke down and said WHY they don’t visit much and it’s because they were people like Casey who never cared about anyone but themselves …. This will most likely be Casey’s fate .

@@deloresgarza7584 I completely agree! I work with 55+ community. Older people act like no one is around for them and they gave so much to their families. The truth will always come out it may take years but bitter people get theirs in the end.

Karma doesn’t exist… it’s a social construct made to make people with little power feel better when bad things happen around them.

I remember watching the trial while at work. The day of the verdict, the whole office stopped working & stood by tv listening. So many of us were furious when the verdict was read. There are few events I can recall where I was and what was happening...this was one of them.

@wd5739 I don't really remember what happened to her afterwards. I think she changed her appearance and moved away. I remember her throwing some pretty heavy accusations out about her parents. But after all that quieted down, I don't think there have been any kinds of sightings or reportings of her.

Same! I was in a small restaurant and the entire place shut up. Some were mad, some were celebratory. It is crazy to remember where you were with moments in history.
I lived in Orlando when this happened and this entire case was told by a pathological liar the fact she accused her farther of what she did made me sick. The whole zanny The Nanny is not a person its a slang word for a medication that I think was involved in this case imo i believe she gave her too much and she just never woke up.

She should have been allowed to give her up for adoption. She clearly was not ready to be a mother. Why inist she keep her when they knew how unreliable she is? That sweet baby would still be alive.

Her parents didn't ask about her graduation until the day before? They didn't tell the brother who lived there that she was pregnant or press her to tell who the father is? They're messed up too. But I believe she unalived that sweet little girl.

Right!! That’s all I could think about during this clip. I’m not blaming the parents for whatever happened (first I am hearing this story) but being a parent now how in the heck do you not know your child is failing! Her parents had to be so hands off. I know teachers back then would call home to talk about students failing and/or send home progress reports not to mention report cards! All of that just sounds so weird!
I remember following this case back when it was happening and was SO upset when they found her not guilty for her daughter’s death. Like how was she able to hide so much evidence to keep her from living in prison? Caylee deserves so much more justice 😢

I don't want to hear that Casey was too young to be a mother, I had my daughter and only child, when I was 16 and raised her by myself and never received public assistance, I got my GED then went on to college and my parents agreed to watch her while I was in school which I am so grateful for , My daughter is now 34, we are best friends and I have 3 beautiful grandchildren.Being a Nana is amazing

My mom had me at 16 and she was the most protective and loving Mom! Never brought home partying or men.. she kept her growing up completely separate from being my Mom.

I got pregnant at 16, 18, and 23. Also took custody of my 14 year old cousin, who was being abused by her step dad and her mom just let it happen. I don't think I did too bad either. I got 5 grandsons, 2 step grandsons from my 28 year old. Add my cousins step children, there are 5 grandchildren and 8 great grand children, plus these kids are still in their 20's so I don't see them stopping anytime soon. My cousins girlfriend is the same age as I am, my cousin is 39 to be 40 soon. My daughter is 30, my first son is 28, and my youngest 25. My youngest and his wife are trying to have a child. She might not be able to have children, so if that is the case they are either going to do a serogate or adopt. My middle child has 1 boy and 2 step sons. All my children live 9 hours away from me. They all have jobs. They all have their own lives, that i am so very proud of. My daughter has a son that is high on the autistic spectrum, and she can afford all he needs all by herself, but their Dad is there as well so they are living nicely. My middle son works for Jimmy John's for the last 10 years. My youngest has worked for Two Men and a Truck for the last 7 years. My daughter is a supervisor at a metal dying company that does work for the military(he fiance works their too, for the last 11 years. My cousin has been a housekeeper for 6 years, but she is also disabled. As I write this I am like wow. That is allot because I am only 47. So very proud of all 4 of my children.

Those parents should have let her give caylee up. She would most likely still be alive. Casey did not ever want to be a mom. It doesn't justify what she did, but there were clear signs she shouldn't have had that baby.

I was in Florida visiting my nana when this case occurred, not far from where it happened, I remember watching it on the news in the camper of her trailer park and it stuck with me. This case was the first ever case that got me into true crime. I was only 12 at the time!

Casey was sososoooo jealous of how much her parents loved her daughter. Her mom and dad handled Casey with kidgloves to coax information out of her while she was in jail before Caylee was found, and she reacted with a "YOU LOVE HER MORE THAN YOU LOVE ME" tantrum. As if they should be more concerned with her well-being than for a literal baby that they were raising for her.
After the body was found, they still stood by Casey and she threw them under the bus at every opportunity.
She wasn't too young to have a baby imo, she was too selfish.

So dysfunctional to keep the pregnancy from the brother for no dang reason. Casey likely couldn't remember who the dad was, saw him once and never again. He likely has seen the news but doesn't remember Casey either or is in denial over the dates/doesn't want in on the drama since the resulting baby has passed by the time he found out anyway.

Unpopular opinion: I’m not saying Casey didn’t do it but did anyone ever look into Casey’s dad? I don’t think they did - the reason why I bring this to the conversation is I was watching other documentaries on this and something just doesn’t seem right about Casey’s father. I’m wondering if Casey was experiencing some sort of abuse at the hands of her father & also Casey’s daughter. This doesn’t dismiss the allegations around Casey but… I always felt this case was a lot deeper than what meets the eye.
