We were able to get our hands on some and start testing and we want to share the major changes, how they will affect performance VS the BFG KO2 and what we think will improve and what could possibly get worse. ATW4 please, if you haven't already. I have the OEM ATW3's on a Tundra and they do ok. Just unhappy with the specs that Toyota wanted on them. 9/32 of tread to start with isn't enough. Thanks!

I absolutely love videos like this! I am amazed that they are free! It would take me months, maybe years to figure out all of this stuff on tires. It is important, because a new set of tires can easily be well over $1,000. Some people spend $40,000/year to go to college, to read books that you can read for free on the internet, and learn just as much as you can learn for free.

I drive 5-7000 miles a month in the oilfield as a pumper checking oil wells. I used to try every trick imaginable to put the cheapest tires I could on my work trucks. So long as they were eight or ten ply and the cheapest I'd run them. I didn't realize the headache I was creating for myself until I finally justified a set of Ko2's on one of my favorite pickups. 25k on them and not even but one nail puncture.
The difference is mind blowing. The amount of money I've saved just not repairing nail punctures... Not replacing junk tires that shred before their time is up.
A little under half my route is highway, everything else is county road or privately owned lease roads. So I can't justify the most aggressive tires because I'll shred them on the highway. So these Ko2's are actually the perfect compromise. So long as I can justify USA made BFG tires I will.
Honestly I thought they over overpriced gimmicky tires but I was dead wrong. Worth every penny. In that 25k I used to nearly replace two sets of tires. Not anymore.
My friend overloads his one ton dually dodge a lot to the point of the tired bulging… he’s never got a flat with the ko2s, not even one, although they wore out quickly, they were really tough, his wildpeaks got a ton of flats..
lol,,, I have a '06 Dodge megacab 4x4. (very heavy) I often pull a loaded 5T utility trailer, & a 35' camper, & 26' boats off road & many miles down the hiway. From day 1, Ive had BFGs RUGGED TERRAIN, load Es on it. I loved how they did in the rain so now I'm looking for my 4th set of tires to put on this truck.

Dude, I also work in the oil/gas field. Tires are safety equipment, possibly the most important safety equipment. You don't skimp on safety equipment.
I'm in the same environment. The BFG ko2, Falken AT/3, and surprisingly the Hercules Terra trac AT/2 work the best for me. The Hercules didn't last as long, but they were less expensive.
This review was freaking incredible, you did a lot of research and you gave us facts. Most tire reviews, they just give us opinions of what they think and not facts, but you did an incredible job on this review. 👏

I got the KO2s as soon as they were available. 6 of my friends started using them after seeing mine. I got them because I like the stiff sidewall. It helps the handling while pulling my equipment trailer. Now I am really excited about the KO3S. Hopefully will have a set this year.

Incredible review… awesome of you to take it back in time and tell a little bit about the history. I have collectively over 300,000 miles on KO/KO 2 variant and no issues for our type of wheeling and we typically get 50 to 60,000 miles out of them… Looking forward to seeing how the ko3 perform on my next set.

I appreciated the history as well. Thank you. However, the BFG history that was presented in the video ended about 50 years ago (1976, IIRC). I'm a LOT more interested in "what they have done lately". As an analogy, knowing who made the best electric typewriter in 1976 (IBM Selectric) doesn't tell me much about best communication technology today (I kind of like my Mac). @@OutdoorAuto
On my Silverado I had the KO twos. Because I’m more am on road and towing Hall. I had a lot of issues with traction in wet weather. They worked good in dry weather and snow. I switched to the Cooper 83. It’s a great tire. If they actually have fixed the on road, wet weather issues, and I can still tow and haulin my ram, I may switch back when these tires are beyond service. Thank you for the review. I look forward to an update when you actually contest them.

Big tire geek here! Love BFG AT’s, learned how to wheel in my Dads Cherokees with original BFG ATs. They performed great in MN snow, sand etc. I had BFG AT KO’s and was very pleased putting them through some serious tests on my Lifted Grand Cherokee ZJ. 31x10.50 tire. RARELY got stuck in that Jeep. Tires performed great! Sand dunes to deep snow and ice, even some mud at times. Obviously mud is the weakness of any AT, but they did what I needed several times in some nasty mud, tires spinning and throwing mud like you want. SUPERB performance in snow/ice and sand. Even had a giant Nail “staple” penetrate my outter lug near sidewall,BAD spot, Discount Tire said I might need a new tire. They pulled it out and it NEVER leaked! Tri-guard sidewall for the win!! Missed the KO2s as they came out while my tires were still 50+%. Then with years of back injury hell, currently living. Hoping to have a successful surgery, recovery and build my next Jeep and put KO3’s on it!! Can’t wait to put them to the Minnesota challenges.

Really great review. Detailed, objective, no BS. I like it. Well, your Niners get to play my Lions next weekend (besides being a Broncos fan for 30+ years, I am a born to it, long suffering Lions fan as well). Keep up the great reviews. I run 39 x 13.5 x 17 BFG KM2s in the summer for rock crawling, and 35 x 12.5 x 17 Duratracs in the winter here in Colorado (for street snow traction) on my Wrangler. Thanks again.
Great review! I'm a long time KO2 user and still love them. They are quite, smooth and absolute beast mode in the snow on my 2000 XJ. My only issue with them is lateral wet traction. I have dedicated tires for mudding, so I don't care about that aspect. I'm looking forward to trying out there KO3 - if/when BFG produces them in larger sizes.
I too would love too get these in a 40x13.5, but won't hold my breath.

I have the K02 on my 2023 4Runner LTD on TRD Pro 17in wheels, I switch them when I go for a long road trip. The peace of mind this tire offers is impressive. I also was impressed when I went from Central Florida to Blowing Rock, NC a month ago with the snow traction it delivered. 3F with -20F wind chill, black ice, hard packed snow, I only lost steering control (understeer) a couple times in that twisted mountain snowy road. The look is also amazing. 🤪Great review!
We started running the KO2s at work a few years ago. I’ve got 55k on mine(Silverado 1500) and not even half worn. My boss just hit the wear bars at 113k on his Canyon. These tires are unbelievable.
Just takes proper maintenance. Rotate and don't under or over inflate. Good alignment
24k on mine and they are mostly done. I do have a 1 ton dually though. On road handling was very squirmy. Can't wait to try the KO3 next time.

Thank you so much for doing this comparison! Had a set of KO2's on my '98 Cherokee and loved them. Moved up to an '18 Silverado and they immediately went on it as well.
Currently sitting at about 45K and noticing some slipping in the snow (Canada) so will probably upgrade next fall. Considering these if they become available by then. You're the fist thorough side by side comparison I've seen. Killer as always.

Currently have 265/70R17 but am open to going up a size. My truck is stock at this point so I think 275 or maybe 285 should fit no problem. If the 265's aren't out by then.

I just got a set of these bfg ko3's for my 2020 2500 duramax off a brand new gmc truck. Only have about a 1000 miles on them so far, but almost half of that was in mixed snow and ice conditions due to the storm that hit the pnw. So far im pretty impressed with the winter performance, I would say as good or better than the previous generation and wet performance is even more impressive so far. One down side is they seem a touch louder than the previous ko2's ive had and definitely louder than the stock michelins that came on my truck, but ive also never run this large of a size on any vehicles since this is approximately a 34" tire. Time will tell if they hold up to the weight of the diesel.
I was afraid that they didn't fix the noise issues or that they made them worse. Most likely I will avoid these and go with something else.
I’m excited to see what happens with the ko3 once guys are able to put them to the test. But I will say other then mud and deep snow these are the best tires I’ve ran. They are incredible in the winter on the roads. I live in a place that get far more snow then most places and I drive a Toyota sequoia.
Great video, the shoulder ridges within the water channel are for introducing air into the tire when clearing or driving in thick or slick mud. Think of them as a stick when your foot gets stock in mud or quicksand.
Keep the videos going. Would love to see a RT video comparing the Toyo RT Trail, Falken Wildpeak RT and other brands!
My load range F Michelin Pilots have one ply sidewalls, but that one ply is steel. These are the best tires I have ever used. All the plies are steel, so there are no differential material stresses, as with poly-steel. KO3 looks interesting. Excellent video, i like your content.
I can say that the KO2 works much better in mud than the Cooper AT3, at least in typical clay style mud we get in Australia. I worry about the tighter pattern on the new KO3 being a step back in mud. I look forward to when you get a chance to test them.

I ran k02 on every truck I had. Best tire on the market. They lasted a long time on my Chevy trucks and I never had an issue. Never got too stuck, they gripped the road well, worked amazing in the snow. Couldn't beat it.
Same here in CO, great in the snow. Never slipped even in the mountains during a snow storm.

If you have a heavy truck they seem to do just fine. But on a Jeep, no I bet they arent great. @@benruthlessburger8905
I've put 80K+ on both sets I've had. Both on an avalanche, never had traction issues.
only some mild slip on ice where i live, blizzaks are for sure the best for ice here, though these ko2 tires have been insanely good

Thank you, very interesting for me as I am currently running KO2s on my 3.2 diesel Ranger here in Australia. Bitumen, corrugated gravel and sand treks, rocky river
crossings and steep climbs over rocky terrain, the KO2's are great. The only minus is as you pointed out the wet road performance like now in our tropical rain
season. You just have to be careful. Snow and ice does not concern me here. Will be definitely looking to the new tyres when I need a replacement. Carl 🇦🇺
Great video thank you! I love my K02s never had a single issue. Durable, grippy, great in sand (haven’t had to drop pressure) and in my experience quiet and pretty comfortable on road for an AT. That being said I’m thrilled they have an update and maybe that will make K02s cheaper too!
I’ve been running the KO3s for about 1,200 miles so far on a ‘20 Tacoma here in VT and am really happy with the grip, road noise, etc.
I can only compare them to Falken WPs on a different vehicle but was happy that our local 4x4 shop had them to include on some recent upgrades to the truck.
How do they compare to the wild peaks?
I have a set of wild peak at3, how does the road noise compare to these new ko3?

@@cbrown17982010~ because the WP AT3s I have are on a Forester I feel like it’s not an accurate comparison. Both vehicles are set up very differently and honestly, I hear more noise from the gear I have on top of the truck compared to the KO3s underneath.
I’ve enjoyed the ride, grip, etc. on the WPs and would consider looking at them again when I need the next set of tires for the truck but based strictly on road noise I’d be hard pressed to choose one over the other at this point.
@@jaredkish8716~ I really like the look of both on vehicles. Strictly comparing the road noise (mentioned above in a reply) is tough to judge because the AT3s are on a Forester and the KO3s are on the Tacoma. Road noise alone it’s a tough call because of the comparison I have but I’d absolutely look at the KO3s for your ride when you’re ready to swap out.
Zero issues with either tire in both wet and snowy weather for me.
Two friends have had difficulty aligning/maintaining alignment with AT3s on their Tundra and Tacoma so I was open to trying the KO3s based on mass feedback of KO2s and the fact they were available at the time of my lift.
I’ve noticed the KO3s picking up a small stone in the treads more so than the WPs but they are also much bigger tires. Not something that’s been an issue at all but May be a consideration for some depending on the bulk of your terrain.
My KO2s have 50,000 miles on them and are still going strong but I can’t wait for the KO3s!
They seem to be pretty solid... I am excited to get a big set.

My wife and I both have wildpeaks at3 on our vehicles and both have balance issues. They perform well in most situations but having inconsistent carcasses creates bad road force issues. Looking forward to running a set of these KO3s.
I am at 45k on a set of KO2's on my Colorado and they still have a ton of tread left.
I had over 100,000km on my KO2’s on a 2500 when I had a cord let go and a blow out. Great tires. Unmatched winter traction as they are sipped all the way to 0% tread.

Excellent review! I’ve run several sets of KO’s and KO2’s in all types of terrain and temperatures. They’ve always held up great but have left me wishing for more traction in wet and snowy conditions. Will probably try these after my Wildpeak AT3W’s wear out. Really hoping for a 35x11.5R17 option. Probably won’t get it though.

I haven’t run BFG A/T tires since the first generation. I am currently running Falkin Wildpeak A/T 3s on our Colorado and Gladiator and Falkin Wildpeak A/T trails on my Subaru. I get what you were saying about larger A/T tire sizes. When it came to my Subaru, I was glad Falkin made some smaller A/T tire sizes so I could run stock size A/T tires.
Falken has made some impressive tires lately for sure... my only thing on the AT3W's is they are really heavy, like really heavy, yet only have the 2 ply sidewalls. But they have proven to be pretty solid tires.
Does the number of stated "plys" really have anything to do with the optimal purpose of the tire?
What I am getting at is that I thought many tires manufacturers talk about the number of plys but that is in the context of load rating, not the actual number of "plys" used in the tire construction.
My interest is in optimal purpose and that includes an understanding of sidewall cut resistance, sidewall flex, and load rating if it is an Offroad tire. As an example, I had a recent phone conversation with Nokian re: some of their winter tires and the tech I spoke with told me that despite Nokia's marketing brochures, there was no improvement in sidewall cut resistance between two different lines of their tires despite the "implied suggestion" of a difference in the sidewall cut resistance as described in their marketing literature.... Upon careful review it became apparent that Nokian was being "cute" with its word selection to create an impression without making the factual statement. (For the record, I did purchase studded Nokian Hakka LT3's this winter and their snow and ice performance is nothing short of amazing....).
For instance, if one tire manufacturer advertised an E rated tire as 10 plys (which may or may not mean ten actual "plys") but they were all polyester and another advertised its E rated tires as having fewer plys but they put (making this up) lots of aramid fiber in the sidewalls, couldn't the second tire have better sidewall cut protection when off-roading? Beyond that, at some point isn't it likely that "lots of plys" results in an unduly stiff sidewall that makes for a very rough ride, like using an "F" rated tire off-road when a "D" rated tire (with cut resistant sidewalls) might be better? @@OutdoorAuto

Classic review, no Bs. Thank you. I’m still trying to make a decision. Ive seen most of your tire reviews, but it’s hard to prioritize what I’m looking for.
I don’t have a desirable size, (285/50/22. New ram Limited, don’t do much offloading, would like something quiet, but more aggressive, and something that balances well with a reasonable weight. Also, one that does not get excessively loud as it wears. Midwest, few snow days, occasional rain.
Consider sizing way down from those 22s. You are right. You do not have a desirable size. Method Racing Wheels (a really great wheel maker) does not even make 20+ sized wheels. That is because it is the amount of rubber that comes between the road and the vehicle that makes the ride comfortable, the road control sharp, and the steering accurate. The little bitty strip of rubber that goes on 22s really makes a comfortable ride, sharp road control and crisp steering impossible. 22s are produced only because folks think they look cool. But they mess up the driving experience considerably.
Great review, and it backs up almost everthing I found when I picked these up in Sept 2023 for my FJ cruiser. Same as you, had the KO2s for YEARS, and generally loved them. These new ones are more comfortable, they are more responsive on highway, better in the wet and cold, and though I never really thought the KO2 was 'bad' for me on snow and slush (also had original BFGs that SUCKED), these were shockingly "amazing", in comparison. What I did note and worry about was the WEIGHT: they are I think 6lbs heavier for the same size and Load Range (C-285/17). I worried a TON about fuel mileage since I commute 3-4 hours for work a couple dozen times a summer in wildland fire. So far, weirdly enough, my MPG in all conditions went UP, a solid 2mpg, including city. From what I was told by tire shop it is because desoite the weight (as you noted a solid carcass), the tire has a greatly reduced rolling resistence (tread pattern and compound material). I don't know how these will do for those who tow toys and trailers, but I would bet they perform at least as good, but my bet would be even better for you.
I gained about 2mpg as well. I'm very pleased with the KO2 after having switched from Duratracs.

Great review! I’m going into my last year on my second set of KO2’s and they’ve been great! I’m glad to see the KO3’s should address the hi/low uneven wear on the outmost tread blocks. I’ll most definitely be replacing my KO2’s with KO3’s when the time comes. Unless the don’t offer raised white lettering, that would be a deal breaker!

I have LT275/60R20 KO2s on my F150, I bought them last year in June and the amount of wheel weights discount tire slapped on is absurd. I’ve got 20k miles on them so far and they’ve done well in loose sand. Biggest gripe if any is they’ve gotten notably louder.

Great video review. I had a set of KO2 of my 4Runner for 4 years and they were great off road but the road noise was too annoying (especially later in the life of the tire), so I switched to the Firestone Destination A/T2 which have been excellent for mostly road driving and hauling a 4,500 lbs cargo trailer daily for 3 years. I noticed you and many other channels don't have reviews on Firestone off-road tires, like A/T, X/T, & M/T.
I have a set of the Firestone MTs… they are ok… no complaints but also nothing special. I buy tire a primarily for off-road use… that isn’t really their market
Great review mate, I run Ko2s on my old Hilux Surf down here in New Zealand (a Surf is the same as your 4Runner but with a turbo diesel and manual transmission). I have a 100km (60 mile) round trip to work every day over a mountain range that is bone dry during summer and has snow/ice during winter. I carry snow chains in winter but haven't needed them once with the Ko2s. Pretty excited to try the 3s when the 2s finally wear out.
I’ve already driven ~10k miles on my KO3s and I love them. I’ve pushed them hard off-road, in every condition and have driven in snow (I live in Utah) and they’re the best all-terrain tire I’ve ever driven. I’ve gone through 2 sets of KO2s, and these are light years better. Great video

@@OutdoorAutomy KO2s on my 92 f250 are whit letter out on phone dial alloy wheels, as looks best on old trucks. Wouldn’t have it any other way. KO2s are some of the best looking tires out there, and that sort of subjective thing also matters. I’ll look forward to trying some KO3s in the future. Though my wallet won’t love it b

Just under 70K (with legal tread left) on my first set before deciding to buy a second set for my 4Runner. They handled everything ive ever thrown at them very well with the exception of ice, but still got the job done. I think perhaps their greatest strength is durability/longevity. Probably going to try something else next go around just for the heck of it, and Ko3 will be at the top of the list.
You must rotate your tires regularly. 70k is awesome 👏

I rotate my ko2’s every 5000 miles. Mine work well on ice, I live in MN and they perform very well pulling an ice castle on a frozen lake, and on snowy roads.

On my second set of Ko2s ..first set got 95,000ks out of them on my dedender 130. Second set are at around 50,000 now and still look great. Frequent tyre pressure checks and a rotation at 10,000 seems to work great for me.
really looking forward to seeing how the k03's do in the snow. I don't need them often but my experience with the ko2's in the ice/slush/snow were sketchy enough to have me looking elsewhere when I replace in a few months.

My anecdotal review: I have the at3 on my truck and now the at4 on my 4runner and all I can say is they’re fucking amazing and look awesome too with the new alternating side tread blocks. Do well in snow and off road
I love them so far, the AT4W and Baja Boss AT are my current favorite two all terrains.

Great review! Had the originals on my 89 4runner in the early 2000s, went to Yokohama Geolanders, then Coopers...so would you consider these an AT still or RT ?
Great review. I loved the KO2s for snow and longevity, but they sucked in mud and staying round/balanced. Hopefully the KO3 fixes that.
BFG is sure taking their time releasing them... hopefully that means they are taking the time to nail the manufacturing consistency.

Yep. I switched from the K02s to the Yokohama G003 Geolandar because the BFGs are terrible in mud.

I enjoy your detailed tire reviews, my AT tire experience is pretty limited, have Toyo Open County tires ob my tacoma that are great but not much off-road use, love the KO2s i have on my wrangler and tundra, and have goodyear Duratrac tires on my 100 series, and other than the noise they have also been great. Looking forward to these KO3 tires as a replacement for my goodyears when the hundred series needs new tread

The tread pattern definitely looks better for wet conditions which is my issue with the KO2. Every time it rained the rear always slid around. The casings are tough as nails but that killed it for me. They look promising though. Personally I prefer hybrid tires these days and I’m going to the Maxxis razr at811 next.
I haven't tested that Maxxis.... I liked their MT's a lot though. I will have to check those out.

The KO2 are absolutely amazing tires! I think the KO3 is an improvement over it. That said I will be switching to Wildpeak AT4W when my current ones wear out. Only because it snows a lot here in Michigan.
Falken timed the release of the AT4 really well, they have been making solid tires too.

Thanks for doing this video. I haven't used BFGs since the tire before the ko2. From what i had heard people say no big loss but the ones I had in the 90s and into the 2000s were pretty decent. Had 3 sets. Im really interested in trying these new ones on my 2016 GMC Sierra Z71. Also I was always into the white letters also. Mine were always out. Plain black wall looks boring to me but everyone is different 😅
I really like the KO2 tread pattern. I chose it over a lot of other tires, but now the KO3 tread pattern looks more like the ones I didn't choose. We'll see how it goes.

That is awesome... I really like their AT3Ws... I still need to get a set of those for testing... Hard to keep up with all the new tires.
@OutdoorAuto For sure! I've seen a couple people post about them but it's way too early to know for sure. They are definitely more aggressive looking and seem to have improved on comfort of ride, but I've also heard they have a little more road noise.

@@bumblebee8599 the KM3 is out… that is a MT… different tire. K03 was shipped in 1 size Oem on 1 truck all other sizes and general sales are not out yet.

Hi! I live in Scotland and daily drive an Isuzu Dmax pickup. I got it end Nov 2011, and have done 122500 miles in it. It came with Bridgestone Duelers. They shocked me with their abysmal wet performance. From acceleration to cornering to braking, they just had no grip. They looked uninteresting as well. I've had KO2s on for 3 years now and what a difference they've made. They've been far better in wet conditions than the Duelers. Much better grip in the dry, and they look great too! Not forgetting the 3 peaks and snowflakes either. We can get quite a bit of the white stuff here too! They're not supposed to be great on fuel economy, but neither were the Duelers. With a some small changes to my driving style, I've actually slowly improved fuel milage. My lifetime average is now at 29.6mpg, or 24.7 in US gallons. That's out of a 2.5L diesel. The only petrol engined pickup here is the new Ranger Raptor!

Agreed about the balancing issues with the KO2s. I’ve had three sets and my last set, no shop could get a proper balance on. Regardless though, they are my first choice in snow and ice (Alaskan here) so I’ll stick with them. ✌🏼
I've found KO2's to be pretty disappointing in snow and ice. I've run two sets now and have had some scary moments on my KO2's, which is not something I experienced with 4 sets of Duratracs.
@@Jay-me7gw that’s interesting. Maybe over-inflated? I take a few psi out every winter, but I imagine most people don’t . They are one of the only triple snow peak certified tires, and leaps and bounds better then the stock Firestones that came on my trucks. Those tires are dangerous. Like they say “ go with what ya know “ 👍🏼

The KO3 seems to address the three problems that I had with the KO2; poor (sometimes scary) cornering on wet & cold asphalt, poor braking grip on the same, and slightly sub optimal snow performance. Unfortunately, I currently don't have a suitable 4wd vehicle to try some KO3's on. Maybe next year.

I put kO2’s on my 2014 wrangler when I first bought it in early 2015. I still have them and they have greater than 50% tread. These are fantastic tires. I wait for the snow every year because I have zero fears. No tire has ever given me such confidence. I will always turn to KO’s.
Note: “Unused” is different than “brand new”. The older it is, the less capable the compounds are to deforming around obstacles, providing less grip after a few years even if they have never been mounted.
I got well over 50k miles out of some e rated ko2's on an '07 ram 2500 with the 5.9 cummins. I just checked the air and rotated every oil change. They were great overall tires. We live in upstate ny. So, hot humid summers, wet springs, and snow filled winters. I liked them a bunch
I previously had 35x12.5 KO2 on my Chevy Silverado and loved them. Currently have a 2020 wrangler rubicon with 285 falcon MT and shopping for new tires and the KO3 seem very promising. More of a daily driver but enjoy the off road capability with the tires I choose
I love my KO2's. Put them on my 2019 F150 with Western Midweight composite snowplow after running original Goodyears into oblivion. Was like putting tank treads on in comparison. Quiet on the highway, great in Minnesota rural snow (gravel and dirt roads). I've got approximately 40,000 miles and they are just now starting to show some wear.

Hope you are routing for the packers, but being in Idaho I could also see it being Seahawks or broncos. Great review..thanks man. I have had every tire from Toyo's, all the Nitto's, Yoko X-At's and BFG has been my favorite but not on these HD trucks. I even have raised white letter BFG's on my golf cart. Call me old school but like you I love the white raised letters on the outside. I switched years ago when I couldn't keep our BFG's balanced and BFG tires always seem skinny and not as tall as every other manufacture.... major down fall vs the competition. I switched to Falkin 37 12.5 20's and have been super pleased. I have been waiting for a review like this and will be needing tires in about 2 months and hopefully they will get the sizing correct along w the white lettering and height/width on par w the rest of the tires...otherwise Ill get another set of Falkins and possibly the Wildpeak AT-4's if out in time. subscribed.
Love Your video Nathan. Since I have a long 5/8 inch rock driveway, rock retention in the tread is a big concern for Me. Had a set of all terrain Goodyear tires that drove Me crazy. When doing Your reviews, it may be beneficial to Your viewers to touch on this issue. Rock slinging at 70 mph and compromised balancing are no fun at all.

My old KO all terrains wasn't terrible in the mud. We was on a Jeep group trsil ride in Virginia, and it rained and rained. The orange clay got super slick, fairly hard but about an inch of slime on top. My Jeep got up a hill most struggled to get up. They did OK
I've been rolling with the K03's on my 4Runner for the last 6K miles. Pretty solid tires in all conditions, we haven't had too much snow this year to test the limits!

Thank you for this video! Currently rocking the General Grabber ATX on my 2WD Tundra here in Michigan and it has been great in snow like you said. Some of these tires that are now coming out look very intriguing. Ill be curious how the new KO3 hold up in as many conditions you can test it out in. Currently keeping an eye on the AT4W when it comes out. If I may request a tire to be reviewed on this channel it would be the new Falken Wildpeak AT4W. Cheers.
Great video. No idea what game was on, but it did add great levity. I will be looking at replacing my 10 year old KO2s on my Land Cruiser (100 series) this year, so I am hoping that the KO3 lives up to being a better tire. The KO2 have been great, but they do get hard over time and then slippery here in Boise in the winter.

I have been running the ko2s on my half ton Chevy and it’s done really well for me it’s hauled a lot of firewood and the haven’t let me down
K02 was still my favourite at tire. I sold my truck with an almost new set and my new truck has general grabbers in it now, they are definitely better in heavy rain but I'll surely be trying the ko3 when I need a set in a year or so.

Was wondering if you could give an update video maybe 20,000 plus miles into the ko3’s and compair them to the falken’s at that point when it comes to wet and icy roads, as this is mostly what I am concerned about. I’m on road about 80 percent of the time so that’s where I would be focusing

I look forward to trying this tunes tire on our Toyotas. We tried AT3Ws a few years back and as our KO2 wear our have replaced them with AT3Ws across our vehicles due to the superior wet/snow and a road handling. The K03 may bring us back to BFG. We’d love to see you review the Wildpeak RTs as well.

I love the retro look of white letter side walls on my red 2005 Ram 2500. Reminds me of my toy tonka truck i had when I was a kid ;)....I like my KO2's and was happy to find my local shop balanced them well. They drive fine, feel fine but was surprised they were spinning out in the snow. Had to put my truck in 4WD to get out of my driveway. Haven't been out in heavy rain yet.
Been using the BFG ATs for over 30 years. New F150 replaced my 20 year old F150 a year ago and I put KO2s on it when it had 31 miles. It will be a while before I need a set but glad to see the KO3 will be an option when the time comes.
Thanks for some awesome content. Just found your channel a couple days ago. I have one question / request to make if you can. I watched your All-Terrain Tire Buyers guide video from 10 months ago, the one also from 2 months ago and this video. I would be very interested in real world results of the KO3 versus the other top ones for Snow and such. Here in Eastern South Dakota, so lots of ice, snow pack and deep snow along with road driving and maybe field thick mud. Will the KO3 beat out the Falken and General for snow and all around?
