Masvidal is one of the reasons why I watch MMA. Now, I clown on him for doing this dumb shit. The fact that what Colby said affected Masvidal so much that he commited a crime after the fight made him not only lose once, but twice.

The whole thing just shows how far Colby went into his head. Masvidal just couldn’t deal with Colby clowning him inside and outside the octagon. Although I like Colby, because he genuinely seems to be a really nice guy behind the scenes, sometimes he is going to far with his trashtalk, even if it is just his persona. It’s still hilarious though Hahaha

Most people were genuinely happy for Jorge, finally making big money late in his long career.
I don't think even the loss to Colby would have diminished his star power. Attacking Colby out of the ring was weak.
Colby, although he also faced a trained UFC title challenger, did the right thing retreating into the restaurant. Always try to avoid fighting on the street, especially against multiple attackers.

Always try to insult women and children so that you can get a few more PPV sales. Oh and don't forget to call entire countries of millions of people dumps filthy animals because a sports stadium didn't like you. Yes, Colby is the ultimate victim we all know. He was battered twice by Usman and had his jaw broken, we know. Luckily, the cops dove to his rescue just in time before Jorge broke more than a tooth. Remember, its okay to claim you're Poirier's 5 year old daughter's dad. Completely acceptable and commendable by the de gene rates that worship Colby.
Yet he would always invite the idea of beating Jorge up in the streets vocally in the media, every time he gets a chance to..

I find the whole thing with people supporting Masvidal jumping Colby with a group of his mates sad, since everyone has forgotten what happened to Adesanya's teammate Fau Vake. He gets jumped by 4 guys, it goes beyond a sucker punch, and he dies of his injuries. How else are you meant to interpret him coming attacking him with his mates? I like that you brought it up as an issue that has lead to deaths in Australia and the Adesanya example, because this is the exact sort of shit that people should be condemning.

Here’s the issue:
Colby is a clown and talks too much shit, I love watching him fight but he goes WAY too far with his clownish act talking about people’s wife’s, their wife’s tits, family, personal shit etc..
He had been bullying and picking on Jorge and Dustin for quite some time, talking about very personal things and exposing them to the media.
This is the equivalent of what happened with Chris Rock and Will Smith, Chris has picked on Jada and Clowned the Smith’s one too many times in the past there was momentum behind the slap. He said the Joke and paid the prize…
I’m not defending Will or Jorge both did it wrong, but that could’ve been anyone else you just gotta watch what you say, when you say it and who you say it to. Is a free country SURE, there’s freedom of speech SURE you can talk all the shit you want but that doesn’t mean that someone won’t retaliate or take your comments seriously.
This was a lesson for both men, Jorge needs to stop acting like a street thug he’s a grown man, Colby needs to watch his words people don’t take those insults kindly.
Wasn't big John one of those people who tried to defend Jorge? He has said stupid shit like that before, it seems that old pig needs to live vicariously through these fighters.
Jorge Masvidal's time in the spotlight was a bump in the road ,it knock him into the sky for a second but he was always going back down.

Straight out of Jorge's mouth, "there are levels to this shit". Hes a Journeyman in the sport, not bad, not great but a steppingstone for up incoming fighters. A fighter fans can get behind and be a superstar without having to actually be a contender.

Honestly, no training camp could have prevented Colby's wrestling. He's too far behind, and 37.

I really like how you included the recent influx of sucker punching and I had already forgotten or failed to connect the dots to Israel’s friend recently being killed. He didn’t play his cards right, after the Diaz win he should have done a rematch to keep his aura and most likely would have won yet again, after that maybe fight legends like Nick, Connor fights that would boost him but still very winnable, I respect Jorge for going for the title but he could have had a longer run

To be fair when Jorge got to the top guys in the ufc after changing weight classes, he was already around 34 years old with 40 pro mma fights. I believe he hasn't been in his prime for a while now, he's got a lot of fight mileage

One thing I've always thought ever since the first time I watched Jorge is that he tries a bit too hard to be a showman. He's getting old now and I'd even just say he's washed as well while being less in shape. All that, as well as other controversies you mentioned of course would bring him to his downfall.

What gets me is that Colby NEVER said anything about his kids, he just called him a deadbeat dad. He didn’t attack Colby for his “kids,” he did so because he got dominated for 5 rounds. I used to be a fan even after their fight, but after the assault he only proved Colby right.

The only thing that really matters to most mma fans is winning and even more if you do it in a fancy way if you do that you can do a lot of fucked up shit and people will still watch you look at jon Jones for example so I don't think that the his politics were really an issue for his career (not saying that they should have been)

Great video. Something else worth mentioning is the mocking of Covington for pressing charges (I've also heard he has no decision in the matter on whether charges or pressed or not, so not sure what's the case there) and not scrapping with Masvidal on the street. If you're a professional fighter, humoring Masvidal's attempt at trying to save his ego by having a street fight with him is beyond stupid. Covington just recently proved that he's a better fighter than Masvidal. He doesn't now have to prove that in a street fight where he's outnumbered and being ambushed. Also, Covington has a career in fighting. The dumbest way you can jeopardize that is by getting injured or facing legal issues because you wanted to have an informal pissing contest. Masvidal is a low IQ thug who belongs in jail.
