I have never once had a lefty want to shoot my right handed shotgun. Is there a plate that covers up that gaping hole on the left side?

Looks great. However, swapping a charging handle and a safety bolt does not make it a safe left hand operated shotgun. Incase of malfunction or if the gun ever blows up, the right handed shotgun will expel most of the debris and shrapnel to the right side making it after for the right handed shooter. This one with open slots on each side is safe for neither the right nor the left handed shooters.
