    I too feel your struggles. I am also building the same barracuda from edge. I started to convert everything from metric to standard, and realized the standard measurements were harder to get right then just using metric!!! My advice, USE METRIC!! It takes a bit to get use to, but once you use it for a bit, it's way easier then standard!!! And yes cheaper to buy the parts from edge then build them yourself, I found materials alone cost more then the finished parts!!! Good job so far...Best of luck!!!

      Thanks. Ya it was like crack building the chassis. Lol. I struggle to stay motivated through the monotonous stuff which is honestly most of it. Lol.

    Have you got your parts from the edge yet? I know you were waiting for the rear end.

      I just got them this week....7 months....it was a bit of a unexpected set back. I don't want to talk bad about anyone but I certainly wasn't expecting it to take this long.

    To have the chassis parts Lazer cut was going to coast me over $900 hear in the U.S.A. I can buy them from the edge dune buggy company for less than $ 400 including shipping. Plus, I get the right thickness parts .

    I am ordering my steel this moth to start my Barracuda Buggy. You are right about getting some stuff from him being cheaper than building it yourself. Are you in the U.S.A.? I look forward to your next post Enjoy your build. Be safe !

      Ya. Currently waiting on my parts from him. Ordered them in August. The diff, and most of the laser cut parts. Chassis is still sitting there ready to go. Wish I could get my stuff so I could get the diff and engine in it and start building my header. I guess it will show up one of these days

      That is a long time to wait for parts. I have planned to use a Suzuki TL 1000 s motor. I got a good deal on a complete bike, but I am thinking about changing and try to find a Hayabusa 1300 motor. Will see if I find a good deal, I will buy it and ride it before I take it apart.

      @@jasonmorse3214 ya I have a 12 zxr engine for mine. I kinda wanna build a 2 seater instead of this one. I've had too long to think about it. Lol

      @@black_sheep_fab9411 You could sell the chassis you have made; I am sure and download the X2 buggy. You do not have too much time into it at this point. As far as money goes you would get some back by selling the chassis you made. I have thought about it also, you can take a buddy with you in a two-seater

      @@jasonmorse3214 ya wife mostly. And all the differential stuff is the same between the 2. I still may. I considered selling the one I built but I don't know who would buy it. It's something that is made to plans so would only benefit someone else who wants a mk2

    Standard! Bro everyone uses millimetres except you guys

  • @SylvesterOziomek

    I've never heard anyone complaining about metric system. Next step would be saying that imperial is superior to metric, last channel that tried that was flooded with dislikes (easy to find). Anyway, good luck with your build.

    • @black_sheep_fab9411
      @black_sheep_fab9411  Před 9 měsíci

      I never claimed one is superior to the other. Read into it whatever you want. It's difficult to use one system your entire life and then start over its really nothing more than that.

    • @black_sheep_fab9411
      @black_sheep_fab9411  Před 9 měsíci

      It also creates problems when prints are in metric dimensions but supplies aren't available in metric dimensions.

    • @SylvesterOziomek
      @SylvesterOziomek Před 9 měsíci

      @@black_sheep_fab9411 metric is superior, period. Fun fact ancient pyramids were built using metric system even though it wasn't invented yet. Obviously it's difficult to switch to new system. My country use metric system but it's easier to find imperial tubes for some fucked up reason, yet I decided to use more expensive metric for my project, because I hate imperial system and I refuse to use it.

      @SylvesterOziomek Před 9 měsíci

      @@black_sheep_fab9411 understood but prints are made in system recognised by whole world except US. You guys keep imperial system alive, you cause these problems for yourself.

    • @black_sheep_fab9411
      @black_sheep_fab9411  Před 9 měsíci

      I don't guess I understand how one system is "superior" to another. It's just a language of measurement. Its like saying English is superior to German or Spanish is superior to Russian. Its just different. One is not superior to the other. Precision manufacturing results in using decimals of either system so at that point the whole divisions of 10 is equal for both
