Hellebuyck giving up 10 goals in the first 2 games is something i never imagined. I know the Avs are a high scoring team but man 10 goals. This series is awesome though. It has 7 games written all over it. 6 or 7. Georgiev played well tonight.

JM had a monster game last night. He didn't take his bad performance in game 1 lightly and he came ready to redeem himself. One of the best players on the ice last night for sure. Glad he got on the scoresheet as well.

he is always good... defense played much better today and thats why they won.
He was good in Game #1 too. If you go back and watch the goals that were scored against him, in my opinion, he only let in one bad goal. As for tonight, neither goal was his fault.

However the Jets surprisingly made several uncharacteristic,awful defensive mistakes in both games-I expect to see a different Hellunbuck,& more sound Jet defense this weekend.And I expect it'll most likely be 2-2 after Sunday.Though loser of game 3 will be under big pressure 4 sure.

With that said though we won’t win many games scoring 2 goals, especially vs a high powered team like the Avs. Need to get our 2nd line going and be tougher on you guys in the neutral zone, otherwise McKinnon and Cale will eat us alive, like they do to everyone. Game 3 will be very tough and we gotta show up with our best.

Hot Take - Colorado's goalie had a terrible game 1 and handed the Jets Game 1 on a Silver Platter and Colorado almost came back. Colorado now has the home ice advantage with 3 of the last 5 games at home
@@andrewchapman5659 I don't think Georgie was *that* bad in game 1. There were a couple he definitely should have had, but there were also a couple defensive breakdowns I don't pin on him. And yeah, the Avs are not having any issues scoring at the other end. No worries there. Hopefully they'll win two in Denver and put a stranglehold on the series.
We knew the Avs would bust out sooner or later. Great pursuit. All Georgiev needs to do is give them a little goaltending like tonight and they will ride.

When fans get overconfident about their team, it leads to disappointment. Jets fans were the epitome of this today. This is an even series with both goalies having bad games. We'll see how it fares in Denver on Thursday. Hopefully this is a sign of good things to come for Georgiev and the rollercoaster ride that is the Avalanche blueline.
