  • Locker Nuts episode 588
In the last video, we took a first look at the new locker I purchased from a viewer sight unseen. He contacted me after watching one of our videos, as he was looking for a way to deal with the items he put in storage 6 years ago, before moving to Hawaii. After bringing a van load of boxes back to my storage, it's time to start digging through and seeing what treasures might be hiding inside.
This is part 2 of the "Moved to Hawaii" locker series.

I still cannot get over the fact that this family did not take their possessions to Hawaii. What a great deal you made, Jack. At first, I was skeptical of the potential of this unit, but these people had money and good taste and they liked to shop. I enjoyed parts one and two. Looking forward to part 3 (and 4???) and seeing their furniture. LOL.

Jack I watch your show a lot and wish you would do one about reseller reality. Like, how many hours you average daily incl. driving time. How much did you net the first couple years? If you were starting now what are 3 of things you would prioritize before you do so? I think you are one of the smarter resellers on CZcams. You understand the psychology of selling! Thanks for all you do for your audience!

Jack, embossing powder is used with stamps and a clear embossing ink pad. You stamp the pad and put the image on paper. Then you pour the embossing powder on the image. You use a heat gun to heat up the embossing powder, and it makes a colorful image on paper. It's great! (I love that stamp that says original and handmade.) The Fiskars scissors with the zig zag edges are called pinking shears.

Sprinkle the Embossing powder onto the ink and heat it with a heat tool. Embossing powder is very finely ground plastic. Omnigrid. Top of the line quilting tools. I bet those scissors made in Japan are Kai (pronounced Ki, like Hi). Super expensive.

22:05 That goes with the rotary cutter, the circle thing that's really sharp. And you would hold down the material you're cutting with it, so you can keep your fingers out of the way. And keep the paper or material from shifting. Then underneath you would have a self healing mat. So it doesn't get shredded when you're cutting. But it also doesn't destroy the blade.

That vintage elementary school desk. Without the warp in the corner, you could've made $100.00 easy. You will have no problem selling it for $50.00. Because of the thickness of the steel in the frame, that is from the late 50's to early 60's. That desk is between 60 - 65 years old.
