- This game has a lot of mistakes.....or should I say is one hahahahaha lol memes XD
Just FYI I am mostly making fun of the "story". If you like the gameplay and other stuff that's fine. I'm just pointing out the mistakes of the story~
On suffer level it's just a bland meh Superhero movie. But if you really delve into it, the story is a monument of sh!ty writing, glitchs and hilariously bad animation. I have seen the whole story mode 4 times already, and every time I do I feel like a part of me is lost into the abyss of depression. I still feel like it's not the worst thing in the world...like a meh out of 10. Either way, I still had fun screwing this game up. And hopefully I can finally put this to rest...until Ultimate comes out XD

@@truearea53 man i thought the roster for mvc3 was a little weird at first but definitely got used to a lot of the characters and grew to like them. It’s like they said let’s do an even more off the wall roster and decrease it and see if we get away with that. Plus this actually beat killer instinct and probably kof for ugliest fighting game. All while dbfz literally stole mvc2 entire play style, came out with those stellar arc system graphics, a roster that doesn’t miss a beat and obliterated mvci smh. Capcom needs to learn if it ain’t broke don’t fix it and less is never more in a high pace 2d fighter smh

If Capcom focused on having more characters and better visuals instead of making a fan fiction-y story mode that no one asked for, this game might have been good.
Bennett K I did want the story mode. That’s what we should’ve gotten for MvC3 but I also want better a roster and visuals. The story probably should’ve a visual novel style with occasional cutscenes like how Persona 4 arena did it. Point is a lot of things should’ve been better.

Understandable, the reception isn't the best.
I've played since X-Men vs Street Fighter and still play a lot of them semi-regularly. And just have so many MvC characters in my MUGEN lmao.
But the common theme among most reviews is that while the presentation is ass (I agree, it's an ugly game) the gameplay is a pleasant surprise.
The gameplay actually takes some bold steps with the series and it pays off. I may not even find Infinite's gameplay more "Fun" But I can definitely say that it's more balanced than touch of death combo simulator and it's just more gratifying to win a match imo.
To each their own tho, I hope you try it out because god damn it's good competitvely

Definitely one thing that would have at least made the group ups better. (When most of the roster is there ready to fight) if they let you pick from those characters. It can't be that hard to do a select screen with the character that are there. Wouldn't have minded playing as someone like hulk and cap, ryu and arthur, etc. Wouldn't have saved the story at all but would have at least been better than forcing you to play characters you don't want to play as when there are several others to from

I never played either MVC3 or MVCI. One or two looks at MVC3 and I ended up watching matches and tournaments for that game for a few years. One look at an early match in MVCI and I ditched. So bad.
