Isn't that also what's been implied in DCAU, specifically since Batman Beyond? When Bruce was being planted with a "voice", the fact that the voice call him Bruce instead of Batman is what let him know it's not his inner voice.
"He's twice the man you are!" It's a compliment but could come off as insensitive.

I like there are two personalities for both of their lives. Harvey cares about Bruce Wayne because they’re best friends since childhood, but two face always hated Batman because he ruined his life from the start and accused him for this.
They were BFFs in the Arkhamverse?
@jb_hd It was well known that Bruce liked Harvey and helped his Campaign to become Mayor of Gotham.
Unfortunately, the accident happened before Dent could become Mayor.

@@jb_hd It's always been cannon that they were friends. Though originally Harvey Kent was friends with Batman not Bruce Wayne. And that's not a mistake his name was originally Kent in his first appearance. At the time Batman and Superman did not co-exist in the same universe, in fact there was a Superman movie playing in a movie theater in his comic establishing that he was a fictional character in that universe. His name was changed in Dent in later comics because they didn't want readers to think that Harvey was related to the Kent family after Superman was established to exist in the same continuity. They also changed his relationship so that he was friends with Bruce Wayne rather than Batman because it made more sense for them to be childhood friends than for Harvey to be friends with a guy who dresses like a bat. And depending on continuity they some times change things up so their friendship is far more recent but I think they work best when they have known each other for years.
For as chilling as the first dialogue is, it doesn’t compare to Harvey nearly breaking down saying “You said that we would save Gotham!”
Whoever did the voice work for Two-Face did a really fine job sounding like Richard Moll.

Troy Baker said Richard Moll's performance was the inspiration for his portrayal when he was brought on Batman: Arkham City.
Richard Moll was also the inspiration for Josh Duhammel's acting in the Long Halloween movie. He's that iconic.

Troy Baker’s Two-Face was perfection.
His range is (as usual) impressive
His performance was inspired by Richard Moll's portrayal in BTAS.
The symbolism of Harvey facing penguin as two face and walking away with Harvey dent pointing towards batman is interesting
Harvey and alot of characters are walking tragedies, inspired from Greek and other mythos. It's great writing but fr 2 face is a good man who is just damaged
@izrael820 that's cool I had no Idea it was based off Greek mythology I was just trying to figure out if the two face scene was intentional or a happy accident sense it didn't happen if you caught two face before you revealed that you were bruce
Another cool detail with him is when you are playing the last mission and doing the section where you play as Joker and kill a bunch of people, if you stand and wait around before going through the door to leave Two Face will eventually shoot you claiming how you killed them and he can’t let you pass. Another detail is if you talk to Two Face in the cell when he knows you’re Bruce Wayne Harvey will sometimes say how Gotham doesn’t like good men and he would know with a somber warning towards Bruce and Two Face’s voice doesn’t speak that entire dialogue, it’s only Harvey.

Yeah, I wish the games were overall more character-driven and fleshed out the characters more. Like exploring Batman and Two-Face duality. He could've had a great role in Arkham City as the unofficial prison judge.
I still hope we get an Arkham Origins 2 that's an adaptation of The Long Halloween and shows Harvey, Gordon and Batman's partnership, Dent's downfall exploration of his D.I.D coinciding with the rise of the "freaks".
Shame Two face isn’t explored much outside of the games and comics.
The audio logs are the best you get and you need to do riddler stuff for those.

thatfirst dialog is very similar to the Joker's thoughts on Batman how Bruce Wayne is the mask for Batman not the other way round.There is actually a great episode of batman beyond where a villain is trying to make it seem that old Bruce Wayne has lost his mind by putting a tiny speaker in his ear and uses a voice filter to mimic Bruce's voice and telling him to commit suicide and mess with his head in general and Terry Mcginnis after solving the case asks Bruce how did he know for sure that he wasn't losing his mind and Bruce's response was "because the voice kept calling me Bruce and that's not my name" and Terry says " wait so what is your name then?...oh.... yeah"

Brings to mind the recurring question of what happens to all the concussed henchmen, swordswomen, etc.
A. Asylum: Big B has the whole place nigh to himself after the story. I infer that some thugs regain consciousness and seek escape from the island, and/or perhaps a team of enforcers seek them out for re-incarceration.
A. City: the antagonists just get back up in most cases. (This raises questions on medical attention and their lack of warm clothing. Maybe we'll get into that if this thread gets longer.)
A. Knight: largely same as in the City, but quite a variety of cases. Far as the bank robbers, do the same dudes recover between jobs, or does 2-Fer have one crew per bank?

That whole comment about the face you choose got me thinking. Did Harvey's good half just give in and let bad Harv run the show after his accident? He's clearly still active in Twofaces mind and two halves even converse with each other to a point in Arkham city were Harvey comments on fairness and justice and bad Harvey says screw justice we just want payback/revenge. It seems to me he could at least try to regain control of his life but he's committed to being a monster because of his deformity and split mind state.
well, he makes decisions by coin flip, using a special double heads coin where one of the heads is scratched up to resemble the scarred half of his face, if the undamaged heads comes up he's Harvey Dent, if the damaged heads comes up he's Two-Face, a prime example comes from DC Universe Online, in the villain-side instance where you hunt down Penguin there is a point where Two-Face will flip a coin, if the undamaged heads comes up then the Two-Face goons will be friendly while Harvey Dent says "let's go take down Penguin", if the damaged heads come up they will be aggressive instead as Two-Face shouts "end of the line!"

@@aj_style1745 There's a story called arkham a serious house on serious earth were After Batman spends the entire night in Arkham trying to survive his enemies his fate eventually winds up in Twoface's hand who uses his coin flip to decide Batman's fate. Two says Batman gets to live but it's revealled the coin land burnt side up which usually means death for his victims. So Harvey still at least some control over Twoface. Heck out of all Batman's rogue gallery Harvey might have the best chance at redemption.

1:17 Not gonna lie, but I think this would've been a perfect moment to see both Batman and Two-Face just talking to each other as Bruce Wayne and Harvey Dent respectfully. Showing that, even though fate made them enemies, they two are still best friends. (Assuming that the relationship between them is similar to the BTAS series.)
Yeah but that part there was Two-face talking but if it was Harvey then Bruce would say differently like:
Batman (Bruce): Im sorry Harvey i would have told you I'm Batman all those years ago and maybe you would be the mayor of Gotham and we can save the city together.
Harvey: I really want to forgive you Bruce. But my other half will never stop forgetting this.
Two-Face: Harvey will be feeling guilty about this but if you would save me from Falcone in time I still have my face perfect but no you came too late.
Or something like that.
That would kind of go against the point of the previous dialogue, though. Harvey basically said that the real you is who you choose to become, not who you were born as.
As far as he's concerned, "Bruce" and "Harvey" were gone or maybe never even existed. There are only Batman and Two-Face now.

Harvey will always be one of my favourites in Batman.
A really nice small detail they added in was switching the name of the person talking between Harvey Dent and Two-Face, acknowledging that while they are technically one and the same, they are still very two different people.
I like the dialogue when you capture Penguin the most. Penguin mocking Batman's do not kill rule, only for Batman to go "I'm not feeling myself tonight" and Penguin just turning around and start caring for Batman. A Batman who kills would be the scariest thing in Gotham.
I've gotten used to Troy Baker's batman voice so it's weird hearing his Bruce Wayne voice for when Dents voice kicks in.

Victor Zsasz would have had different dialogue if the main story was complete first. Rocksteady should have kept his side mission.
Troy Baker really gave it his all as Two-Face in these games, especially in Arkham Knight, despite never being treated like one of the main villains of the series.

Another small detail that's pretty neat here is that if Two Face doesnt know Batman's identity, he objects to being called Dent, but he doesn't object when he knows it's Bruce calling him that.

I really love what Harvey has to say to Bruce after he’s unmasked: “I wanted to help people, but Gotham wouldn’t let me. Good men don’t last here Bruce, not when everybody knows who they are.”
It's funny Scarecrow was lucky Joker got himself killed.
They really let Two Face have some of the absolute best writing in this game. I did this the other way around as I always do all side content first before beating a game but on ng+ I did the story first and then the side content, it made it a truly memorable experience and is probably my favorite dialogue in the entire game.

When Harvey knows that his former friend Bruce is Batman thanks to Scarecrow plan that change everything for him. Deep down Harvey has no one else to blame but himself and when Bruce (Batman) didn't say anything by the time that Harvey and Two-face learn the truth about him its because he in the guilty mode that he don't know what to say and he didn't want this to happen to their friendship and Harvey half face burned off.

Wow joker is an a**le. The one we all have in our heads
BATMANS (Bruce Waynes) weakness is his mercy towards those creating more and more destruction, death and negative chaos. He actively protects the Joker and other Criminals from the consequences of their twisted evil actions empowering them to create more individuals they twist into being just as sadistic as their creators. One Death would have ended the cycle (Joker) but Batman never steps up and does what has to be done to end the cycle of SUFFERING. Batman (Bruce Wayne) is the REAL reason Peace never comes to GOTHAM City.
While it is a good homage to Batman tradition, Two-Face is actually mistaken.
The original Harvey Dent was already a conflicted man whose "good" and "evil" aspects were at war with each other. As a politician, no matter his good intentions he was accustomed to acting, lying, compromising, maybe cheating. In response to his trauma, whatever good was in him was stripped away. Now, only the evil is left. Both of his personalities are fake and hollow. They are both the mask and he has to choose which one to wear at all times.
But Bruceman's trauma stripped away his evil and left only good. He never makes compromises or cheats justice. Bruce and Batman are not at war with each other; they are in perfect harmony. Bruce and Batman are one in the same. There is no mask and no choice to make.
Two-Face can never comprehend that. And even if he could, he would only be full of hate and jealousy that he'll never have that.
