    🎯 Key Takeaways for quick navigation:
    00:30 🔌 Victron Energy uses a specific typology to convert DC power to AC voltage in their MultiPlus inverters and charger inverters, maintaining consistency across their product range.
    01:20 🔄 FET power bridges in Victron inverters control the output voltage by changing the switching length of FETs, achieving accurate and stable sine wave output at 20 kHz.
    03:08 ⚡ Transformers boost the low AC voltage (8-10V) generated by the inverter to standard household voltages like 230V or 120V, depending on the application.
    06:42 ↔️ Victron inverters can synchronize with the grid power supply, allowing seamless transfer of power sources and grid assistance. A relay controls the connection.
    09:56 🔄 Victron inverters can also act as battery chargers by regulating their voltage to facilitate battery charging. The charge current is controlled by adjusting the inverter voltage.

    Wow what a brilliant video! I've often opened these devices and peered inside with very little idea what going on in there. I'm not an electronics technician but this was just at the right level for me to understand it. You are a very good teacher. I guess you know that all us cruising sailors love Victron. We need reliable equipment at the end of the earth.

    A+ Must watch for system builders. Especially explaining sizing the inverters for most efficient use. With a walk through efficiency of the FET's that make the sine wave for the inverter at 11:40

    Thank you so much for this.
    Which size inverter can I use for a 136A surge current produced by a 3kW, single phase, 230V induction motor?

    • @JohannesBoonstra-ol2nz
      @JohannesBoonstra-ol2nz Před měsícem

      for a 3kW is a startup of 4-6 x the nominal power needed. Please contact the dealer for more details on models

    My favorite product so far!! Thanks!! How does the AC sync handle an 'eco throttle' generator like a Honda 3K inverter series? When load is added, the engine RPM increases. Will this cause the AC syncs to slip? I'm in the US and use 120VAC @ 60Hz with 12V batteries.

    • @JohannesBoonstra-ol2nz
      @JohannesBoonstra-ol2nz Před 5 měsíci

      there is a setting called dynamic current limiter which has a AC input level variation based on the power over a period.

      the symbol drawn is a thyristor , probably mosfets are used, since they have higher efficiency, therefore stay cooler

    • @JohannesBoonstra-ol2nz
      @JohannesBoonstra-ol2nz Před 29 dny +1

      they are all hybrid, so partly HF and partly LF , mainly for isolation /robustness on peak capabilities . the RS models are all HF only
