Hi Robert, love all your videos, especially product reviews. Could you do a video on how you would prep and apply makeup for mature dehydrated skin? Due to medical conditions my skin is almost always dehydrated no matter what I do so I need help getting the best results from my makeup. Please and Thank you from West Virginia, USA ❤
Some foundations work for some people and don't work for others it isn't a big deal. Just because Robert doesn't like something doesn't mean you should stop using it if you like it and it works for you :)
Nail on the head girl, also I think Wayne Goss himself would admit to preferring the more older fashioned formulas... when I watch his video, his techniques would seem a bit dated to me personally. Just my observation and not saying it wouldn't work on anyone else.
@@EMMYK1916 Yup as a 33years young lady I am not a huge fan of the beauty blender but have gotten my best perfected make up look's using my finger's to apply my make up and using brushes for certain product's. I know my make up technique's are definitely dated but it works best for me and what I am most comfortable with..
Wayne and Robert both rock and everyone’s skin is different. It’s no different than your sister or best friend loving a mascara that just does not work for you but makes their lashes stunning. Every product will not work for everyone, it’s just the way it is…

There's a reason there are so many different foundation formulas, we all have different needs for our skin!

@@ataliemitchell3606 it didn’t work for me either. These type of foundation balms seem really hard to formulate and work with. I tried a few and they all look the same. I don’t know why he tackled this on his first foundation launch , especially targeting older women who don’t want the cakey look. He should have went with something with less coverage and that needs less struggles to apply.

"You know how you find that one blending brush?" YES. My fav blending brush has the saddest looking, paint chipped handle, but the brush is still immaculate. I'll never get rid of it.

We all are rooting for WG makeup brand cuz he is literally the OG makeup artist/youtuber and was on YT from its beginning and most people (including me) , learnt from him . So , most people want his products to work out for them & be hyped about because he deserves recognition for his achievements through the beauty community, but , if the product didn't work for you , then so be it Maybe the skin type & its compatibility with product Maybe the texture isn't the desired one And as you said , i don't want to remember everything details about how to use a product And you really seemed to have tried to like it Don't pressure yourself , it is absolutely fine to have a negative experience regarding a product

One of the things I adore about you is your honesty. You've never been influenced by hype, you've always given your true feelings about products which is why I rely on your opinion to steer me right whenever I'm deciding on what pretty thing to buy. I think your review was very balanced, informative and fair and I appreciate the effort you made to try to get the foundation to work for you. But, as you said yourself, one shouldn't have to work to make products do what they are designed to do (although Ikea would likely disagree).
Also, many times Robert invests his own money and it is okay when he does not like a specific product. As always, Robert was so gracious in his description and experience. Thank you for your transparency and the kindness you always give other creators and products. We love you!!
That acid green next to a fuscia was INSPIRED. I thought you got your hands on a duochrome with a green/violet shift in tones I'd never seen before, and now I'm delighted that I can create a similar look just from my collection. Its STUNNING! Thank you for your honesty! I absolutely love the Wayne Goss foundation. It's been so long since I've regularly worn foundation and this is the most excited I've been about anything like it in so long. Being 37 next month I've found my skin has changed rapidly the last couple of years. I've gone through so many 😭😭😭. Every foundation basically looks on me like how this does on you. Not everything works for everyone and that is perfectly okay. I'm glad that there are so many choices for everyone.
When you looked at the palette, could you hear your entire audience say "he's gonna use purple"? lol Anyway that eye look is so stunning! I tried multiple times to get my hands on that palette...is it back in stock now? Might have to finally check it out!
I started using serum as a primer since watching you and my god my foundation sits so much better. I'm 33 so my skin isn't as elastic as it was in my 20s and I feel like the hydration I get from a serum really helps it sit better than a lot of the pore filling primers out there.
@@tylahoc9271 my absolute favorite is from Fourth Ray Beauty, "Strawberry Face Milk"- gives just enough hydration and plump without OVER hydrating to being greasy/oily. But if I'm really dehydrated or just having a really messy bad skin day I'll use Glow Recipe Dew Drops- but a little goes a long way with those! One pump is almost too much sometimes, so I tend to stick with that at night over during the day.

Review tiiiime with Robert!!🖤🖤🖤 Midway’s: I wasn’t going to buy it bc another influencer gave an equal honest review making me understand this one isn’t for me and as someone who doesn’t have a major budget spending on makeup, honest reviews like this is worth everything since a unfitted foundation can mess up your makeup routine for weeks worst case scenario not having another opinion until next pay check to buy another brand. (I have WG products that I’m very pleased with and know it has a high quality to them, I also know he’s a small business therefore it’s on the pricey side) It breaks my heart that you have to defend yourself, I know I know, Internet but still. Some products simply won’t work with certain skin types, you can’t help that. I do appreciate you tried to make it work in many different ways even if it wasn’t for you in the end. I’m positive that WG would rather you share an honest review.
Got here too early to read comments, but just in time to have your company for lunch. I just find your music for intros and your voice so relaxing. And foundations should not come with manuals, it is supposed to be an intuitive thing to use, like straight out of the tube onto the face
Makeup works differently for everyone especially foundation and concealer. When I'm looking for foundation reviews I always go to youtubers that have similar skin type as me (preferably age too) and I always watch multiple reviews before making. So it's good to be honest about the experience, it helps people make a decision if this is something that could work for them and not waste their time and money. And there is nothing wrong with a respectful, honest opinion. 🖤

Wayne has always seemed like a genuine person who wants to be honest in reviews. I think that’s a big part about why people like his videos & why people like yours. I love Wayne and I have everything he’s sold but after watching his video and seeing how it sat on his skin I thought it just wasn’t for me. Beside I have plenty of foundations to work through now. I have Mikayla’s palette and I really love it. I was lucky enough to order the box set when it first came out. The only down side was the highlighter. It was too light for my skin tone and definitely doesn’t fit everyone. The greens are amazing in that palette

I don’t know why people feel like we all have to agree on everything, especially what we prefer on our skin when everyone’s skin is so different. We’re all allowed to not like a product for ourselves.
This is exactly why I trust your opinion on how any product aheres to 'your skin' Robert. The WG foundation cream must have been so difficult for you to review, but you done it as it was such a popular request. Think it would have been easier to ignore those requests but you didn't and you reviewed it as you would any other brand...with honestity and respect as you always do because your such a genuine gentleman who hates to offend. My favorite blending brush at the moment is from a collab Disney did with Funko, shockingly enough. I don't know who they ordered the brushes through but they're nice. I'm intrigued by the Rose and Ben brushes though because the shape is very different from "standard" brushes. 🖤
@@RobertWelsh yea. There's a couple of different sets. They have the same brushes in the sets just different movie themes. Edit: I didn't realize that they actually put out a whole make up collection to go with the brushes. It all came out in 2019.
You know honestly I was thinking the foundation looked great, but then I was like wait let me change my video quality to the max & now I see the texture you’re talking about. I appreciate the honest review (as always) and suggest everyone to put their video quality on max if you’re referring to video reviews before making purchases. 🤗

I do agree with you that this particular foundation does accentuate some of your skin texture close up, especially when compared to other foundations that have complimented your skin better. While there is nothing wrong with natural skin texture, and I know you know that as well, when you have used foundations that perform better on your skin, there is no reason to hype up a product that does not meet that standard. In my opinion, you are never rude, hostile, shady, or intentionally misleading. I hope no one takes offense even when you don't provide a disclaimer, because I think you are always kind and constructive in your feedback. I tried the new Wane Goss foundation. Like you tried a myriad of ways to make it work. Final thought, I like Wane Goss but not the foundation. I was happy with the powder and blush. I'm glad to see I wasn't the only one who desperately tried to make it work. I will sadly be returning the 3 shades I ordered.

Honesty is absolutely necessary and unfortunately it is usually bullshit. I truly appreciate you being honest. With that being said, what may not work for you may work for me or others and vice-versa and there is absolutely nothing wrong with that. I can't believe I have to thank you for this, but thank you Robert for your honesty. I know there's so much pressure on beauty product reviewers to give positive or negative reviews because of stan culture. I can totally understand why you had to give that disclosure statement before talking about the cream foundation, but honestly you shouldn't have to justify your opinion. I saw the shades and there was no shade that would've worked for me. The undertones were dull and gray on the tan-to-dark shades. And this is supposed to be a full-coverage product. But of course the comment sections on IG of any of the pics regarding this product were filled with stans attacking people for giving constructive criticism on the shades and even displaying full-on microaggressions against POC. Thanks again for your honesty. That's why I watch you.

I feel that way about the good apple foundation. I knew it was going to look like garbage on me and I almost felt bad when it did exactly what I thought it would do. It made oilier and stuck to any little dry bit. I have oily skin and I am sure it looks really good on people with drier skin. There is nothing wrong with the foundation. It's just not for me. I'm not sure why we're supposed to feel bad because something doesn't work for us. It's definitely a thing.

Had you try to push it as I have seen others do to get whatever, knowing to be honest it made you look as is they are about to place you in a casket. I love some things by him, but not this product. i think the Wayne Goss is like the kvd good apple and works better on dryer skin. Some creams don’t work on dry and some don’t work on oily. Some foundations don’t work at all as we all know. Thanks for being honest and showing us.
People who can't understand that not everything works the same for everyone, be it vitamins, hair dye, skin care, etc. don't need to be in this line of work. I'm 100% positive that Wayne would not be offended as he's had the same experiences. I've had this problem with some foundations, it's like it just sits on top of the skin or primer. It doesn't look good on camera, can't imagine how bad it looks in person. It happens. That's why there are so many foundations. I do love the purple and green eyes.
Those shadows look FAB and I love the look you've come up with! The lashes are great too and really finished the look. Personally all I ever want is honesty Robert. Another video that made me smile, thank you :)
I feel just like you about the foundation. I have oily skin and some large pores and the foundation seems to exaggerate them but also doesn't provide the coverage I like, it was too sheer for me. I do really like the powder, though! It's a tie for me between the W.G. powder and the Charlotte T. Setting powder. The W.G. powder looks more natural and the C.T. can look heavy at times.
Got to says i feel so sad when we felt akward talking about the foundation at the end of the day im glad he speaks his mind and if people cant take constructive criticisms then they wont be good in business
I usually can't tell with makeup reviews what the actual influencer sees but my poor Robert I actually see what you mean about the foundation here. It's almost like you painted over a textured wall. Happy Wednesday(probably Thursday for you), Robert! This video reminded me of why I love your content. Not only do you create some of the most stunning looks, you are, not only entertaining, but also honest and thorough in your reviews. My makeup routine (I use the term routine loosely) is very minimalist, but what I love is that when you review products you are so thorough and talk about product features I never would have factored in two years ago. I find that I have become a more conscientious consumer and really think about things like texture, fallout and longevity of wear, and I’m not even going to discuss how my brush game has stepped up. I like that you are always super upfront in your foundation reviews. You always say you skin type, trouble areas and the things you are looking for and then say why you don’t like the product or why you do. It gives us so much more information that way about whether it would work for us and it’s actually not that common for content creators to do that. There is a lot of “this is the best foundation ever” type reviews which tells me basically nothing.

One of the things I adore about you is your honesty. You've never been influenced by hype, you've always given your true feelings about products which is why I rely on your opinion to steer me right whenever I'm deciding on what pretty thing to buy. I think your review was very balanced, informative and fair and I appreciate the effort you made to try to get the foundation to work for you. But, as you said yourself, one shouldn't have to work to make products do what they are designed to do (although Ikea would likely disagree).

I thought you got your hands on a duochrome with a green/violet shift in tones I'd never seen before, and now I'm delighted that I can create a similar look just from my collection. Its STUNNING! Thank you for your honesty! I absolutely love the Wayne Goss foundation. It's been so long since I've regularly worn foundation and this is the most excited I've been about anything like it in so long. Being 37 next month I've found my skin has changed rapidly the last couple of years. I've gone through so many 😭😭😭. Every foundation basically looks on me like how this does on you. Not everything works for everyone and that is perfectly okay. I'm glad that there are so many choices for everyone.

I started using serum as a primer since watching you and my god my foundation sits so much better. I'm 33 so my skin isn't as elastic as it was in my 20s and I feel like the hydration I get from a serum really helps it sit better than a lot of the pore filling primers out there.

@@tylahoc9271 my absolute favorite is from Fourth Ray Beauty, "Strawberry Face Milk"- gives just enough hydration and plump without OVER hydrating to being greasy/oily. But if I'm really dehydrated or just having a really messy bad skin day I'll use Glow Recipe Dew Drops- but a little goes a long way with those! One pump is almost too much sometimes, so I tend to stick with that at night over during the day.

I wasn’t going to buy it bc another influencer gave an equal honest review making me understand this one isn’t for me and as someone who doesn’t have a major budget spending on makeup, honest reviews like this is worth everything since a unfitted foundation can mess up your makeup routine for weeks worst case scenario not having another opinion until next pay check to buy another brand.
(I have WG products that I’m very pleased with and know it has a high quality to them, I also know he’s a small business therefore it’s on the pricey side)

Got here too early to read comments, but just in time to have your company for lunch. I just find your music for intros and your voice so relaxing. And foundations should not come with manuals, it is supposed to be an intuitive thing to use, like straight out of the tube onto the face
Makeup works differently for everyone especially foundation and concealer. When I'm looking for foundation reviews I always go to youtubers that have similar skin type as me (preferably age too) and I always watch multiple reviews before making. So it's good to be honest about the experience, it helps people make a decision if this is something that could work for them and not waste their time and money. And there is nothing wrong with a respectful, honest opinion. 🖤

I have Mikayla’s palette and I really love it. I was lucky enough to order the box set when it first came out. The only down side was the highlighter. It was too light for my skin tone and definitely doesn’t fit everyone. The greens are amazing in that palette

My favorite blending brush at the moment is from a collab Disney did with Funko, shockingly enough. I don't know who they ordered the brushes through but they're nice. I'm intrigued by the Rose and Ben brushes though because the shape is very different from "standard" brushes. 🖤

Edit: I didn't realize that they actually put out a whole make up collection to go with the brushes. It all came out in 2019.

I do agree with you that this particular foundation does accentuate some of your skin texture close up, especially when compared to other foundations that have complimented your skin better. While there is nothing wrong with natural skin texture, and I know you know that as well, when you have used foundations that perform better on your skin, there is no reason to hype up a product that does not meet that standard.
In my opinion, you are never rude, hostile, shady, or intentionally misleading. I hope no one takes offense even when you don't provide a disclaimer, because I think you are always kind and constructive in your feedback. That's why I'm a member and happy to support you in any way I can.

I tried the new Wane Goss foundation. Like you tried a myriad of ways to make it work. Final thought, I like Wane Goss but not the foundation. I was happy with the powder and blush. I'm glad to see I wasn't the only one who desperately tried to make it work. I will sadly be returning the 3 shades I ordered.

Honesty is absolutely necessary and unfortunately it is usually bullshit. I truly appreciate you being honest. With that being said, what may not work for you may work for me or others and vice-versa and there is absolutely nothing wrong with that. I can't believe I have to thank you for this, but thank you Robert for your honesty. I know there's so much pressure on beauty product reviewers to give positive or negative reviews because of stan culture. I can totally understand why you had to give that disclosure statement before talking about the cream foundation, but honestly you shouldn't have to justify your opinion. I saw the shades and there was no shade that would've worked for me. The undertones were dull and gray on the tan-to-dark shades. And this is supposed to be a full-coverage product. But of course the comment sections on IG of any of the pics regarding this product were filled with stans attacking people for giving constructive criticism on the shades and even displaying full-on microaggressions against POC. Thanks again for your honesty. That's why I watch you.

I felt the same way about the Fenty foundations. I tried multiple ways to prep and apply, but both foundations just looked so cakey on me🥲 but then I wanted to like them so bad because everybody was in love with them, but I had to come to terms that they were just a miss for me🥺
I felt the same way about Clinique Double Wear foundation. I threw the bottle away after a couple of weeks. It looked awful on me.

I feel that way about the good apple foundation. I knew it was going to look like garbage on me and I almost felt bad when it did exactly what I thought it would do. It made oilier and stuck to any little dry bit. I have oily skin and I am sure it looks really good on people with drier skin. There is nothing wrong with the foundation. It's just not for me. I'm not sure why we're supposed to feel bad because something doesn't work for us. It's definitely a thing.

I am so grateful to you for being honest. And hearing you be honest without trying to berate WG, is highly respected. Had you try to push it as I have seen others do to get whatever, knowing to be honest it made you look as is they are about to place you in a casket. I love some things by him, but not this product. And had I seen it first maybe I would not have asked my husband to buy it for a gift for me. Heck I love PS, products, but his wipes 2 packets later, The size is great, but both packets were dry as heck. However, thank you for honesty. It makes me have so much respect for you.

i think the Wayne Goss is like the kvd good apple and works better on dryer skin. Some creams don’t work on dry and some don’t work on oily. Some foundations don’t work at all as we all know. Thanks for being honest and showing us.
People who can't understand that not everything works the same for everyone, be it vitamins, hair dye, skin care, etc. don't need to be in this line of work. I've had this problem with some foundations, it's like it just sits on top of the skin or primer. It doesn't look good on camera, can't imagine how bad it looks in person. It happens. That's why there are so many foundations. I do love the purple and green eyes.

I feel just like you about the foundation. I have oily skin and some large pores and the foundation seems to exaggerate them but also doesn't provide the coverage I like, it was too sheer for me. I do really like the powder, though! It's a tie for me between the W.G. powder and the Charlotte T. Setting powder. The W.G. powder looks more natural and the C.T. can look heavy at times.

Happy Wednesday(probably Thursday for you), Robert! This video reminded me of why I love your content. Not only do you create some of the most stunning looks, you are, not only entertaining, but also honest and thorough in your reviews. My makeup routine (I use the term routine loosely) is very minimalist, but what I love is that when you review products you are so thorough and talk about product features I never would have factored in two years ago. I find that I have become a more conscientious consumer and really think about things like texture, fallout and longevity of wear, and I’m not even going to discuss how my brush game has stepped up. I like that you are always super upfront in your foundation reviews. You always say you skin type, trouble areas and the things you are looking for and then say why you don’t like the product or why you do. It gives us so much more information that way about whether it would work for us and it’s actually not that common for content creators to do that. There is a lot of “this is the best foundation ever” type reviews which tells me basically nothing.
