- The PacCon acapella community choir is based in Porirua NZ which incorporates Pacific music, culture and tradition. The PacCon whānau wanted to learn and perform a Maori waiataringa (action song) and this is the result.
This performance is part of a set performed at the Friends and Family night at Whitireia Polytechnic, November 2020.
Jolie Davis (playing the guitar in this video) is a traditional practitioner of Mirimiri and Romiromi (Māori healing and bodywork), based in Porirua, NZ. LOVE THIS SONG AND ALSO MY DAD LOVE mori
Music to my ears 😊
Absolutely joyful.
Kia kite atu i tō iwi e (pour voir votre peuple)
I tō ataahua ai kanapa (Votre beauté qui y brille)
Wonderful
Love this so much

Coming back home from your travels and dancing for your people because you're happy to be home. Is the basic jist of it.
What is this so about
Song*
my maori teacher told me it’s about a man coming back from war missing his homeland & culture and seeing his people again. online it says something else but im sure his interpretation was correct
