Very well illustrated with excellent narration. It can't be made any simpler. With your instructions, even a layman could replace the battery confidently. Keep up the good work. Cheers

Hi, have you any idea why my laptop literally shuts and battery turns 0% (It happened twice, once whilst near full charge and the other times at 30%)?? @@ItsBinhRepaired
Faulty battery
Thank you. I have requested a refund. Going to buy again from Amazon and hoping this time it will work. @@ItsBinhRepaired

@@ItsBinhRepaired have you any videos on the ssd upgrade ? I’ll sub now. I’m trying to grow my channel as well so I understand 😉
@@CyclingwithRuss create a time machine backup, then peel the tape and pull it out. Not sure if I have a video.
The SSD is only held in with 2 screws. I think there's a pcie adapter as well to use one of the smaller m.2 SSDs.
Thank you for this very demonstrated video. I did however pierce my battery twice while removing it, the adhesive was just so ridiculously strong. But it should be fine
Glad you were able to safely remove it. Be careful because the fumes are toxic and if you throw it in the trash it could light on fire.
Great tutorial super informative and good camera work. keep it up man 🤙

good video man, worked perfectly after. hope your neighborhood is okay lol, sounded like a war out there
Hahaha Yup That was pretty loud. The return fire was missing. Lol
Did you see the car crash video?
Thanks a lot for this video! Removing the old battery was a pain. I punched two holes in it with my battery-removal-tool (a cake server; the metal iFixit-gear wasn't long enough), which resulted in a chemical smell. But in the end I managed to replace my battery successfully. The steps are very clear, the additional information is very helpful as well. My MacBook is up and running now with a fresh juice. Thanks!

Glad you liked it. Hope you can find someone to do it.
@@ItsBinhRepaired is there any kind of "offial repair tools kit" from mac?
@@sebaluraghi no, Apple doesn't sell tools or parts to their customers.
thanks for the great explanation.
I just installed on my macbook pro a1708 the battery, I plugged in the charger and did the resets of PRAM and SMC.
When I switched on the laptop the battery was showing the charge of 69%, then I removed the charger and the screen turned black and the laptop is not switching on anymore.
Any idea what might be wrong?
Double check the ribbon cable. It needs to go in all the way. Just a tiny bit of the gold will show.
Great video. Could you please tell me where I can buy the batteries from? I'm based in the UK and Apple don't sell the batteries to customers. Thank you.
Not sure here in the US though amzn.to/3WogcfG
do you know a website or battery brand where can find a good replacement battery for this macbook pro, thanks

@@ItsBinhRepaired can you make a video on how to fix a trackpad that doesn't click? My mum's MacBook has this issue and I'm trying to get it fixed for her
Depends on the model. Usually a bad trackpad, an inflated battery, bad trackpad cable, or in models without the motor the screw for the clicker might be too tight or too loose.
what is your job because it seems really cool
It's exactly what you watched. Lol
Love the zooming!
Thanks! :)
great video. thanks!
Glad you liked it!
Good and fine job :)
Thanks
Such an excellent tutorial. But is there a reason the replacement battery model is for an A1713 when the model is an A1708? Thanks
A1713 is the battery model number
The tool… is a cake icing spatula.
Looks like one, but it's much thinner. The tool I use is thinner than a piece of paper.
What would you check next if the trackpad is unresponsive despite replacing it and the ribbon entirely? It apparently stopped working when the battery was replaced (not by me).
Check the connection obviously, only other thing is to replace them. There's no magic.
Hellooo, thank you for the video! I have a question though. After putting the batter in, my computer turned on, showing 1%-which was great-so I let it continue charging for the time stated on the instructions I received with the battery. However, after waiting a while, I noticed the battery bar in the top right corner was no longer there, despite the fact in settings it says it is. Furthermore, the second I unplug the computer, it shuts down-even though it was charged for quite a while. I am very confused and slightly freaking out-do you know what might have caused this? I know it's probably a problem regarding what I did, but I have no clue what that may be.
Sounds like you didn't connect the ribbon cable or the metal tab properly. Double check the connections. If still not working, the battery might be defective.
@@ItsBinhRepaired Ok, I'll definitely check that-thank you.
@@person5052 hope it works
Had this problem, checked the cables again and reinserted them, problem solved. Thanks sir for the advice
Awesome!
Doesn't that round ended metal tool scratch the MacBook pro?
Not really, but if it does, it's under the battery, which will never be seen.
Where did you buy the battery from?
Amazon. This will work amzn.to/3cpbdWo
Mine says - Battery is not charging (stuck on 18%)
Double check the small ribbon cable.
@@ItsBinhRepaired it connected properly though
@@ItsBinhRepaired it’s connected properly though
Might be a bad battery. Does it drain below 18%?
Likely bad battery
bro the battery catches a little of fire when i cut the adhesive, should i use another tool?
You're not supposed to cut. What are you using?
@@ItsBinhRepaired um i mean by slicing like what you did on the tutorial, i used something like a ruler (already done the otherside safely but not with this right side). Gonna bought the plastic tool for slicing it, will it be okay if i continue?
@Fajri Siddiq you should not be slicing! Only use a thin flexible tool to push under the battery. Do not slice!
@@ItsBinhRepaired eh yes sorry im not slicing it i just did like you did but maybe the tool isnt thin enough.. when then thin tool arrived can i still continue the process? or can you tell me what parameter i need to pay so it wouldn't catch on fire again / maybe explode
I hate how CZcams doesn't notify me of replies. Were you able to figure it out? You can still get it out the same way.
That big fat screw is stuck and my MacBook screwdriver can't get it off
You need a good quality t5 screwdriver amzn.to/3HCGTot
GUN SHOTS?!
I dunno, sounded like it.
