What is VPN and how it works
VPN, or Virtual Private Network, allows you to create a secure connection to another network over the Internet. VPN can be used to access restricted or blocked websites, browse Internet anonymously and securely, you can also hide your original IP address and location with free VPN

Steps to use free VPN service to change your public IP address, or hide your original IP and hide location:
Go to Start, Settings. Choose Network & Internet, in the Settings window, Click on VPN button.
Click on Add a VPN connection icon to add new VPN connection, fill all info for a new VPN connection:
VPN provider: Choose Windows (built-in)
Connection name: enter any name you want
Server name or address: Enter VPN server name or VPN IP address, which how can find on this link:

Go to L2TP/IPsec
From list, private free VPN servers, choose any country you want.
copy IP address, go back to your VPN connection window and paste VPN IP address to the Server name field.
VPN type: Automatic, leave it by default
Type of sign-in info: User name and password, leave it by default
Enter user name and password, both of them are vpn
Done, click save to create new VPN connection.
You can check or edit VPN details, at any time
Go to Your VPN connection and click Advanced options, there you can find all your VPN settings.
Connect to VPN: Go to computer icon, right click on it, Open Network and Internet Settings, click on Ethernet, under Related setting click on Change adapter options, Right click on your VPN connection and click connect, on right side VPN connection window pop up, click connect to turn on VPN.
Check your Public IP address:
whatismyipaddress.com
If you want to disconnect from VPN or remove it, just go back to Windows settings, VPN, click on your VPN connection, then disconnect and remove it.

@@dapanda2837 Hi, here is a solution for your problem👌, remove existing VPN and create a new VPN connection, options choose the same except ✅VPN type, change Automatic to ✅L2TP/IPsec with pre-shared key and in ✅Pre-shared key field type ✅vpn, then try to connect.
Or you can change these options from your VPN Connection properties 👀 ⏩ 2:55, it's up to you.

No, but if you make a hospot on ur laptop that connected to the router and has been set up with vpn, then u just connect to the hospot on ur laptop,then ur ip phone will be same as ur laptop ip

Of course, cable connection is better than WIFI but speed will be lower then usually if you want fast VPN you should buy it, nut if you want VPN for just browsing the best for me is "cyber ghost" just install the extension on Chrom or Firefox and you also can try this method there you can find more servers just play with that and you will find the normal speed for your country:

Well, I messed my computer up by putting in any numbers so I can just change the ip address. Now I have no Internet access. If I purchase a new computer will that help and be sure the old ip address is forever gone?

Hi, It's a big question, you can do a lot, example if a hacker knows your IP address he can access your router and take control your network, so it's a good idea to be safe and hide your real public IP.
So if you already know that untrusted person knows your IP address you can restrict remote access to your router. it's can be done by going to your router and turn on firewall or SPI (Stateful Packet Inspection) or ACL (Access control lists) options that can protect your router by accessing remotely
