Alright, this has bothered me since I saw the demo on their site... I felt like I couldn't be the only one. Josh talks about how he distilled it down to 3 coins, but then there is a 4 coin stack? So confusing. If this is a subtly that wouldn't be seen in a real performance then I understand, but it is so clear in the demo that I thought maybe I was going crazy.
@@JackPaulEvans1978 I watched this with a non-magician friend. His reaction was to frown and ask me to wind back. People do notice four coins instead of three. Why introduce a risk factor for the sake of a 'convincer' that shouldn't be needed?
Hmmm... Came to this after watching Eric Mead on Penn and Teller's Fool Us. There I felt I was genuinely watching a classic of magic. Here I was constantly distracted by thoughts like 'why is that note staying rolled up?', 'where did that extra coin come from?' and 'why does he act like I should be impressed when he puts a ring on his finger?' I've enjoyed his other stuff but this just didn't connect with me. Odd decision to perform three quarters silent then start speaking part way through.
And no coins are going to vanish like that :) And no one understands what a leather "cylinder" is. Your point is addressed in detail in the download. You don't have to use the dollar like Josh does if it feels wrong to you.
@@VanishingIncMagic but the coins vanishing is part of the trick. The dollar bill staying rolled up isn't. This routine is full of distractions and niggles.

I own this kit. Worth every cent. Having said that you don't have to use 4 coins. He just likes to do a convincer. 3 Coins is an option.
