    Thanks, Jim. I am curios which R129 model years this works on. I cannot find that information on their website or anywhere else on the internet. Could you scroll to R129 and see if it lists the 1995 model? Thanks.

      Hello, yes it does, there are two options - SL (129)
      Up to 08/1999 and
      As of 09/1999
      Scan tool software version is on V12.60
      (Using their updating tool from their website).
      Hope this helps.
      I might do a vid going through all models that are supported.

    Hi Jim I just bought this for my W 210 1999 e300td which has a Bas/Abs light intermittently come on. Mainly happens on longer runs. However when I plug the MB V1 in and go to the Brake Assist control unit it says 'Not Fitted'. Am I looking in the wrong place to see what the ABS system is up to. It doesn't seem to be in the ESP unit?

      Sorry for the late reply, mine is on firmware 12.60, then select model, ABS - traction systems, then read codes, if that’s doesn’t work make sure the pins on car side are clean as mine had slight corrosion, also maybe try it with the car running, don’t know if this helps but I’ve not had a problem yet.

      @@jimyl77 thanks for getting back to me. My software is on version 34.31and I enter E210 e300td post 3/97 but ABS is not then listed in the Control unit list, Are you entering the same vehicle data in your software version? Maybe I need to get hold of some old software! Thank you

      @@nigel8470 That seems strange, as just been on icarsoft site and its showing latest version is 12.60, and mine is showing ABS - Traction system in the list, I have a E430 but shouldnt make a difference

    Hi Jim. What was the fault in the end with your car?

    • @jimyl77
      @jimyl77  Před 3 měsíci +1

      I originally bout the scanner because my ABS, BAS and ESP light would stay on most of the time and nearing mot time, turned out to be the steering angle sensor.

      @@bernardwarr4187 yes, I ran it more than once over a couple of days and kept coming up with steering angle sensor, along with a code that I can’t quite remember.

    If I buy that adaptor, it'll work on any scan tool or just iCarsoft scanner?

    • @jimyl77
      @jimyl77  Před 6 měsíci

      It didn’t work on a cheap scan tool I had, but may work with others possibly

    • @RuudyL

      The adapter has a chip in it that only works on iCarsoft. Also look out for iCarsoft clone adapters, they look like the real thing but miss the chip and wont work
