    To print the manual pages you should be able to use the 'print screen' feature (on Windows 10, anyway) Look for 'snipping tool'. Good channel! Appreciate your doing this.

      @@BlueADV214 I use davinci resolve free to edit & upload my videos (unlisted for friends & family) it has a great feature to export directly to a good CZcams format so the end result doesn't end too compressed by yt algorithms . The downside is that for a ~40min of 4k video it can use about ~100gb of disk (but you can delete that after upload); 1080p would be about 1/3 of that size afair.

    Liked, subscribed, and saved! Recently purchased a slightly used 21. I still have 10K miles to go before it's due the adjustment so I have time to consider doing the work myself, or paying the dealer $800. I've owned used BMWs R1200 (06 GS, 17 GSA), and I havent paid for a valve check/adjustment in 10 years. I ride about 10K a year so this will be an annual thing for me. Glad to have found your series. Thanks!!
    PS: I run a full Mosko rig for my trips...I have OM racks and mounted the plates but havent loaded up the Tiger yet...how's she handle the load you carried into DV?

    • @BlueADV214

      You will love the Tiger. It’s a great bike. The Mosko setup is great and doesn’t really change the overall feel of the bike when loaded. I recently added a Mosko duffle to load up on top and took that setup through Mendocino BDT Lost Coast Trail, Six Rivers BDT and more on a multi day trip… they all worked great and kept out the silt, rain, mud, etc.

    I’ve been watching this series. Is there anyway Triumph could make disassembly for service any harder and more complicated? And to have to do this every 12,000 miles? It makes my GSA 1200 and my HD Roadking simple by comparison. I bet a dealer would charge over $1200 to do the 12K service.

    First thanks again for such helpful video’s I know it’s a Silly question but here it goes I assume you siphon the gas out and then run the engine until it runs out of fuel. I have removed a gas tank before but never on a fuel injected bike I just drained the fuel at the Petcock Thanks

    • @BlueADV214
      @BlueADV214  Před rokem

      Nope, left the gas in. A little will trickle out when you disconnect lines, but it’s not going to free-flow.

    Hi! I just removed the tank following the official instructions but when I put it back in I'm getting a warning in the display about low level fuel (0km). Like the sensor is not working properly but I'm 200% sure I made everything backwards following the installation process. Did you get this error?

    • @BlueADV214
      @BlueADV214  Před 2 lety +1

      Assuming you got the plugs seated properly, it could take a few minutes of running the engine for it to read the fuel level. Kind of like how when you fill up it doesn’t register right away.

  • @jerrymorales6501
    @jerrymorales6501 Před rokem

    Thanks for the great tutorial. I am in the process of installing heated grips and lo and behold the tank has to be removed. Sux. quick question. Do you have to crank the engine before removing the fuel line? Also, did you reconnect both cables to the tank before cranking the engine? As far as installing the heated grips. Its a bit dissapointing because for the Tiger 660 the power connector is on the side of the bike alleviating the need to remove the tank. I have tried to look for the power connector by just tilting the gas tank, but have not been able to find it. So the next step is to remove the tank so I can find the power connector. I don't know how much they charge to install the heated grips, but having to remove the tank to connect them is tedious. TIA

    • @BlueADV214
      @BlueADV214  Před rokem +1

      My bike had been sitting a while and don’t think I had to crank the engine to relieve pressure, but the fuel line did have to be pushed on, hold the release, then pull the line off. When reinstalling the cables to tank, make sure they are on all the way or you may loose the fuel level or pump.
      My bike came with heated grips… don’t know where they are connected. Hopefully your parts came with directions. If not, go to triumphtechnicalinformation.com and see if there’s a process that can guide you.

      @@BlueADV214 thanks. I Found the connector. It's on the left side of the bike towards the front. Just when i thought i was done with the hard stuff. Running the wire to the grips was insane. Can't believe triumph put a hole on the left side and both left and right cables have to be run through there. Had to use a coat hanger to run the cable through the inside of the handlebar. I cannot believe triumph did not put a hole in the right handlebar to make it easier. The fun continues. Thanks for the quick response.

      @@jerrymorales6501 I'm in the process of removing the OEM heated grips (they're non-working) to replace with aftermarket ones. I have the OEM grips off and the wires pulled out of the handlebar, but how hard is it to remove the other end of the wiring harness from this front left location you mentioned? Do I need to remove the tank to get to the connector?

      @jerrymorales6501 Před 10 měsíci

      @michaelb9786 unfortunately you do. My hands were not small enough to get to the harness. Very frustrating as one you do. It's easy to disconnect. Especially when compared to a 660. I don't know what triumph was thinking.
