Cash Till Thief

This thief walked into the Sherlock Holmes Museum souvenir shop in London on 9th September 2011 and helped himself to money from the till while a member of staff was assisting customers.
The museum will be pleased to make a £1,000 donation to the Metropolitan Police Widows and Orphans Fund for any information which results in the arrest and charging of this suspect.
It is likely that he has carried out similar crimes at other premises, but an early arrest is anticipated and it is hoped he will soon be detained at Her Majesty's Pleasure.
UPDATE: The suspect has now been identified as Charles Odju. He was arrested and sentenced to 8 months imprisonment for this offence. A £1,000 donation was made to the Metropolitan Police Widows and Orphans Fund as a result of the capture.

Sometimes employees have to attend to other duties away from the cash register. Quit blaming the victim and start blaming the guilty scumbag who stole the money.

He leaned down to see if the cash register had a small metal slide underneath it, just lift the cash register a little and pull on small metal slide then at the same moment hold the cash drawer so it doesn't make a bell sound, he's done this before.🤔

The only thing that looked suspicious to me was the way he was looking around. Not looking at stuff-looking to see if anyone is looking at him!
