Sanga's cover drives are one of a kind.. so elegant and perfectly executed..
Yeh
Naah.
@@vivekiyer9062 miles ahead of tendhulkhar in execution
@@vivekiyer9062 welcome to australia.., indaiyan
I am myself a srilankan and without any bias I also think that sanga's cover drive is the best
Whenever lefty batters were remembered ;
Brian lara always top.
Pure class
Classic touch
Full of temperament
Nice behavior.
MARNUS is a Right handed BATSMAN
David Gower is the best left hander.
Adam Gilchrist is my top.
@@prasantrath8045 Brian Lara hold my bat.
De kock, ben stokes also
Tendulkar's straight drive was the last and final phase in the evolution of that shot ❤️
You can see why Marnus is such a complete player already. Such a methodical approach to building the perfect batsman. Future legend for sure!
Even the arrow should be shy in front of Sachin's Straight Drive.
Pure Class 💯
Kevin Pietersen was really a gem for England
Just another South African the Englishmen stole...
@@donbradman612 Jason Roy , Andrew Strauss , Jonathan Trott , Curran Brother's and Many more...have served the English cricket..even the best coaches of India..Alan and Gary were South Africans and Kepler Weseels too played for Australia.. Really South Africa Served the world Cricket a lot

What about Lara? 😂Perhaps the greatest fast hander of all time, his bat swing, cover drives etc gave goosebumps
@Dhruv Saxena lara was a aggresive player ok
He doesn’t care about your opinion
@Dhruv Saxena yes I know brother
I think it's his choice .
His late cut and sweep 🧹
Every shot Brian Lara played was class, elegant. He was mostly ferocious vs the spinners. Destructive when in his groove
There is no better, pure cover driver of the cricket ball than Sangakkara..
Yeah boyyy 💯
Babar azam
@@Password201 Not cover drive bro. Maybe back foot punch through point 🔥🔥
@@Password201 Pakistani spotted
Virat is better
As a lefty he could've added Lara's strokeplay and domination against spin!!
Defence of dravid .. flamboyance of lara ❤️❤️😃
Marnie is such a ball of sunshine. Love him.
Marnus Said Sachin, Langer, Hussey, Sangakkara , cook etc...he likes to watch and not included lara but they all are huge fans of Lara's style.
Langer- If I have to pay to watch someone, it would be lara
Sangakkara- I would give all my runs away if I can bat like lara
Hussey- I just wanna to drop his catch so that he can carry on longer at the crease and it's just beautiful sight to watch him.
Sachin- I love to have lara's flair. Aggressive nature, high back lift and lara as package is something special.
Cook for a particular matchLara scored a century in between lunch and tea and I have witnessed another level of batsmanship. He is a Genius at work
Kallis- Lara can control the game, can attack and can defend. Best batsman I have bowled to.
Marnus might not have seen lara much. Its his opinion. Everyone has their opinion. But people who know lara never deny the fact watching him is one of the beautiful sights in cricket.
A man that knows his cricket .
What about Gilchrist?? He was an amazing left hander, rocks balls out for sixes.
Lara>Gilchrist
@@ishaan6426 well obviously, Lara was a specialist batsman not Gilly.
Oh Yes, he picked Hayden for 3 things but missed out Gilly! That was quite surprising.
I personally enjoyed watching Gilly more than Hayden.
For aggression I would have gone to Gilli instead of Haydos..and I feel Lara should have been there too somewhere
Marcus Trescothick, Graeme Smith, Chris Rogers
Pietersen was just outstanding, I don't hv words to describe him complete swagger, best cricketer to come out of England alongwith Cook nd Root. it's sad that he didn't play longer nd was disrespected by English board
Sourav Gangly’s cover drive and square drive is just pleasing to the eyes

Straight Drive : Tendulkar
Cover drive : Kohli

I like how whenever such videos are posted, experts pop up in the comments with players not mentioned as if cricket nerd like Marnus clearly doesn’t know the players you lot are mentioning😂.
Yeah especially they put in a bunch of unknown indaiyans marnus might've never in life have heard of even lol
Like how he did lefty and righty separate. Proper nuffy
Perfect comment
Considering the bowler's friendly pitches in 90s and early 20s, the quality fast bowlers he faced, the expectations of a billion people he carried SACHIN TENDULKAR is the perfect BATSMAN of all time 💯💯💯🥇
2000s pitches weren't as difficult as in the 1990s... In fact the pitches since 2017 have been very difficult in test cricket... With the exception of Aus, Eng, NZ & SA bowling attacks have been better in 2010s than they were in 2000s...
@@abhishekn9871 yes pitches in tests last few years have become difficult or may be batting has become t20 focused. One of these.
@@parthsavyasachi9348 I think it's been a mix of both... But if u see bowling attacks of Eng, NZ & SA have all been better in 2010s than in 2000s... Nowadays batting in SENA in test cricket for Asian batsmen is very difficult...
@@abhishekn9871 yes very much.
Test cricket has been much harder over the past decade than during the 2000s or the 90s... Test match batting has never been as challenging as it is today.. It's very easy to give in to nostalgia bias and say todays batsmen have it easy hut that's isn't true one bit.. Yes, white ball batting today is much easier because the game has evolved in that direction.. However, test match batting has become more and more challenging.. This is a statistical fact.. In fact 2018 was the worst year for batsman and the best year for fast bowlers in terms of average and strike rate since 1963.. It was also the best year in terms of degree of swing and seam over the last 5 decades..
The god of cricket the great Sachin Tendulkar there was a time when he gets out whole India switched off their TV's u will be forever missed legend❤️
King kohli and god of cricket Tendulkar.. 😍😍🔥👏🇮🇳
when I read the tittle I was pretty sure that Smith is one of them
he will even add Smith in a perfect bolwer list 🤣
Kumar sangakara perfect class cover drive 🔥
Marnus is a good batsman
All these guys saying Brain Lara - the kid is 27! I love that he didn't pretend to know how great Lara was and went with the guys HE grew up watching. Numpties.
Spot on with the list 🔥🔥all the best from india
In modern era one thing you can get from root that is strike rotation and always busy in scoring also he is far better player of spin
He can score on turning track as well as seam and swing condition and also bouncy track
Only problem with him converting those fifty in hundreds
Although he has 25 hundred and more than 52 score of fifty
Joe root
That's cool
Not a single shot of Lara, i mean he is arguably the greatest left hander to ever play the test cricket, his cover drives, square cuts, pulls were just amazing.
Perfect choices by Marnus
Sanjay Manjrekar's running between the wickets
@@milangarg93 😅😅😅😅

Did you froget sangakkara
@Tanishq Desai 😂😂😂😂😂
Best of all, not just the left handers.., best batsman after bradman
not just the best left hand batsman but the best batsman altogether!
He missed Wajahtulla Wasti and Akash Chopra. Other than that all are perfect choices.
Chopra is indian Don bradman
@@beefcake502 🤣🤣
I would love him in Pakistan team ..wajahat wasti 😂😂
Don't compare chutad chopra with Wajahtullah Wasti, wasti hit 114 in semifinal wc 99 against Nz
Akash Chopra. This comment should go to him. He will think he's got supreme award
Sachin's paddle sweep. Nobody hits better and finer than Sachin. Also Ganguly's ability to find gaps in cover . Dravid's defence, Laxman's wristy shots, Gilly's sweep shots,
He went with the eye pleasing shots, non of the indaiyans have eye pleasing shots

You are clearly an indian biased fan...He was talking about his perfect batter.not India's perfect batter.
@@eric8783 virat flick cover drive
@anirbanchakraborty1464 Apart from Sachin and Virat, none of the Indians had eye catching signature shots. Dravid had a very good defence though.
Marnus: my perfect batter
Me: you’re the perfect batter
Gotta agree. At the moment Marnus is on top of the world.
Love this series! Do josh Hazelwood and his perfect bowler
Sachin Tendulkar's straight drive is the best shot ever!!!!
Most of the people don’t mention Sachin’s backfoot punch . No body played it perfect and forgot to mention leg glance shot
He can play that backfoot punch even at this age...No body comes close to him while playing that punch..very few times i have seen some batsmen playing that shot..drvaid nd sehwag ..but sachin can walk nd play that shot anywhere anytime..
You better stop watching just your indaiyan cricket videos on YT and start watching players from all over the world
@@eric8783 ya whatever

Straight Drive - Sachin
Leg Glance/Flick- Laxman
Pull Shot- Ricky Ponting
Cut Shot- Joe Root
Aggression- Viv Richards
Defence- Rahul Dravid
How can you forget sanat jausuriya flick shot 😎.
Tendulkar.. 😍😍🔥
He should have included jaywardane or Williamson against the spin
Theri dominance is pure class

No offence, Your whole name is unique.
What a nice guy. Top player too.
He is all new generation he has not seen Azar,s leg side play,Dravid’s patience n determination n leg flicks,Lara i mean he was complete left handed batsmen or u can add Ganguly’s cover drive👍
Sehwag's cut shot was the best for right handers in tests....
His picks are typical of every 90s kid. Our heroes growing up. Labuschagne will also make a name for himself in the gentleman game
I was expecting Lara's name right at the top when he talked about lefties. Surprised that he wasn't even in the list!!
I'll also add 'The wall's' front foot defence, defence in general..
Such a treat to the eyes
Marnus basically wanna appease all and sundry..Such a nice bloke lil' Marnus
Ross Taylor also plays that JL’s kinda square drive beautifully.
clever with thumbnail guys,
good job 👍👍
Marnus is evolving to one among them
You beauty...Marnus
Great video!, only missing Brian Laras flair for the leftie.
One thing I came through is Cric Australia has Epidemic Sounds subscription 😂. That bgm 😅
Lara driver , Ganguly (step out to spinner) and Yuvraj flick and pull are worth to be mentioned.
You had to add a bunch of unknown indaiyans in with lara, pathetic
In test cricket and specially in the period of 1990-2005 I think the two batsman has no competition for the lefties and for the righties
♡The right h. batsman=
SACHIN RAMESH TENDULKAR🔝
♡The left hander batsman=
BRIAN CHARLES LARA🔝

Backfoot punch by Tendulkar. The greatest shot ever in cricket.
The way he plays spin completely resembles Kohli

Yuvi's bat flow is one of its kind
test century no. 44...whooshhh...kallis is a legend
1:09 I believe that's called the Flamingo Shot
He didn't take Brian Lara's square cut which is one of the most beautiful shots of all time along with Sangakkara's cover drive.
Of all of Sachin’s shots, I never got why his straight dive was singled out as his signature shot🤷🏻♂️. Always thought all his other shots were just as gorgeous, classy and elegant!
among left handers wonder why Lara, Gilchirist were missed out
I rember when i was 8 first season with my brother and our team had matthew hadden kids so it was preety cool meeting

What about legend brain lara. Every shot in the book (right posture)
That Sangakkara cover drive is pure therapy
He seems like a student of the game
Sanga's cover drive & Mahela's late cut😍
Sanga's cover drive. Nothing better 😍
It would have been incredible to miss one of the Waughs but he missed both???
Marnus perfectly sums up that he started understanding cricket after 2007
Dravid's leg flick and defensive stop
Straight Drive: Sachin Tendulkar
Pull/Hook: Ricky Ponting
Cover Drive: Kumar Sangakara/R.Dravid
Flick: Alastair Cook/ VVS Laxman
Back foot punch: H. Amla/ K.Willamson
Square Cut: Brian Lara
Late cut: Sachin Tendulkar
Upper Cut: Sachin Tendulkar
Front foot Defence: Rahul Dravid
Leaving: Steven Smith
Sweep: AB de Villiers
Sachin’s Straight drive .. still goosebumps
Sir Alastair cook can still fit in that eng 11 to be honest
Playing spin in turning track didn't matter in selection of both the right and left hander although most those mentioned here are good at it.
That went off the rails very early 😂
Everything on point ❣️ was expecting yuvraj ruthlessness for left handers 💯
Glad to see KP getting 2 mentions
As a lefty myself, anytime someone misses jayasuriya's cut shots in these kinds of videos I get really sad 😔
But love you Marnus. Favorite test player currently.
That square cut over point cover for six, special player
brian lara was too flamboyant
I think Sachin's backfoot punch must be mentioned.... My favorite shot of all time
