Many, many years ago, my dad told me that he wanted this song played at his funeral. I was horrified, being forced to think of such things. That day this song changed forever. I cried almost every time I heard it. One year ago today, as he gazed over my mom, watching her slip away, they listened to it together one last time.

1975: bought this right after graduating from high school. This track always touched me, and it mostly came true later that fall, when I met Jennifer. It ended far too soon, and every time I pass Blue Springs on I-70, I wonder about the girl on 15th Street. Who are you now, and I hope you're safe and well, and if not, at peace. It remains a favorite track from an essential LP.

One of my favorite Moody's songs, and it wasn't even them, exactly. Just some of them. I played this song at the college open mic several years ago, and it's one of those that are difficult to do, for sure! Many reasons why.
