Since I was a little girl, I've always wanted to adopt. The other day I was talking to my coworkers and I mentioned that if I ever get married, I'd like to become a foster family, sadly their gut reactions were to mention how tough it is and how damaged most kids from foster care are.. Well duh, that's why they need a good and loving home.

As a foster youth that was adopted and put back in foster care 12 years later after years of abuse... you aren't wrong. It's the good foster parents that make a huge difference for foster youth. I had some crap ones but I remain close with one foster mom now 20 years later. 💕

JennaB I’m sorry you had to go through that, but it’s good to hear that you have a good relationship with one of your foster moms. I really hope to give some kids a safe and loving home some day

Hi Lise, not always true....I am a Foster Mom and my husband and I have fostered 26 kids in 6 years. We have only had a few with major behaviors, and the last set of sisters were wonderful, smart and and well behaved girls! Every family has their story, but as an optimistic person, ours has been wonderful and a blessing in our life! Some of the kids we fostered have had behavior challenges, but Moms I know have the same issues with their own bio kids sometimes! I hope you do become a foster parent one day!

I loved this film. Didn't make adoption or Foster look like a walk in the park but showed how a sense of humour can really make a huge change in how you see things.

My family really enjoyed and appreciated this movie in many ways. My husband and I have been talking about and looking into fostering/adoption of "older" kids especially since they're often pushed aside due to people wanting babies or toddlers. I myself grew up in a bad situation and if it weren't for my little sister I would have left ASAP. I truly hope we'll be able to do that soon, we already have 4 kids between my husband and I, we have so much love in our hearts all we want is to show a child/children so much love, acceptance and overall a wonderful future. Thank you so much for bringing this to light.

I'm looking forward to this movie to watch the entire process happen and prepare myself. I also hope people are more understanding about people who choose to adopt or foster, because so many people my husband and I encounter try to discourage us because of all the negatives.

Jasmine Rae people are generally selfish and only want/can only love their own DNA so don’t listen to them. More people should be encouraged to be selfless and loving and foster and adopt children. Thank you for being awesome and doing it. Cheers🥂

It's sad... I know people that have spent more money then some people make in annual salary just to try and have biological children... Sad more people like you don't exist... Congrats on the journey.

Don't be discouraged - we've adopted twice, 4 kids total, out of foster care. It has been an amazing experience. The trailers for this movie are bringing back wonderful, and accurate, memories.

My friend had foster girls and she was such an awesome mom. The girls wouldn’t allow the adoption but that’s their choice. So sad, my friend was such an awesome mom. She’s been wanting the be a mom all her life.

Mariane Grace Palafox well not *everything* is the same in the movie as in real life they added the teenage for more of an exciting story and also all three of the kids in the movie are like stereotypes which makes it a lot better *in my opinion*
